I Due Assassini

Yuki and Kaori tensed slightly, prepared for any sudden moves. "We're ready to engage whenever you are," Kaori stated, her expression still unwavering.

Fjord's aura could be seen flaring up in preparation for the scuffle. "You're both impatient…I like that," he remarked, observing the two women. "All right then, ladies. Come and get me.”

Without hesitating, Yuki and Kaori rushed forward, their movements as swift as lightning. The two of them moved in tandem, their eyes fixed on Fjord, fully focused on their mission.

Fjord, however, remained composed, catching Yuki's arm, which held a blade of ice, intending to push her back. Kaori, however, had other plans as she was right behind Fjord while he was occupied with Yuki.

Fjord, realizing the approach from behind, swiftly dodged Kaori's attack, swiftly maneuvering his body away from her kick.

Meanwhile, Yuki was caught off-guard by Fjord's move, but she quickly gained her footing and tried to regain her balance. Fjord smirked at her momentary surprise, but before he could react, Yuki lunged forward again, launching a flurry of attacks that Fjord effortlessly blocked with his bare hands.

Yuki and Kaori, despite their combined effort, were getting nowhere against Fjord's skilled defense. Their attacks were swiftly deflected, leaving them seemingly no room to make any progress.

Realizing that their initial attacks were failing, Yuki and Kaori quickly shifted their approach. They tried to coordinate their attacks, launching blows from different angles and aiming for different vital points, hoping to catch Fjord off-guard.

Fjord, however, remained unfazed, his eyes flickering between the two women. He easily dodged and blocked each of their blows, his movements calculated and efficient.

Yuki and Kaori's frustration began to grow, their attempts to land a hit on Fjord proving to be futile. They had underestimated his skills, and it was slowly becoming evident.

Fjord managed to capitalize on a gap in their coordination and grabbed Kaori's wrist, stopping her attack in its tracks. In one swift movement, he used her momentum to swing her off balance, throwing her off towards the wall and pinning her against it.

Kaori grunted as her back slammed against the wall, her momentary loss of focus and the unexpected strength of Fjord's grip had left her temporarily vulnerable. She gritted her teeth, trying to free herself from his hold, but Fjord's grip remained resolute, his body pressing against hers against the wall.

Yuki, seeing her comrade in a compromising position, quickly attempted to come to her defense, but Fjord swiftly grabbed her as well. His strength was formidable as he restrained the two assassins, now holding them both captive against the wall, their wrists pinned above their heads in his powerful grip.

Yuki and Kaori struggled against Fjord's grip, their frustration and sense of helplessness growing with every passing moment.

With ease, Fjord held them both pinned against the wall. They were trapped, their initial confidence now replaced by a sense of vulnerability. The two women glared up at Fjord, their breathing heavy as they tried to free themselves, but his grip remained firm. To Fjord's surprise, his right hand, which he used to hold Yuki, began to freeze.

Fjord was momentarily caught off guard by the unexpected cold sensation on his right hand, realizing the source soon was the ice-wielding Yuki's attempt to escape. He glanced down and saw the ice creeping upon his hand. He chuckled, impressed by Yuki's attempt to free herself.

"Clever," he remarked, his voice dripping with amusement. "Trying to use your element against me.”

Yuki's expression remained resolute as she continued her efforts, her body shuddering with effort as she focused on freezing Fjord's hand. "Worth a shot," she grunted, the ice slowly extending further up his arm.

Fjord glanced between his hand and Yuki, his eyes narrowing. "You're persistent, I'll give you that," he remarked, his hold on both women remaining firm.

However, Yuki's efforts were proving to be increasingly futile as Fjord seemed to adapt quickly, his expression shifting from curiosity to mild boredom. "But I've dealt with ice wielders before," he added, the ice on his hand beginning to recede.

Yuki's frustration grew as she observed Fjord swiftly adapting to her ice-wielding powers. She gritted her teeth, pushing herself to try even harder, desperately attempting to freeze more of his arm in place.

Meanwhile, Kaori struggled in Fjord's grasp, trying to free herself and assist Yuki, her expression betraying a hint of desperation. "Come on, Yuki! Keep it up!" she called out, struggling against Fjord's unyielding grip.

Yuki nodded, gritting her teeth with determination. "I'm trying," she muttered, her focus intensifying, her body shuddering with effort. The ice continued to spread, but now a bit slower.

Kaori, still struggling against Fjord's grip, noticed the change in Yuki's demeanor and tried to encourage her in return. "You can do it! Don't give up!" she said, her voice filled with tension.

Yuki, fueled by Kaori's words and her own determination, pushed herself even further in her efforts to freeze Fjord's arm. "I won't stop," she mumbled between clenched teeth, sweat glistening on her brow.

Kaori, still struggling against Fjord's grasp, observed Yuki's efforts with a mixture of hope and concern. "Keep pushing, Yuki! You're doing great!"

Fjord's eyes flashed red, and in that moment, Yuki found her own arm beginning to freeze.

Yuki's eyes widened as she realized the tables had been turned; her own arm was now frozen solid, her efforts seemingly backfiring.

Kaori, noticing the turn in fortunes, cursed under her breath. "Damn it!" she exclaimed, struggling against Fjord's unyielding grip even more furiously.

Fjord tightened his grip further, his expression neutral. "Quite the predicament, isn't it? You try to use your own powers against me, and it seems to have backfired on you," he remarked, enjoying the irony.

Yuki and Kaori both looked up at him, their desperation evident. They were now more vulnerable than ever before, their arms still pinned above their heads, their chances of escape diminishing rapidly. Kaori, though, has an idea of how to get out of this one…
