A man sitting behind a large dark wood desk frowned at the little green gem in his hand and the display it was giving him. Tapping his finger on the desk he considered something.
"Just what were you up to in your final moments Sirus," The man asked aloud, "And why am I the one you chose to be your heir?"
His emerald eyes gazed over the proverbial mountain of paperwork sitting in front of him. And they landed on the unrolled scroll sitting in the middle, which he read once again. Maybe there was something he was missing, a key to the final puzzle left by his friend and family. He read it aloud, trying to spot something, anything that would give him insight into the machinations of the Great Sage.

"At the time of you reading this, I will be dead. It was not an unfulfilled life and I left behind many things that need tending. My heir will need to be arcanely trained and talented to manage my affairs appropriately. As such I have chosen my nephew Auelda Abernathy, former Demon Prince and current Celestial Lord of the Other. While not related by blood, I am confident in his abilities and wholeheartedly vouch for his sound of mind and body, having personally aided in the expulsion of the Heldarian influence that led to his fall into the depths of hell," Auelda couldn't help but smile a little, it felt like so long ago he was recovering from what his father had done to him, the pain and time it took to recover was immense, he continued to read.
"Now, as to my inheritance, Auelda will inherit all of my assets, past, present, and future experiments. There are still versions of me wandering the Timescape but the Lich's curse will take their lives as surely as it has claimed mine without the protection of the Chronosphere. Of particular note, as I'm well aware of the fight from other beings of power, my library of souls falls directly under his control as well as my last experiment to save the world I once called my home, Hanastin. Now then with the legal things taken care of this message is directly for you Auelda. I've established a sort of guide to power for the people that currently inhabit our homeworld, using what was left of the Chronosphere. It shouldn't take much of your time and attention away from your various other duties and won't require your direct intervention most of the time. I've set it to evolve and update according to the people's needs. But if things get out of hand and it starts producing beings that pose a genuine threat to the universe and cannot be reasoned with, terminate the project and collect the remnants of its power."
Auelda sat back in his chair, considering. He had just watched the guide update for its denizens but it was using, what was it called again, video game logic? Experience points, skills, classes, it all went a little over his head but should be easy enough to manage. It was better than doing what he and his father, Alaric, had done to achieve their power and surpass mortal limitations.
He picked up another bundle of paper, details about the guide, or as it called itself, the Chrono System. It was time to read up on the unchanging details that the System wasn't allowed to touch.
