Chapter 10
A buzz of excitement filled the air as a crowd began to cheerfully gather around Othalla’s Stargate. Amos Fyree, the hero who had rescued Hala and bravely confronted the knowledge of the Ancients, strode confidently toward the Stargate with the Asgard High Council right behind him. “What’s happening now?” someone whispered in Asgardian. “Has he made another groundbreaking discovery?” another voice chimed in, full of anticipation. The news swept through Othalla like wildfire—Amos Fyree was up to something!
“I trust you’re all familiar with dialing eight chevron addresses?” Amos asked, a grin spreading across his face. “Absolutely! Dialing eight chevrons is a breeze for us—it’s how we reached Earth before!” replied a councilor, matching his enthusiasm.
Amos gazed up at the gleaming gate, nodded, and energetically declared, “Awesome! I’m going to need my laptop and your latest anti-replicator satellite.” In just a few moments, the Asgard retrieved his backpack, which held Dr. Jackson’s trusty laptop and the advanced satellite.
With a spark of determination, Amos opened the sleek black laptop and quickly brought up a list of old gate addresses. “Ah, here we go—Asuras. Now if I can just translate the Pegasus symbols into their corresponding Milkyway symbols, I might be able to get a connection!’ he exclaimed, barely able to contain his excitement. He confidently stepped over to the DHD, ready to dial, as the crowd looked on with bated breath!

Kaswoosh!
Amos reached back toward the anti-replicator satellite, activated it, and gingerly placed it in the gate. Checking his watch he hesitated for a moment, then turned to the Asgard team, saying, “I know this is a bit strange, but does anyone have any ideas on how we can figure out what’s happening on the other side?” His request hung in the air, an invitation to unravel the mystery ahead.
Within moments, a dedicated science team accompanied by an Asgard probe arrived at the gate, ready to assist. After receiving the all-clear signal, Amos Fyree, armed with his Anti-Replicator gun, led the way through the shimmering gate alongside the Asgard Exploratory and Science Guilds, stepping boldly into Asuras.
As they entered Asuras, they were greeted by breathtaking splendor. The city that stretched before them eclipsed anything Amos had ever encountered on Othalla. Even the Asgard were taken aback, their eyes wide with wonder at the stunning Lantean architecture and luxurious design that surrounded them. Their awe, however, quickly shifted as the chilling crunch of replicator dust beneath their feet interrupted the moment.
“Holy shit!” Amos exclaimed, his voice a mix of excitement and alarm. “Everyone watch your step; there’s replicator debris everywhere,” cautioned a member of the Asgard Exploratory Guild.
As the group ventured further into Asuras, the sight of fallen replicators scattered throughout the grandeur of the city revealed the magnanimity of what they had just accomplished. Replicators, machines, had once filled these majestic halls. Amos, as well as his Asgard companions, filled both curiosity and a sense of urgency in their exploration.
Eventually, the Asgard were able to make another connection to Othalla and more of their people came through. Amos and the others searched the city for any valuable technology, while the rest of the research teams began exploring the city.
