The morning sun rose, shining through window to annoy Hiroshi's slumber. Taking a look around, he realized he had fallen asleep on the sofa, but seems Nata had already disappeared off of him, leaving behind last night's emotional outburst's mess on his shirt.
On the way to get a clean shirt, he noticed a certain cloud with a swaying tail in the kitchen, seeming to be hard at work by the counter.
"Morning." he said, checking on Nata. Having had her guard down and not heard him approach, she gave a light yelp in surprise.
Turning around, she revealed she was amidst eating a sandwich made from anything she found or was able to reach in the fridge. Her ears and tail flopped down as she was ready to get scolded for having technically been caught stealing food.
Hiroshi reached out his hand, she was too scared to keep her eyes open, as she was ready for any kind of punishment.
Hand landing on her head, before starting to pat gently. In confusion, she opened her eyes and looked back at Hiroshi, having a cheerful smile as he asked "Did you sleep well?"
It left Nata trying to process what is going on, as she was only able to give a nod in as a response. Before he let her be, "I will go change my shirt, so can you make me breakfast as well?" he asked. he didn't want to force it on her, but he knew she needed some outlet to show her emotions.
Without hesitation, she nodded and with determined look and tail wagging hard, "I will make best sandwich you have ever had, Hiro!" Almost like preparing for a quest, she happily left her sandwich be as she went on adventure to make another one.
Hiroshi couldn't help but chuckle at her energetic enthusiasm, but he still had her outburst from previous night gnawing at his mind as he went to change his shirt.
Upon returning, he got to see delighted Nata having finished making another sandwich, happily offering it to him. He took it with plenty of pats given in return, and thanks to previous nights inspection, it was hard not to notice the matting this time around.
Seeing they most likely have plenty to do after they finish their breakfast, Hiroshi started to fill out a list on day's activity.
First would be some proper clothing and shoe wear for Nata, after that get some shampoo and brushes to deal with her matting, and lastly would be groceries unless they want to starve or go eat out every day.
"So, what food do you exactly like?" Hiroshi thought to ask of Nata. After all, he is preparing to take care of her.
"Oh, all kinds of meats!" she answered, while starting to salivate by imagining what they would be getting, which felt very awkward for him. He was hoping for something more than just that, but he can't beat what works. With list prepared, he tucked it into his pocket.
Finishing their sandwiches and seeing she was starting to pace on the spot from excitement, he prepared for them to head out, taking couple bags and making sure he had everything he needed.
Before taking steps out, he made sure she had decent shoes to at least to borrow as they go out to the streets.
The walk would take a while, so Hiroshi took time to take in the fresh air and enjoy the couple free days he has before starting his work, while Nata with pent up excitement and curiosity checked her surroundings.
After some short time of walking and coming to outskirts of suburb and urban divide of the city, she could spot an worksite by what looked like a station.
"What is happening there?" as she was about to go check it out, she got stopped with light pull on the shirt collar from Hiroshi, keeping her close by him unless they want to do second round against a truck.
"They have been working on the local train station. It has been about 5 years since they started thanks to the city having gotten big enough to fund the project, and should be finished in month or two if reports are right." he noted, answering her question and making her realize she didn't need to go inspect everything by herself with him by her side.
With a light giggle of joy, she happily returned to him and cuddled up to his arm. He got lightly surprised by it, but didn't stop her as they continued their walk.
Taking a calm walk across town, and with much more clear curiosity around him, he was surprised by how many monsters were around than he originally didn't end up noticing.
Honestly, being with her seems to relax him way more than usual, which he was partly happy, but also worrying about, since he hasn't spent more than a day with someone before, so who knows how his misfortune strikes.
Before they knew it, they arrived at a clothes store, going by the name of "Pukumies".
Taking in the sights of fresh smell, and multiple colorful and stylish choices, it relieved him when she seemed to enjoy his style in clothes, as she went with similar t-shirts and shorts that were specifically designed to account tails and made the clothes easy time picking.
Secondly was some shoes that were in a nearby store, and it was obvious for him that running shoes would fit her the best, and in no time, that was also done.
However, his nightmare shortly struck him, as she was leading to his most risky situation he could barely have imagined couple days ago to end up in. Lingerie store, which she was very enthusiastic to go to, as if she didn't realize what she was asking him for.

He knew if he called in Edith, it would only make things even more embarrassing, and he had no one else to help in the situation. He swallowed the bitter pill and followed her inside.
The atmosphere was much more eloquent than he first imagined, but he couldn't help the unease as Nata went running off looking all of the different sizes and styles, leaving him awkwardly confronting the clerk at the cash register.
"Hey, mind if we get an employee to help us pick some underwear for her." as he points towards the cloud raider, exploring the forbidden sanctuary of the laundry aisles.
"Absolutely. Just give a minute and someone will be with your shortly." she said calmly, as she spoke to her earpiece asking if anyone was available, before shortly giving a nod to just wait.
It didn't take long, until he saw a husky demi coming from behind, happily greeting.
He knew this was gonna be chaos.
pointing the husky to the Samoyed, almost like magnetic polar opposites, they rushed to each other and got quickly chatting like best friends with tails and ears wagging and wiggling with joy.
"So, what are you looking for exactly?" Husky asked with excitement, as the Samoyed returned with same enthusiasm "Anything goes, but also..." as she went in to whisper, and he knew the two were planning something, just by spotting Husky's excitement only getting higher.
Before Hiroshi could get out of the target zone of being put on the spot, his hand was caught by Nata, as she happily dragged him to the dressing rooms, as the Husky with full of energy went to explore all kind of lingerie. "What do you need me for?" he groaned in disapproval, but he also didn't want to disappoint her.
"Come on, Hiro. You were happy shopping clothes and shoes for me." she said, almost like she had no clue on how many layers of wrong he could state, but he was just left speechless on her accidental boldness.
with begrudging, he was left to sit on a bench, as he got to see what kind of diabolical stuff Husky was bringing in. He knew he had to do something, so he was quick to intersect her. "Hey, something normal." he spoke up and before she could ask why, Hiroshi played his trump card to save his life.
He whispered to her "She's under aged, so please get something normal. For everyone's sake," which quickly turned the Husky from excitement to fully flustered with shame as her ears and tail flop down. With a red face, she apologized for trouble making, before going off and shortly returning with more modest lingerie.
Even with it, as Nata was more than happy to show it off, he kept glances quick and short as he couldn't help getting flustered by her sight either. He made sure to make decisions fast and clear, but seems it got her in lightly mad mood, as before they even knew it, they finished with shopping for clothes.
Finally breathing relieve, Hiroshi took a break on a nearby bench, as Nata was carrying the borrowed clothes and new clothes she bought in a bag. Before he could fully relax, he got a glare coming from the pissed off cloud. "You didn't even care." she noted, as it seems she was hoping to get stuff he liked on her, and overall felt betrayed.
He could only give a sigh at her comment, and with exhausted look said "Listen, I tried to care, but you are way too forward on this stuff." he clarified, as she took a pause before her dog-like personality vanished as she realized the situation they were in, flustering her enough to make steam come out of her ears.
"I-I-I am sorry, I just... you see..." she tried to explain, but words were not found on her, as recollection of the awkward situation started to get mixed in with her past memories, which actively caused her start to lose control.
He quickly took note as Nata was starting to become distressed and going into panic. With a swift move, pulling her to his side with one hand, he held her hand while other went to pat her head.
"It's okay, no need to worry. Take slow breaths and focus." he started to comfort her. It was starting to become clear to him what case he was dealing with Nata's emotional outbursts.
She slowly calmed her breathing while taking tight grip on Hiroshi's hand, and with final exhale that seemed to get her emotion into controls, shutting her eyes to remove any external stimulus. After couple minutes of controlling breathing and getting her thoughts together, she turned back into the cheerful dog she presented herself as.
With couple minutes taken to relax after such ordeal, she acted like nothing just happened.
Knowing digging deeper now would be troublesome, especially in the public, he let it be.
Taking the trip to get groceries and stuff to deal with her hair went more calm this time around.
She happily explored and sniffed out all kind of new things she hasn't looked at before, while Hiroshi made sure she didn't take anything unnecessary, but he still got surprised by how fast they had a full shopping cart.
With light cringe seeing at costs, but knowing it was going to last them easily a week, eased his feelings.
Bagging the stuff up, giving Nata one bag to carry alongside the clothes they got, while he got two whole bags to walk with.
Thankfully the grocery bag slowed Nata down, giving him good time to contemplate on the day, and honestly to his surprise, it has gone pretty well.
This having been most fun he has had on what is essentially a date, Nata's cheerful personality easily rubbing on him with feeling like he could let his guard down, and to think there hasn't been any overtly bad inci- *THUNK*
With a hard smack was heard, Cheerful Hiroshi was surprise struck to side of his head with a unopened can, making him fall onto the ground with great amount of pain as he was barely able to catch the groceries from going all over the floor.
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?" shouted Nata, rushing to his aid as she was trying to quickly determine the damage and see who was at the fault.
thankfully the damage wasn't anything insane from the blunt force trauma, but the greater damage was dealt to his spirit as it seems the curse couldn't give him even a second of unguarded time. Shortly couple kids came running to them with apologetic tone, "Our bad, sir." as both of them helped Hiroshi back onto his feet.
They quickly explained that it was an accident when one kid tried to throw a can to another, but one slip up, and it came flying at him. Before he could say anything as he was rubbing the impact site on his head, Nata's ears perked up, with tail raised as high as it can go, as there was clear rage brewing in her as growl was forming in her throat.
"How dare you hurt Hiro!" shouted Nata with anger, taking kids aback as they tried to keep apologizing. He placed his hand on top of Nata head to ease her, while he took control of the situation. "It's fine. Accidents happen. Just promise me not to keep throwing cans around, OK?" he said, giving a smile through the pain. "Thank you sir, we promise not to." the kids spoke out loud before running away to avoid Nata's wrath.
Her fury slightly subsided as she gave worried look towards him and before she said anything, he spoke up.
"Just let it be." he said to calm her further. She was left speechless, but knowing better than to question his reasoning, she listened.
With injured Hiroshi in tow, Nata kept guard on him even if he didn't want it for rest of the way home.
Once arriving, he happily set up the stuff in places, as he went on to offer dinner, which she excitedly took.
And repeating on yesterday's events, after the meal they headed to bathroom, and this time Nata was slightly more self-conscious and Hiroshi more geared up as he went on work for hours on end to get matting off of her.
Thankfully there was some new brand of soaps to help with these kinda problems.
As he labored hard, only taking short pause when he took note of a strange mark on her neck which was hidden behind her hair and some of the matting.
It was just a letter of an 'e', and couple of touches to make sure it wasn't a stain, an tattoo no less.
he didn't contemplate on it too much, before returning onto the hard labor.
As sun was about to set, Hiroshi came out of the bathroom absolutely exhausted, while Nata was blissfully happy that matting was now gone, looking way more cloudier and fluffier than ever before.
Taking the free time to go check on TV for shows, Hiroshi decided to search online about the strange tattoo he saw on her, only to come up empty-handed.
Deciding to let it be for now, as no doubts if he kept digging into it, especially asking Nata about it, she would have another panic attack.
So with calm evening letting both decompress and let their bodies heal from the laborious day, before he left her to sleep on the sofa for time being due to not having other bed.
Putting a blanket over her, and comfortable enough pillow, he went to bed for proper sleep.
Thankfully Sunday was going to be full day for relaxing.
