Chapter 1: Broken Sky

If school were a prison, this place would surely be the biggest prison that ever existed.

With a campus of up to 4800 Hectares (around 12000 Arce) Superior High School is indeed worthy of being the most massive and majestic school in the world, with a unique selection mechanism, an extremely convenient and generous scholarship system, it is not difficult to understand why talented and elite young people from all over the world flock to this place like a bunch of bird see breadcrumb.

To understand how great this school is, just look at the building where Voma is currently lying to enjoy the breeze.

Seven stories high, clean on the outside, luxurious design, green trees and fragrant flowers are planted everywhere and are also very neatly and meticulously cared for... instead of calling it a school, this place looks more like a castle.

But in reality, this castle was just a part of the massive architecture inside that Four Thousand Eight Hundred Hectares wide campus, its purpose was nothing more than to contain a few rows of classrooms for the first years like Voma.

"Instead of a school, this place is more of a King Place." After thinking for a while, the person who lying on the roof of the massive building suddenly muttered a sarcastic sentence.

In a way that statement is true, after all, the purpose of this school from the very beginning was to train and create more elites for the future of the world, so calling it a school for royalty wasn't too wrong at all.

It's just that in the past fifty years or so, this school has begun to expand its educational scope, aiming to develop industries that have been growing rapidly in recent times, such as the modern entertainment industry or sport.

"Whatever, what does that have to do with me?"

Voma shook his head to clear away the complicated thoughts flowing through his mind.

"The weather sure nice today.... huh." After a long deep breath, Voma Happily whispered.

The monsoon during the transition from Autumn to Winter was the type of wind that Voma loved the most.

The feeling of coolness brushing against the skin while the pale warm rays of sunlight shone on the body at the same time was something that nothing could beat.

The sun was not too harsh but gentle, the wind was not too cold but fresh, it was ideal as if the heavens himself had personally created it just for taking a nap, just the way Voma liked it.

"Good job, heavens." Voma silently raised a thumbs up towards the sky.

What a perfect day, I hope nothing happens...

  "Fu fu fu fu fuu~"

In the quiet space, a low, creepy laugh that could send chills down one's spine suddenly rang out, instantly waking Voma from his trance.

This laugh was the kind that could make one's heart stop if heard while alone in the dark, without even turning his head to look, Voma could tell exactly who is the owner of this extremely unique laugh was.

A girl suddenly appeared out of nowhere at the only door leading to this rooftop, knowing who she was, Voma didn't even bother to look.

"What do you want, Falfri?" He asked directly.

"Lying down, letting your soul drift to the sky bath in sunlight while your body down here enjoying the cold wind, you really know how to waste your youth... Voma." In contrast, Fafri Kosmima didn't answer his question directly but only slowly walked toward him.

As soon as she finished speaking, she has already appeared right next to the young man she had just evaluated, using her dark eyes to look directly down at him.

This action of hers just happened to block some of the warm sunlight and cool wind blowing on Voma, causing him to feel a little annoyed and open his eyes to look at her.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Kosmima Falfri's face right in front of him, at this distance he could see almost every detail on her face.

A pair of perfect crystal like black eyes, along with a creepy smile were the first things anyone would notice the moment they saw her.

Next was her relatively petite figure with a modest height of only about 162 centimeters (around 5'4") and black hair tied into two long tails. The female student uniform on her body also suited her small figure very well, is also has a same dark color with those eyes.

An appearance that is logically very beautiful, but there is something about Falfri that makes anyone who looks at her feel a bit cold, making her despite possessing a beautiful appearance, rarely anyone dares to approach her.

Ignore Voma's displeasure, Kosmima Falfri still stood there and said to him with a creepy smile. "You really like wasting time, hmm? No, for you, this isn't wasting time, it should be called enjoying the moment in your own way."

"Exactly, in this regard, no one understands me better than you, right?" Hearing Falfri say that, Voma raised his hand up and snapped his finger, indicating that the girl guess was correct.

"However." As soon as Voma finished speaking, Falfri suddenly turned around and spoke. "From the perspective of many people, and personally... me, you're like a rough diamond that refuses to be polished and continues to let itself get stuck in the mud, ignore anyone that want to take it out and clean it."

She paused for a moment to glance at the boy lying nearby, then ended her speech with a sentence. "What a pity."

"Hey, if you're here to pry on me, please go somewhere else, I'm on lunch break." In response to his friend's sarcasm, Voma just pouted and made a hissing sound, then waved his hand as if chasing away an annoying cat.

"If your lunch break start at nine in the morning, then i indeed have bothering you. But I guess not, because it hasn't even been five minutes since I left the classroom to look for you."

If both of them were still in class, they would see that the hour hand of the wall clock located at the back of their classroom was currently pointing to the number nine, while the minute hand was pointing to the number six, slightly to the left.

"Tsk, so the teacher send you huh? How annoying." Voma clicked his tongue, then complained about the teacher who is currently absent.

Falfri Kosmima once again used her usual pleasant voice to laugh out loud, which sounded creepy. "Fu fu fu fu fu~... Indeed, if she wanted to send someone to find you then is obviously gonna be me, after all, this school is kindly enormous so the only person who can find you in five minutes is me." After laughing, she put her index finger on her lips and said proudly.

"Fortunately, i'm out here on my own will, the teacher have nothing to do with this."

  "Hah, you deliquent."

"Look who talking... Nonetheless You'd better hurry back, even if you have special authority... there still no benefit in making the homeroom teacher angry."

"I'm sorry, but it seems like I've already angered her." Voma shrugged and replied.

Although the boy appeared to not care about it, he still honestly stood up, rolled his shoulders to relax his muscles before go back to classroom.

Falfri Kosmima saw this and laughed. "It's never too late to fix a watch."

The girl had just finished speaking, when she saw Voma suddenly reveal a bewildered expression, his mouth and eyes are wide open, looking at something behind her.

Instinctively, Falfri quickly turned to look behind her and the sight she saw right after made her - who had always make a strange but calmly smile - fall into the same state of stiffness as Voma.

After turning around, the first thing the black-haired girl saw was a giant crack appearing above the blue sky, spreading all over the place, like a mirror that had been smashed by a stone.

Sensing something was wrong, Voma rushed forward, hugged Falfri, and turned around to protect her.

Before the young girl even had time to react, those cracks suddenly exploded, shooting out strange pieces of space glass.

The moment the crack exploded, Voma and Falfri's consciousnesses immediately fell into darkness.

  .

  .

  .

The next time Voma's consciousness returned, he witnessed an extremely strange scene.

The scene before him, without knowing when, had suddenly changed from the rooftop of a high-class school to a dry forest.

The clean floor on the rooftop had turned into cracked, dry ground. Even the sky above had changed from a beautiful clear blue to a sea of black clouds, intertwined and overlapping, layer upon layer, looking like a dirty pillow that hadn't been washed for a long time.

"Where am I..." The first sentence that Voma uttered since regaining consciousness had not yet finished, when it was interrupted by his instinct to sense danger, as it suddenly rang like the sound of a copper bell on New Year's Day.

The young man with long black hair immediately jumped back out of reflex.

From deep within the darkness, something shot out as fast as a bullet and as strong as a cannon, hitting the spot where Voma had just stood, causing a loud explosion that sent dust flying everywhere.

Without waiting for the dust to clear, the thing that has just attack him rushed out, using its thick claws try to kill Voma once more.

But instead of dodging like before, the young man decided to counterattack!

He swung his left hand, deflecting the enemy's claw, followed by a punch from his right hand, punching straight into what he thought was the chest of the person who had just attacked him.

The counterattack successfully hit its target, the enemy was punched and fell backwards, screaming in pain. Seizing this opportunity, Voma rode forward without stopping, raising his leg to kick straight at the lower part of the thing who had just attacked him.

Unexpectedly, that thing was also unusually agile, it tried to suppress the pain and flipped backwards, successfully escaping a fatal blow.

Seeing this, Voma did not show any surprise, but like lightning, he charged forward again, intending to continuously attack, not giving his enemy a chance to catch breath.

However, Voma's attack, which seemed like an unstoppable tiger pouncing on its prey, suddenly stopped halfway.

  "What the hell..."

Voma's fist stopped in mid-air, because thanks to the faint light from the moon, he could now clearly see the shape of the thing standing in front of him.

It had the body of a human and the head of a wolf, about 1.9 meters tall, with a back as big as a bear and shoulders as strong as a tiger, its body was covered in thick fur like a wild beast, no matter how you looked at it, it didn't look human at all.

Not just that, its hands were also big and thick, its claws were long and sharp, its two legs firmly planted on the ground had a structure that looked like the hind legs of a cat that infuse with the legs of a human.

  Werewolf.

That's right, the thing Voma has been fighting all this time is a werewolf, a werewolf that seems to have come out of legends.

"Werewolf? An Artificial product? No, this smell isn't Artificial! Could it be..."

Swallowed by surprise for a short while, Voma quickly regained his senses and immediately swung his fist again to attack his enemy.

But no matter how quickly he recovered, he was still absent-minded for a moment and just that moment was enough for the werewolf to react in time and retreat to avoid that punch.

Seeing this, Voma no longer continued to advance, but instead withdrew his fists, preparing for a fierce battle.

The wolf growled at what should have been its prey with bloodshot eyes filled with murderous intent, then it suddenly let out a roar as if its animal instincts had erupted, and charged towards Voma like crazy.

Savage and brutal, it continuously swung its dirty but sharp claws towards its enemy, intending to tear the creature before it to death.

The young man was not easy to deal with either, for some reason he also suddenly went crazy, he dodged the werewolf's first two claws, before suddenly roared and lost his initial calmness, throwing a punch at his enemy's chin.

The shock from the chin spread to the brain, making the wolf feel dizzy and weaken its limbs, causing it to fall to the ground uncontrollably. But Voma did not let the wolf fall so easily, he grabbing the it fur and pulling it up, then punching it straight in the face, breaking its nose.

The wolf's already protruding face was now almost sunk in by Voma's punch, but he didn't stop there. The young man suddenly grabbed the wolf's leg and spun it around twice before slamming its head into the rock next to the two of them.

The werewolf quickly raised its hands to protect its head from being crushed.

The wolf's two hands shook as it collided with the rock, it screamed in pain as it felt its forearm bones seemed to have cracked, not daring to let the enemy control its ankles any longer, it took advantage of the moment when Voma's hand was slightly loose to kick the young man and quickly jumped out to keep some distance to find a chance to catch a breath.

But how can Voma give it a chance to rest, when the werewolf kicked him, not only did he not retreat but he also jerked his body forward and stomped hard on the ground, rushing towards the werewolf, conveniently picking up a piece of wood, aimed at his foe, planning to using the sharp end of this fine wood to stab the beast in the eye.

The Werewolf was so frightened that he quickly raised his hand want to block the incoming attack, but the moment when he move his hand, the pain from the two broken bones made his face grimace.

Seeing that, Voma took the opportunity to rush forward, piercing the Werewolf's eye socket, causing thick blood and pus to spurt out like a fountain. Not stopping there, the young man with a fierce face raised his leg and used all the strength in his body to stomp straight at the wolf's head.

The crisp sound of the skull shattering rang out, the blood and brain matter and all kinds of fluids splattered out, contaminating the entire area.

Seeing that his enemy was completely dead, Voma let out a sigh before pulling his leg out of the pile of blood and brain matter that still had some warmth.

  "Huh...?"

Before Voma had time to sit down and rest, something even more bizarre than the werewolf from earlier appeared in front of him, out of nowhere.
