Content to let the matter drop, Saanvi simply kept a smile on her face and returned the conversation back to their little daytime outing. “I have younger siblings which you know full well. Regardless, I am perplexed why you get into your hyper..” She opened her eyes wide to appear like she was frightened, “...watcher’s mood. They are fiction, you know.” Impulsively tracing the colors and lines on KC’s tattoo of a line of interwoven cherry blossoms on her thigh, Vi soothed her partner. “Hollywood likes to fuel people’s fear, these hit us very close to home, but are still fake. So I will ask you every time we go and watch all…” Vi did her best to recall the day, “...they all blended together. I don’t know how many there are.”
“Five and a short-lived TV show.” Kimberly leaned up and shoved her pillow behind her back and then scooted to cross her legs. “Yeah, I know they are fake.” Kim looked down and finally into Saanvi’s cool eyes. “It’s more the idea that something worse is going on, and that it blends so seamlessly into society.” KC thought about how to address the same issue that the two had on many occasions with a new outlook. “What if…” She walked her hand lightly on Vi’s arm. “...it’s something that we’ve always missed? I mean look at what I do.” Kim gnced over to her family pictures and then back to Vi, an empty look in her brown eyes. “Isn’t part of that whole idea that the agent doesn’t exist?”
“Mmm…” Saanvi purred contently while Kim danced her fingers along her arm. “You exist silly. Employment doesn’t make the person, KC. It’s what you do, not who you are. I mean every person has to wear some sort of look or persona while at work. Flight attendants smile and greet you happily while they think about their sister in the hospital with COVID.”
“I know that, Vi.” Kimberly agreed and softly stroked Saanvi’s cheek with the back of her finger, “It’s why we don’t talk about office stuff at home.”
“It’s worked for four years now.” Vi bounced her muscur form closer to Kimberly. “I am starting to believe that it’s the actor pying Borne that you like. I mean you did call another guy a god.”
Thankfully sensing the shift in Saanvi’s tone, KC leaned over and dangled her brown hair pyfully on her lover’s nose. “Are you trying to take away my pink and purple stripes of pride?” Kim asked, “Well, they aren’t yours to take.” She took Vi’s hand into her own, “Plus, while that guy is yummy as guys go…” Kim pced their combined hands back on her thigh, “...I wouldn’t get a tattoo for him. These are all yours, Cherry-blossom.” Crawling her smaller form atop of Saanvi’s hips, Kimberly took her time and followed the gentle contours along Vi’s big shoulders and biceps. Memory of the silky flower and how Saanvi loved to visit the arboretum in the spring to watch the first blooms come out of their winter hibernation had been what inspired KC to get the image inked on her skin on Vi’s st birthday. “Hey.” Kimberly faintly and featherly whispered to get Vi to reopen her penetrating machite orbs, “I love you, Saanvi. Thanks for coming today and keeping me…” She paused and wiggled her hands across the tight squares that made Vi’s core. “...grounded.”
Regardless of the time the two spent together, Saanvi still never fully understood why the simple touch of the woman in her sight was so difficult to resist. While she was used to her partners touching every part of her ample form, Vi felt like it was only physical and the need to experience a sculpted body once. By contrast, the first time that KC had touched Vi, it was in conjunction with her thesis and provided support rather than a desire to know what y beyond her grey US Army tee. It took another two years and lots of failed retionships mixed with a healthy dose of drunken nights for Saanvi to finally admit to herself that the simple gesture resonated so deeply within her being. Once the decision was made, Saanvi gave up the mountain of vodka that she’d been consuming and refocused herself back into the dy she wanted to become and have Kimberly desire. “I’m gd I found you again, KC.” Vi offered and began twirling KC’s hair between her fingers. “So..” She whispered back, “...gd the number still worked.” With a gentle tug on KC’s hair, Saanvi brought the pair close enough so their lips were barely touching. “Three hours, six checkpoints, one very uncomfortable strip search and we were eating a very…” Vi smiled and touched their lips together briefly, “...bad lunch at the Pentagon.”
Taking her back in time and envisioning their first lunch, Kimberly specifically recalled one thing, Saanvi’s voice. It wasn’t difficult to pick out the nervousness due to her half-sentences and breathy stammers within her words, but that wasn’t what made KC decide to meet with her future partner. Listening and assessing as she did in almost every situation outside of her home, KC had gone beyond the little hesitant breaths and caught wind of Vi’s fun mid-western accent bubbling with enthusiasm and confidence. Music to her ears, KC immediately recalled their first meeting and decided to take a chance. “Lucky for you I have a weakness for your firm tone, missy. You melted me with that cute little hiccup voice you used.” KC trailed a few kisses along Vi’s neck right below her chin. “The lunch was immaterial as compared to seeing your round and yet angled face with eyes as calming green as a meadow.” KC felt her heartbeat surge and send vibrant waves all through her body. “There was a look…” She hesitated and resumed massaging Saanvi’s shoulders again. “...a mystery. A woman who was experienced and confident, quietly yearning for more.” KC grabbed Saanvi’s hand and pced it back over the tattoo that KC had dedicated to Vi. “Almost as though…you were relieved.”
“I was.” Saanvi calmly stated with a succulent smile creeping slowly over her lips. “Is it so impossible for you to understand that it took…” She paused and traced the white-violet cherry blooms on KC’s thigh. “...You know there is a feeling, or a moment where you know something is right. Sometimes that comes as a bolt of lightning…” Saanvi finished her sensual exploration of Kimberly’s thigh and gently skimmed Kimbery’s lips. “...other times a simple touch can set a lifetime in motion.” She perked her brow questioningly. “I know you think the same thing, I can see it dancing in your creamy brown eyes right now.”
Certainly not a new topic, Kimberly none-the-less always enjoyed the way Saanvi would come up with different angles to describe their meeting and how she felt. Kissing her lover's finger as it slowly circled her lips, KC’s slow burn brought a visual to her. Night descended on her with a few fshes of light that pulsed out a trail that shone of silver and waivered like a fg in a breeze. Wherever the path touched it glued the light in pce, finally giving it a purpose, a definitive pce. “Love.” Kimberly felt her heart flutter. “It’s a bond.” She noticed the lustful look disappear from Saanvi’s eyes to be repced with confusion. “Look at us right now, Vi.”
“I was trying to.” Saanvi lightly purred and watched as KC leaned up. “Okay, look at us. You are straddling my hips and that lovely long hair of yours was barely touching my cheeks.” She paused, “You don’t mean physically.” Vi giggled.
