Un Affare

Alice, still feeling the effects of the free-for-all battle with the Traveler Bros and the Cyborgs, blinked for a moment as she processed everything that went down. “The Key…we got it."

Rachel nodded with a proud grin, holding the Key in her hand. "Yep! Delphina may have lost it for a bit because of those guys, but we managed to get it back!”

Zalgo added, her voice reflecting hope, "And now we can finally give it to Venera and complete our mission."

Alice, a small smile slowly forming on her face, nodded weakly in agreement. "That's great then... we did it."

Delphina stepped forward, her tail flicking irritably behind her as she watched them celebrate. "Give it away, huh? Hell no, I need it for something!”

Rachel, her smile fading into a stern expression, spun around to face Delphina. "Need it for something, eh? And pray tell, what exactly do *you* need the Key for?"

"That's none of your damn business. Just give it to me. Now.”

“Not a chance. We're taking this Key to Venera per her request. Whatever you need it for can wait…shark lady."

Delphina, her expression darkening, took a step closer, her tail lashing in annoyance. "I said, give me that key! I need it!”

Rachel glared back at Delphina with equal stubbornness. "No deal. This Key is crucial for Venera's plans. We're not giving it to you. Period."

Delphina clenched her fists tightly as she took another threatening step forward. "You have no idea what I need this Key for! Hand it over, now!"

Zalgo waved her hands frantically, stepping in between the two to ease some tension. "Hold on, hold on! Delphina, what exactly do you need the Key for?”

Delphina, her expression still darkened, shot a sharp glare at Zalgo. "It's none of your concern. All you need to know is that I need it for something important."

Rachel huffed incredulously, her grip on the Key tightening. "Important, huh? And just what exactly do you need the Key for? And don't give us any of that 'none of your business' crap. Give us a legit reason why we should give it to you, and MAYBE we'll consider it.”

Delphina hesitated for a moment, weighing the benefits of revealing her true intentions, before finally relenting with a huff.

"Fine," she started reluctantly, "Fine, I'll tell you why I need the key. But you better keep your end of the bargain if I tell you. Understood?"

Rachel exchanged a look with Zalgo before nodding cautiously. "We're listening. Go on.”

Delphina took a deep breath and began her explanation. "Alright. The truth is, the Key is actually crucial for my own purpose. You see, I am a shark-human hybrid, as you already know. My shark form is not merely a physical transformation; it's tied to my being. It's a part of who I am."

Delphina paused, watching their faces to gauge their reactions, before continuing. "And... it's also crucial for what I'm about to say next.”

Rachel and Zalgo exchanged another glance, their skepticism giving way to curiosity as they listened intently.

Rachel leaned in slightly, their suspicion evident but curiosity piqued nonetheless. "Go on. What are you about to say?”

Delphina inhaled deeply, her gaze shifting downward as she prepared to reveal something clearly deeply personal.

"Well..." she began quietly, her voice laced with both hesitation and a hint of vulnerability that was uncharacteristic of her arrogant facade. "My shark form... it's not just some physical transformation. It's a representation of the deepest parts of my soul. And... the onyx key is the key to unlocking a deeper connection to it. A connection that I've been yearning for. It's...it's the key to unlocking the true potential of my shark side.”

Rachel and Zalgo's expressions shifted from skepticism to surprise. It was clear they hadn't expected Delphina's explanation to be so deeply personal. Rachel's grip on the Key loosened a little, her guard dropping slightly.

Zalgo finally spoke, curiosity overriding her skepticism for now. "So, let me get this straight - you need the Key to connect with your shark side? To unlock some kind of hidden potential?”

Delphina gave a small nod of confirmation. "Yes, that's exactly right. I need the Key to fully reconnect with my shark side, to awaken the dormant power within me. It's something I've been searching for a very long time."

Rachel, her suspicion still present but softened by Delphina's admission, asked quietly, "And you're sure you NEED the Key for that? There's no other way?”

Delphina gave a sharp shake of her head, her expression determined. "I'm absolutely positive. The Key is essential for this. It unlocks a special door back in my home world, and behind that door lies a magical trinket that has my locked potential within it. Without it, I won't be able to connect fully with my true self. It's not just a desire, it's a need."

Rachel's grasp on the Key loosened even more as she absorbed Delphina's words. She glanced at Zalgo, silently asking for her opinion.

Zalgo, her expression a blend of understanding and concern, gave a slight nod of agreement as she spoke up. "It sounds like she needs the Key for a personal transformation, not for some evil plan or something like that. We should hear her out, Rachel. Let's give her a chance."

Rachel looked at Delphina, still suspicious, but the edge in her eyes softened. "Fine. We'll hear you out, but if we don't give the Key to Venera, she'll put us in a world of pain. So you need to talk to her about this instead of just taking it and dashing off, yeah? We'll go with you, obviously.”

Delphina felt a sense of relief well up inside her. "I promise, I won't run off with it. I just need to talk to Venera about this. And... I'd appreciate it if you two came with me. Thank you."

Rachel, still cautious, nodded firmly. "We'll be with you every step of the way, but make no mistake, we're still keeping a close eye on you. And if anything seems off, we'll take the Key back, understood?”

Delphina gave a firm nod, her tail swishing softly behind her. "Understood. I have no intention of crossing you. I just need the chance to speak with Venera and explain everything. It's... a personal matter."

Rachel relented. "Alright. But you better keep your word and not pull any tricks. Got it?”

Delphina, a glimmer of relief in her eyes, nodded earnestly. "I give my word. I'll cooperate fully once we reach Venera. No tricks."

The tension in the room eased slightly. Rachel and Zalgo exchanged one final cautious glance before Rachel finally handed over the Key to Delphina. "Here you go. But remember, we're following you every step of the way.”

Delphina delicately took the Key from Rachel, a sense of relief washing over her as she held it. She gave the girls a determined nod.

"I won't let you down. Thank you for understanding. Let's go."

Rachel and Zalgo nodded, preparing themselves as they followed Delphina's lead, their guards still high, but their trust tentatively placed in their new companion.

  …

The three of them arrived at the Emerald Oasis, the night had taken hold, giving the place a dark glow. Delphina, the Key clutched in her hand, led the way towards Venera's office, with Rachel and Zalgo staying close behind.

On the way through the crowded casino floor, they attracted a few curious stares, especially drawn by Delphina's unique appearance. But the four women continued on, undeterred, until they finally reached the area Venera awaited them in.

Delphina took a deep breath, her nervousness palpable as she stepped in with the other girls.

Venera, standing near a large window overlooking the gambling floor, watched the newcomers approach. She eyed each one of them before shifting her gaze to Delphina.

"Delphina," she acknowledged, her voice laced with curiosity. "So, have you finally found what you sought?"

Delphina met the Black Snake mafia leader's gaze head-on. "Yes, I've found it. But... I need to talk to you about something.”

Venera, ever the perceptive leader, arched an eyebrow, sensing the gravity in Delphina's tone.

"Go on," she prompted, gesturing for Delphina to continue. "Speak your piece.”

"I wanted to talk about the Key."

“And what about the Key? I need it.”

“I understand, but... I need it, too."

"Need it for what, exactly? You better have a damn good reason."

Delphina explained her plight to Venera, repeating what she told Alice and the others...

Venera nodded, her arms crossed over her chest. "Is that so... You need it to unlock an enchanted door back in your world?”

"Yes. The door leads to a special place where a key item I need resides. It's crucial for my shark side, for awakening its dormant power."

"...And you're certain this Key is the only way to open the door? No other way exists?”

"Yes, I'm certain. It's the only way. I've tried everything else. The Key... it's the key to unlocking my true potential."

"And this Door... it's located all the way back in your world? I presume it's very far away."

"Well...it's on Ukiuq, the neighboring planet. Since the two planets are at their closest orbits, it won't take me long to get there and back here to Fairylyl using teleportation.”

"Ukiuq, huh? And you can just teleport back and forth between the two planets?"

"Yes. I have the capability to teleport with the amount of aura I have. It won't take me long to go and come back."

"And what guarantees do I have that you'll come back? You'll have the Key. You could easily just...disappear with it.”

"I give you my word. I'm not some thief or villain. I need the Key to fulfill a need, not to cause harm. I'll bring it back as soon as I get what I need."

"And what's in it for me? For handing the Key over, I mean. Nothing's free in this world. Everything has a price.”

"An artifact. On my planet, there is a hidden temple. In that temple, there's a powerful artifact, a gem of immense magical energy. It's called the 'Heart of Ukiuq'. It's said to hold incredible power. Many have tried to claim it, but none have succeeded."

“Go on. What exactly does this...Heart of Ukiuq do?”

"The Heart of Ukiuq is said to grant significant power to its bearer. It boosts your overall magical strength, enhances your abilities, and even unlocks special abilities and powers. It's a highly sought-after artifact in my world."

"And you say you know where this Heart of Ukiuq is located?”

"Yes, I know exactly where the temple is located. It's hidden deep within a cave near the top of a distant mountain, surrounded by treacherous terrain. It's nearly impossible to find without the knowledge."

"And you say this Heart of Ukiuq can give a significant power boost?"

"To the right wielder, absolutely. With the Heart of Ukiuq, you could become even more powerful than you are now.”

"That's a very appealing offer. But I still have one more question. How do I know this isn't a trap? What if you double-cross me? What if the Heart of Ukiuq ends up being a fake, or if it doesn't work?

"I understand your concerns, but I assure you, it's not a trap. The Heart of Ukiuq is real, and it's powerful. You will have no regrets.”

Venera took a moment to consider Delphina's words carefully. She was a woman who didn't take any chances, and this deal presented a risk. But the potential reward was also significant. Finally, after a few tense seconds of silence...

Venera leaned forward, a hint of a smirk playing on her lips. "Alright, then. You have a deal. Promise to bring the Key back to me when you're done using it, and come with the Heart of Ukiuq while you're at it. Go ahead."

Upon hearing Venera's words, Delphina's heart leapt with relief and excitement. "I promise you, I'll return the Key to you after I have used it. And I'll bring back the Heart of Ukiuq as well. You won't be disappointed, I swear."

Venera, satisfied with Delphina's promise, gestured to the Key in her hand. "Then take the Key, and fulfill your need. But remember... I'll be expecting you back with the Heart of Ukiuq and the Key when you're done. Don't fail me."

Venera then turned her attention to Alice, Rachel and Zalgo, her gaze one of admiration. "As for you girls, you have completed your mission. Thank you for risking your lives to get that key for me, your efforts are much appreciated.”

"You're welcome," Rachel replied, bowing respectfully.

Zalgo, still curious, took a small step forward, her eyes fixed on Venera. "May I ask a question before leaving, if possible?"

Venera, still in a good mood from the successful deal, nodded her head slightly. "Of course, go ahead. What's on your mind?”

Zalgo, her curiosity piqued, asked, "I couldn't help but notice how you were eyeing Delphina earlier. May I ask what intrigued you so much about her?"

Venera, a slight smirk on her face, chuckled. "Well, you're very observant, I'll give you that. Delphina is indeed a unique individual. From her shark features to her shark-tail, everything about her is quite interesting...and appealing, if I may say so myself…”

Rachel raised a brow, a hint of suspicion in her voice. "Appealing in what way exactly, Venera?"

Venera, noticing Rachel's slight suspicion, chuckled softly. "In a rather... intimate way, of course. There's something about her shark tail and her overall appearance that...appeals to my senses, let's just say."

Zalgo's eyes widened slightly, a hint of surprise in her expression. Rachel, meanwhile, looked slightly skeptical. "So, you're interested in her...intimately?”

Rachel raised a brow, a hint of suspicion in her voice. "Appealing in what way exactly, Venera?"

Venera, noticing Rachel's slight suspicion, chuckled softly. "In a rather...intimate way, of course. There's something about her shark tail and her overall appearance that...appeals to my senses, let's just say."

Zalgo's eyes widened slightly, a hint of surprise in her expression. Rachel, meanwhile, looked slightly skeptical. "So, you're interested in her...intimately?"

Venera, still maintaining her smirk, nodded slowly. "Let's just say...I find her rather attractive. Her shark tail is...oddly exotic and arousing, to put it bluntly. To answer your question, though...well, it'd depend on if Miranda would want a threesome with her, which, considering her appearance, I'd wager she definitely would.”

The three girls exchanged a brief look, clearly surprised by this information. Rachel was struck by the familiarity of that name, gasping once it hit her. "Wait, you mean Miranda as in the champion of the Coliseum of Valoria?!"

Venera, gave a small nod. "Yes, indeed. That's the very same woman. The Champion of the Coliseum of Valoria, and my partner."

Rachel's expression grew even more stunned. "You're...together with her?"

Venera chuckled softly, a smile on her face. "That's correct. Miranda and I..." she paused, building anticipation for her upcoming revelation. "...are a couple. And she has...a rather open mind on certain matters, if you catch my drift.”

Rachel, her eyes widened in disbelief, seemed to finally catch onto what Venera was implying. "Wait... so you're saying that...you and your partner would both want...with Delphina...that is..."

Venera grinned slightly. "Indeed. She would definitely find Delphina rather appealing, in more ways than one."

At this revelation, both Zalgo and Rachel exchanged shocked and surprised glances, their minds racing from these new revelations.

Then finally, Zalgo broke the silence. "Are you...are you serious...?"

As if on cue to Zalgo's question, Miranda walked into the scene from the next room, the muscular, tall, umber-skinned woman taking a seat next to Venera and draping an arm over Venera's shoulder before kissing her cheek. Miranda then looked over to the three girls, who were shocked to see the Coliseum's champion in the flesh.

Miranda, noticing the shocked and surprised expressions on their faces, chuckled softly, her voice a soft and sultry-like sound. "I take it you weren't aware of our relationship status?"

Rachel, still a bit stunned, managed to nod slowly. "We....were not, no. We had absolutely no clue..."

Miranda chuckled again, her arm still around Venera. "Oh, then I bet you're in for a surprise when I say..."

Venera chuckled again, as if holding back excitement. "Go on, my champion, tell them the rest.”

Miranda continued with a slight smirk on her face. "What my lovely girlfriend here is trying to get at, is that...well...we have a proposition for you three. But first...let me ask you girls this, and answer honestly."

Rachel, her mind still reeling from the revelation earlier, managed to find her voice. "O-okay...go on, ask your question…”

A smirk spread across Miranda's face as she began to speak, the girls waiting eagerly for what the champion had to say next. "Tell me... do you three consider yourselves...open-minded?"

Zalgo, the most curious of the three girls, nodded silently. Rachel managed a small nod as well, though her voice was a bit shaky when she answered, "Y-yes...very open-minded, in fact…”

Miranda's smirk widened at the response, her eyes sparkling with a mix of amusement and intrigue. "Open-minded, huh? Well, then..." she paused, studying the girls for a moment before letting out a soft chuckle. "Here's our proposal then..."

Zalgo and Rachel exchanged curious and questioning glances, both of them wondering what the champion was about to propose. They remained silent, silently signaling the champion to continue…
