Nier reclined against the headboard of his bed, his chest rising and falling with a contented sigh. Kaly nestled against his right side, her arms draped possessively around him, her warmth seeping into his skin.
On his left, Alle stirred gently, still lost in the haze of post-ecstasy slumber, her soft breaths a quiet rhythm in the dim room.
"That was... mmm, divine."
Kaly commented, her voice a soft melody as she pressed herself closer, nuzzling into Nier's chest.
"Absolutely mind-blowing sex, wouldn't you say?"
Nier chuckled, at her comment as he responded back.
"Oh, it was something, alright. How about you, little minx?"
He teased, gncing at Alle.
"Did you enjoy yourself?"
Alle's eyes fluttered open, gssy and dazed, a dreamy smile curving her lips.
"Alle's head is all... fuzzy. So nice. Father's so warm. So, so warm."
She murmured, her voice tinged with a childlike wonder.
Nier's brow furrowed slightly, his gaze softening as he studied her, while patting her head as she purred like a cat at his slightest touch.
"Strange."
He mused.
"Ever since I turned her, it's like she has regressed into this...kinda innocent, almost childlike state. I don't know what she was like before, but now she has got this cute, immature and kind of scary aura to her."
Kaly tilted her head, her crimson eyes glinting with knowing amusement.
"Her mind is probably tangled up with the voices from the corruption. It is a lot to process for normal humans. She will adjust in time, darling."
Her lips curved into a sly smile.
"But speaking of things to process... you owe me something, you know."
Nier arched an eyebrow, intrigued.
"Oh? And what might that be?"
Kaly's smile widened, a spark of mischief in her gaze.
"Before you passed out a couple days ago and wake up st night, I asked you to take me somewhere."
Nier's expression shifted, curiosity piqued.
"Oh, yeah? I forgot about that, where to?"
"The Hero Association."
Kaly said, her tone light but deliberate.
Nier froze, his eyes narrowing.
"...The Hero Association?"
"Yes!"
She replied, unfazed.
"Babe, you do realize I almost got caught st night, right? By that psycho bitch Lady Blue?"
His voice carried a mix of exasperation and disbelief.
Kaly smirked, undeterred.
"Yes, I am aware. And excellent work slipping through her fingers, by the way. Very impressive. She is not as dangerous as that Snake dude but extremely dangerous for a Flux."
Nier let out a dry ugh.
"Thanks, but seriously...why the Hero Association, of all pces?"
Kaly propped herself up on one elbow, her gaze sharpening with purpose.
"Calm down, love. I am talking about the Hero Association in this sector, not Sector-4. We are safe here in Sector-7 three cities away from her home Sector, and we are all the way in this private Suburban in Emily Hills, so she won't come here just because."
Nier exhaled, tension easing slightly.
"Alright, fine. But why there? What is your goal here, why does an outer god want's to take her apostle at the Hero Association of all pces?"
Kaly’s eyes gleamed with ambition, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.
"It has been just over a week since we began rebuilding my cult. And I must say, securing Tanya as our priestess and Imani as my first bishop? Brilliant moves. And now, with your Darkborne in our ranks, hehe...we're off to a spectacur start. But to truly rise, we need a fanbase."
Nier blinked, caught off guard.
"A fanbase?"
"Exactly."
Kaly said, her voice brimming with confidence.
"Look at Mercy Jones, the 18th-ranked Hero. A Level 4 Hesta, devout Catholic, tied to the church. His fans flock to the Catholic cause. All because of him, boosting their influence. We can do the same, draw the public's attention, build a following, and channel their faith into Waking."
Nier leaned back, processing her words.
"A more direct approach, huh? But, not to sound crude, you do know your cult is... well, basically a sex cult, right?"
Kaly's ugh was rich and unapologetic.
"Oh, I am well aware, darling. And I know revealing myself to the public will paint a target on my back, and my little sister will notice, and fast. But we can py it smart, like my older sister did. She posed as a goddess to gather faith, boosting her Waking without ever exposing her true self. A convenient little lie, wouldn't you say?"
Nier's curiosity deepened.
"Really? What goddess did she pose as? And who is this older sister, anyway?"
Kaly’s smile turned wistful, a rare glimpse of nostalgia softening her features.
"The one who has been helping me unbreak my seal, the second-born of the ten us... Titled The Dream... we call her Maglonia. Back in the day, she infiltrated the Greek Pantheon as Nyx, the Goddess of Night. Oh, the gods feared her, and her followers were legion, especially with her heroes spreading her name across the world. What I am proposing is no different."
Nier's eyes lit up with understanding.
"So that is your game. Turn me into a hero, a public figure, to draw faith to your cause."
"Exactly."
Kaly said, her voice dripping with conviction.
"And you don't even need to be a Hesta. You can register as a Corrupt."
Nier leaned back, his mind racing. She had a point. Corrupt users were different from Hestas, drawing power from Flux items rather than innate abilities, which made their capabilities wildly diverse.
He rubbed his chin, considering the idea.
"You're right. Corrupt users are harder to pin down. There are Specialists, who excel in specific tasks thanks to their items. Then Extremists, who are versatile, skilled in combat, rescue, you name it. And finally, the rarest and most dangerous... Collectors. Those with vast arrays of Flux items, usually the ultra-rich or those deeply entrenched in the supernatural world. I could pass as a Collector, no question. It would expin my... unique abilities without raising too many eyebrows."
Kaly nodded, her grin predatory.
"Exactly. Your Unlimited power is too wild to hide completely, you can craft any Occult Magic through imagination, fueled by Negativity like mana in a game. But you're burning through Negativity too fast. We need a more efficient way to harvest it too, also anyone would join a group if they knew said group casually give occult item away, I could make some normal items like it is nothing as well."
Nier’s gaze turned inward, his thoughts swirling with possibilities.
Becoming a hero, a public figure, could amplify their influence, draw followers, and fuel Kaly's cult with the faith she needed to grow stronger.
But it was a dangerous path, one that could expose them to enemies far greater than Lady Blue. Still, the thrill of the challenge stirred something in him, a spark of ambition that matched Kaly's own.
"Maniputing the public, well humans are idiots if they know they can benefit regardless of how suspicious thing could actually be."
"That is true."
Kaly answered back.
"Alright."
He said at st, a slow, determined smile spreading across his face.
"Let's do it. Let's make me a hero."
"And you know."
Kaly stepped in, smiling deviously as she said.
"We have someone who could give us a good recommendation too."
"You mean Bel don't you!?"
Nier asked.
"Hehehe of course, so it about time you properly get to know her, also hold my hand, I will now transfer the memories she has of you from the illusion, alongside the different people as well."
