Episode 5 – It Already Worked
The great hall of Alpha Organization was silent.
Lee’s footsteps echoed across the marble floor as the morning light filtered through the massive windows. The place felt empty… too empty. The size of the building now felt like a burden rather than a symbol of power.
For a long moment he simply stood there, staring at the walls.
They felt heavier than armor.
He wondered if he had made a mistake accepting this position.
Then the doors opened.
Leon walked in.
His posture was straight, his gaze steady, and for the first time since returning, the silence no longer felt oppressive.
“Lee,” Leon said calmly, “this isn’t the end. The Lord didn’t bring us this far just to abandon us now.”
Lee turned slightly.
Behind Leon stood Liu, Lara, and Laura. The atmosphere shifted. Even small smiles began to appear.
Leon bowed his head slightly.
“None of us asked to be here,” he prayed softly. “But You called us to something beyond our understanding. Give us wisdom… and show us that You are the one in control. Amen.”
Laura crossed her arms, still skeptical, and slowly walked away, though her expression had softened more than she wanted to admit.
Suddenly the main screen activated.
A blue glow illuminated the room and the face of the Giant King appeared, relaxed and smiling.
“Hey! Servants of the Most High God! How are you all holding up?”
Lara laughed lightly.

“Hello, Your Majesty.”
“I’ll get straight to the point,” the giant continued. “We can’t reveal ourselves in space yet, but we want to hire your organization. Every family on our planet contributed—even regions that didn’t fight. We raised a large fund for you.”
Lee blinked.
For a brief second, he remembered Leon’s words: It already worked.
The Giant King continued.
“We want Spilrian technology. Discreetly. We intend to make our defenses stronger than theirs.”
“Leave it to us,” Lee replied. “Very few people know you’re still alive.”
“Good. I’ll send the list.”
The transmission ended.
Moments later another screen flickered to life — Dario appeared laughing among members of Beta Organization, his expression sharp and mocking.
Elsewhere, Lara rushed into her mother’s room.
“Mom! We have good news!”
Laura stood up abruptly and, to everyone’s surprise, walked directly toward Lee and embraced him. The tension she had carried for days finally cracked.
Later that day, Leon trained with Professor Liu.
Wooden staffs clashed rapidly, sharp impacts echoing across the training room.
“I still need more training,” Leon said, breathing heavily. “I won’t disappoint Lee again.”
“You are impatient,” Liu replied calmly. “Everything happens at the right time.”
Lara entered in a hurry.
“Lee is gathering everyone. The agents have returned from their missions.”
The main hall filled once more.
A hundred agents now stood before Lee.
He looked at them for a long time before speaking.
“We are few,” he said. “And I know some of you are afraid you chose the wrong side. You are free to leave.”
No one moved.
Lee continued.
“I never believed in divinity… until the Firstborn of creation appeared to me. I carried resentment my entire life. But here, I found people who looked at me differently. If you trust my leadership, I will honor that trust and protect you with my life.”
He told them about Leon sparing a man’s life… and how that single act had changed everything.
“We are only a hundred,” he finished, “yet our resources now rival the other organizations. I owe that to God.”
He glanced upward.
Leon smiled and waved lightly.
Applause erupted.
“Count on me, Director!” one agent shouted. “And introduce me to that God too!”
Laughter spread through the hall.
Hope had returned.
That same night, the Xprian Council gathered.
“The financial numbers of Alpha Organization are absurd,” one counselor said.
“Where is Lee?” Dario demanded. “He must answer for this.”
They contacted Laura through hologram.
She answered coldly.
“I don’t have time. We have missions to run. You’re the ones who transferred five thousand agents like cowards.”
She ended the call immediately.
The room filled with anger.
Later, in the hangar, Leon and Liu returned from a mission and found Lee already there.
Leon approached him.
“I had an idea,” he said. “A surprise attack on the Arena. Today they plan to sacrifice a hundred men. Iris will be there again. It’s our chance to recruit new agents.”
Lee slowly smiled.
“I like the way you think.”
The lights dimmed as the hangar doors closed.
The next move had been decided.
