Sending my two new minions, who are only very slight creatures of nightmares, off to begin harvesting and bringing ore back, I have to begin making a creature and location to process them. My dreams of a foundry have to be put to the way side since I have to make actual metal implements before I can make a foundry. Besides I feel like a creature who is more an artisan would do wonders where a foundry couldn’t. I am already getting that vibe with the carvings I have been working on anyway so it would be wonderfully interesting to see what a blacksmith could do.
Though that came with it’s own problems thinking on it, there where many aspects of a smithy I could make right now, but the main thing I lacked was a source of fire. Throughout my elemental’s searches I hadn’t seen a single lump of coal, and I didn’t have any special mana doohickey to just make fire. No crystal that burns endlessly, no source of infinite gas, and no coal that smolders without being used up. Hmmmm, maybe I could ask that dragon about it next time it comes around, I would have to convince it that it would be in her best interest for “Tribute” but that’s how things go. If I couldn’t bargain on equal terms I would have to tempt and try and trick till I can work on equal ground.
My blessing feels, I think off is the best word for the feeling that it gave me, about wanting to trick around deals. I focused on it for a bit and eventually I was able to make it more a gentle awareness instead of a small stab in my head, and I gave it some ideas of how the deal would be more equal if I was given the chance. With that put to the side I began forming the forge next to the storage/treasure room, since that is probably where most of the materials are going to go. For now it’s just the basic outlines of pieces, or what I can half remember it is supposed to look like. It isn’t much for now but I have a feeling once I get some actual proper smith here it can at the least begin improvement.
It takes a good chunk of time to get everything set and ready in the forge for the inevitable occupent. Honestly it turns out to be a lot of busy work to just get it put together and ready, but that’s a lot of life for me right now. Busywork to the bone this whole place is turning into it seems, hard to mind it though when it’s all you can do. I do wish I had somone to have a conversation with though, starting to get a little lost in my head right now.
“Dungeon”
Speak of the devil, people who seemed to have escaped my notice. Bringing my view up to who spoke it appears that Ava has come by to either say hi or share news, considering she is all by her loansome. A part of me wants to attack her while she is alone, but it’s easy to ignore as I poke my elemental to come up.

“There are certain,” she pauses as if looking for the right word for what she wants to say. “Occurrences that must be discussed when it came to the last group who ventured into you.”
She begins mumbling as the elemental forms up in front of her, I asked him to take the express way since he was so deep. She does seem a little on edge as he forms though, I am not surprised considering he is technically supposed to try and kill her. However I am just here for a conversation and I don’t particularly feel the need to try and kill her so she shouldn’t have to worry too much.
Too much.
“Do you repreasent the dungeon’s interests in this conversation?” she asked, eyeing my elemental with suspicion but also surprise. He nods in response and I can see a few bits and pieces of his body shifting as he tries to move the energy in a certain way. I can see it coming from that almost heart like bead in his “chest” and I wonder what he is trying to do.
“Are you trying to speak?” Ava seems just as confused but the mage seems to be more of a mind of what the energy in my elemental is doing. “I….don’t know if that is possible for a dungeon born.” She adds on, looking down as if slightly ashamed at ruining my dream, it isn’t mine but I can understand her want to not be rude.
“That aside” she shakes herself off and gets back on tact. “I am here representing the guild in regards to the recent adventurers who fought in you dungeon.” She still seems to be getting used to this whole thing. I have the elemental nod at that though as I understand the reason for her visit.
“did they reach you’re boss?”
The elemental nods.
“Did they fight you’re boss?”
The elemental shrugs. I personally wouldn’t call what they did a fight.
“Did one of them die during the fight?” I can almost here trepidation seeping into her voice as she speaks. I can see where this is going.
The elemental give a very stiff nod, since well, I am not proud of the whole killing part.
Ava takes a deep breath, “and….did you resurrect them, without taking them in as a dungeon monster?”
The question hangs in the air, before the elemental nods.
There is silence for a second
then a minute
before finally
“By the gods they weren’t lying” she whispers to herself.
