The true colors of the conspiracy

Taking one step after another, Gu Zong advanced with a stable fury. His eyes were red with anger. His calm face hid the terrifying storm brewing beneath it. He moved forward slowly, thinking and processing. He had just learned from some people that Han Lao Fang had abdicated his position, Han Zao Shi had become the Clan Head, and, most critically, Zao Shi had initiated the Cultivation Path without Lao Fang's permission. This was worse than a crime.

However, he had to control himself for now because he was in a weak body. One mistake could destroy this vessel, for his power was no ordinary power; he was a Pillar of Death. Even a slight leakage of his power could reduce this body to ashes. So, he kept moving, calm and suppressing his rage.

Meanwhile, when Han Wuang Shi reached the main gate, the officials and others were astonished, for standing before them was none other than Han Wuang Shi himself, his eyes burning with fury. He strode forward directly, but some officials immediately blocked his path and said:

"Xian Yong Ming. Exiled people are not allowed to enter the Han Clan. Return immediately."

Ignoring their words, he asked with a stern face and an angry voice. His eyes were like those of an uncontrollable wolf staring down its prey. He demanded:

  "Where is Han Lao Fang?"

Hearing this, everyone looked at each other and then burst into laughter. One of them said:

"Han Lao Fang? He has also been exiled, just like you. And now he must be rotting in the dungeon. Well, that's sweet. One exiled brother worrying about another exiled brother."

Everyone laughed at his pathetic joke. But suddenly, a swift, electric-like attack sliced the man's throat, and he fell immediately. Everyone was shocked. The attack had come from Han Wuang Shi. Blood was still dripping from his sword, and his eyes were ready for the hunt.

Immediately, everyone drew their swords and rushed at Han Wuang Shi. But Han Wuang Shi, the only master proficient in the talismanic sword technique, stood calmly, closed his eyes, and formed a hand seal. Suddenly, his sword, Su Hu Hun, glowing with a blue aura, flew into the air on its own. It attacked everyone simultaneously. It was so fast and sharp that when its strike hit the ground, it cleanly carved a deep line. All the officials tried to counter Su Hu Hun, but within moments, the sword dispatched every single one of them. It then returned automatically to its sheath, which hung on Han Wuang Shi’s back, alongside his Guqin.

Those who witnessed the massacre fled the scene instantly. One officer, running desperately, reached the Assembly Hall, where Han Zao Shi was still sitting on his throne. When the panicked man stumbled inside, Zao Shi immediately stood up. The man fell at his feet and stammered frantically:

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

"Clan Head! He has come! He has entered the Clan! He has killed many officials! Do something, Clan Head! Save us!"

Han Zao Shi shouted back in anger:

"Who? Who has entered? Who killed the officials? Who dares to do this?"

The man took a deep breath, terrified, and then spoke the name. But mistakenly, he blurted out:

"Clan Head. It's Han... Han Wuang Shi!"

And just as the name Han Wuang Shi left his lips, tearing through the air with the speed of light, like a falling star, the Su Hu Hun sword screamed into the Hall and decapitated the man with one precise strike.

The man's corpse fell right at Han Zao Shi's feet. The sword spun and headed back towards the entrance, but just as it reached the doorway, Han Wuang Shi caught it mid-air. Everything happened so fast that Han Zao Shi didn't even have time to blink. His gaze was fixed on the fallen man below. He watched the corpse with wide, astonished eyes. But when he lifted his head and looked up, Han Wuang Shi was standing before him in the doorway. He was scared. In a panic, he drew his sword and pointed it at Han Wuang Shi, shouting:

"Don't come near me, or I will kill you! Don't come close, I'm warning you! I... I will kill you! You don't know what I am capable of! Stay away!"

But his pointless rant had no effect on Han Wuang Shi. He just asked calmly, though there was no peace in his voice or eyes. He said:

"I didn't expect this from you, Zao Shi. How could you even think you could become the Clan Head of the Han Clan?"

Zao Shi, irritated by this, replied in anger:

"Yes, Senior Brother. I thought it, and I thought it just as Father had thought it! What did Father and I not do for all of you? But Mother always spoke only of making you the Clan Head. Not once did she think of me. But I decided. I was determined that I would be the Clan Head, no matter what I had to do for it."

It was at this moment that Gu Zong also reached the main gate of the Han Clan, where many people were fleeing in terror. Gu Zong was surprised by the sudden stampede. Many questions arose in his mind upon seeing this anarchy. He rushed inside and was stunned by what he saw: countless corpses lay before him; there was blood everywhere. Gu Zong ran forward and stopped a man who was rushing out of the Han Clan. Gu Zong asked:

"Excuse me, brother. Do you know what happened here?"

The man replied hastily, trembling with fear:

"Oh, brother, that Master Xian Yong Ming came here. He did all this. Whenever he comes out of his clan, he causes bloodshed like this. That man is mad! Let me go, brother, or he will kill the rest of us too! You run away too if you want to survive!"

Hearing this, Gu Zong felt numb. What he had feared had happened. Han Wuang Shi had truly become an extraordinary person. He moved forward, and as he progressed, he saw nothing but corpses. Blood and bodies were everywhere.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of clashing swords. He followed the sound directly to the Assembly Hall. What he saw there was beyond his imagination. A fierce battle had broken out between Han Wuang Shi and Han Zao Shi in the hall.

Without any delay, Gu Zong rushed toward Han Wuang Shi. But as soon as Gu Zong took one step into the Hall, the Su Hu Hun sword gave a clear indication, having recognized Gu Zong's energy. And at that exact moment, Han Wuang Shi's gaze fell upon the white stone glowing on the sword.
