Black Angel – Season 2 Episode 33 – The Weight of Choices

Episode 33 – The Weight of Choices

The air of the liberated world was heavy.

The planet itself was nearly dead — its cities reduced to ruins by years of war. Ash floated like snow beneath a dim sky. Yet across the wasteland, thousands of refugees gathered. Survivors. Leaders. Soldiers who had lost everything.

At the center of them all stood Lee.

His sword was still stained with blood.

He raised it slowly, his eyes wet but unwavering.

“Soon… I will become the King of the Krizardians.”

  Murmurs spread across the crowd.

“I know the chaos I am causing. I know what my actions are doing to the universe. But remember this — the price of peace is always high.”

His voice faltered for just a moment.

“I am not like áris. I will not use you as political tools. Evil prevails only when good people stay silent.”

Some among the refugees began to cry.

“I fight for those I love… but also because the Creator will one day erase everything. He can no longer endure watching us destroy each other for power.”

  The crowd erupted.

  “Lee! Lee! Lee!”

Lee lowered his sword, swallowing hard.

“My rule over Krizard will free every race. But to achieve that… some people must step aside.”

  Tears ran down his face.

“To protect the ones I care about… I will walk this path alone.”

Many in the crowd fell to their knees.

Inside the training chamber, holographic enemies flickered in every direction.

Leon punched through one illusion after another.

His breathing was heavy. Sweat dripped from his chin.

  “I can’t fall behind…”

  He struck again, harder.

“I have to get stronger… Lee… count on me.”

The holograms attacked simultaneously. Leon kept fighting.

  His fists were already bleeding.

  Throne Room of áris

Blue flames illuminated the dark throne hall.

áris sat in silence while holographic Spilrian figures floated around him.

One of them — Gin — laughed mockingly.

“Your bastard son believes he is a king.”

  áris did not react immediately.

“He acts exactly like a Krizardian who seeks the throne,” áris said coldly. “But Lee forgets one thing… he was not born here. He built an organization responsible for the deaths of many of our people.”

  Gin shrugged.

“Your traditions don’t interest us. We only care that our alliance continues. If it doesn’t… we will kill him.”

áris stood. The sound of his footsteps echoed across the chamber.

  “Stop hunting him.”

  The Spilrians looked surprised.

“If my warriors cannot stop him, then they are not worthy of being called Gods of War.”

  His eyes hardened.

  “This battle is ours.”

  A pause.

“And if I fall to Lee… then you may do as you wish.”

The metallic sound of chains echoed through the hall.

  Lara’s Room – Alpha Organization

  The room was quiet.

Laura sat on the bed. Lara stood across from her.

“Tell me the truth,” Laura said sternly. “Did your brother say anything to you?”

“No,” Lara replied. “But knowing him… he is probably eliminating opposition and intimidating the Krizardians.”

  Laura exhaled.

  “Why didn’t he tell us?”

“Because he knew you would never agree.”

  Silence filled the room.

“When this ends,” Laura said, “you will marry Dariam.”

  Lara stepped back in shock.

“I thought that was already settled!”

  Laura’s eyes sharpened.

“Tell me the truth. Are you and Leon together?”

  Tears formed in Lara’s eyes.

“So that’s it… prejudice. Don’t compare Leon to my father. He deceived you. Leon is not like him.”

  Laura grabbed her arm.

“You don’t know that. You’ve seen his power. No one hides strength like that without a reason.”

  Lara steadied her breathing.

“I’m not in a relationship with him… but I do like him. And I will not follow Xprian traditions anymore… because I accepted Jesus.”

  Laura’s eyes widened.

“You’ve lost your mind! You would abandon even the goddess you were named after?! You WILL marry Dariam!”

Lara’s voice trembled, but she didn’t retreat.

“You talk about tradition… yet you have loved Lord Vharon for years. And my father forbade that marriage.”

  Laura froze.

“And more,” Lara continued. “Lee and I made a bet — if Leon and I win the tournament, Lee won’t face my father. But you don’t care if your own son bleeds at the hands of the man who should be family.”

  Laura slapped her.

  The sound echoed.

Lara ran out of the room, crying.

Laura remained alone, her hand shaking as tears fell in silence.

  Ending Montage

  Leon continued training violently.
