A Guide for Pigs – Chapter 3 – A Ritual to Kill Death [End]

  Chapter

  3 – A Ritual to Kill Death

  The preparations for the

ritual are complete. Now, I will return the tome to its original

place, the library. He had already served me, and will soon serve

someone else. Celestial beings will always present themselves to

  those who unconsciously seek them.

  I

arrive at the library, it is empty, inside there are only pages and

ink. I quickly head towards reception. My friend, Wesley, has a

  forced smile on his face.

  —

  Good

morning, my friend. — I say, placing the obscure tome on the

  table.

  — Ah! Have you finished studying it? — Wesley asks,

  casually picking up the book.

  —

  Yes,

I have finally uncovered its secrets! I thank you, Wesley, for

providing me with a way out, an alternative path to the end of my

life. — I thank Wesley. From the look on his face, it is obvious

that he did not understand a word I said.

  — Are

you all right? Has the pain gotten better or worse? Look, David, I am

worried... maybe you should go to the doctor... — My friend says. I

do not have time to answer his futile questions, I have to finish the

  ritual.

  — I

am fine! The pain is better. I am probably getting better. — I say,

interrupting Wesley. I have already returned the tome to its original

place, there is nothing more to do here, I must return home soon. —

Goodbye my friend, take good care of the tome. — I say, leaving the

building. Wesley says something I don't care about and I just ignore

  him.

  I

must find Bob, but I have no idea where he is. Before going to bed, I

ask for help from the celestial beings; they will certainly help me.

  —

  Emperor

over the city of neon, master of the abyss of countless faces, help

me in my search, reveal the path to my goal. — I recite these words

while lying in bed. I focus on the target I am looking for, and after

a few minutes, the path is revealed to me.

  In

my vision, I see a bright yellow road made of countless bricks. This

road stretches through the forest, slithering through it like a

snake. I follow the path to the place where I summoned Dyeus, a few

meters later, I see a bush. That's where my dog hides.

  I

wake up abruptly, with the path engraved in my memory.

  I

have an idea to catch the animal, without the need for a conflict. I

take one of my sleeping pills, crush it up, and put the powder on a

piece of meat. This should put the dog into a deep sleep. Finally, I

grab my small flashlight and a chain from the garage and head out.

  Soon

the sun will rise, fortunately I managed to capture the animal. When

I threw the piece of meat he quickly ate it, a few minutes later he

lay down and slept. Now he is chained to the table in my living room.

  “For

the point of convergence to be opened, it is necessary to physically

sacrifice a being close to the person who wants to open it.” As

soon as I discovered this information, I thought of Wesley, but I

have only known him for a short time, and he would not be of any use.

The person closest to me was my beloved Anna, and now that she is

gone, the being who best fits the description of what I need is Bob,

  my old pet.

  I

take the unconscious animal to the center of my room. The symbols

cover it completely. I confess that carving them into the ceiling was

the most complicated part. Fortunately, everything seems to be in

order. I wait for the right moment, for sunrise. When its light

begins to rise on the horizon, the sacrifice will be made. When the

sun's rays enter the dark room, I pass the dagger through the

animal's throat. The blood slowly flows from the wound, filling the

  symbols carved throughout the room.

  The

viscous red liquid flows through the grooves at impossible angles. In

a short time, the old animal becomes a carcass of flesh and bones,

completely drained of its vital essence.

  Blood

begins to accumulate in the center, at the point of convergence, a

small central point on the wall in front of me. The point slowly

expands, little by little, the connection between this reality and

  the neon city is established.

  A

circle, formed of blood, about two meters high and four meters long,

opens, the liquid swirls around the edges at high speed. On the other

side of this portal, a small creature with grayish skin appears, with

a macabre smile of yellowish teeth disproportionately printed on its

face. I feel that this is the emperor of the void, The Gray Goblin

  has manifested itself.

  —

  Great

lord of the abyss, it is an honor to be graced with your presence. —

I say, bowing before the celestial being.

  — Ah!

A servant, I am rarely called by one. Your dream is so profound! You

didn't want to wait for a hearing? I understand... as you wish,

human, I will grant you what you seek. My city, my subjects, need

someone to guide them, a guide for the pigs, that will be you, my

right hand, a leader for my subjects, the guide who lives eternally

in the city of neon. — Says the emperor, his macabre smile

stretching across his face. When he extends his cadaverous arm, I am

  instantly pulled into the portal.

  I

wake up in the city I have visited so many times before, however, now

I am not traveling through the serpent, I am physically present in

this place. Even with my body modified, I still feel the excruciating

pain. Well, that does not matter, because the cycle of life has been

  broken, death has been killed.
