Chapter 65

  Chapter 65

"Damage report," barked Amos at the conclusion of the colossal battle.

The Goa'uld had sent an armada of ships to claim Adara II, and the Lantean Commonwealth had sent an armada of ships to defend it. After a long skirmish, Adara II had been saved all thanks to Amos Fyree and his new Commonwealth Fleet.

"We've received substantial damage, my love, but my repair nanites are busily working to repair the ship,"said Reva as she scurried over the ship's damage report.

  "Did we lose anyone?"asked Amos.

"No, not at all."said Michael Jackson. "Other than a few Aerofighters, all hands are on deck."

"Excellent,"said Amos, proud of his astonishing victory. "Egeria, I want you to go down to the Infirmary and help Freya remove that thing from Professor Gardner's head."

"Right away, Ampu. Heading there now,"said Egeria as she got up to leave the bridge.

On the shattered and broken bridge of the Biliskinir, Thor lay on the ground barely lifeless, his ship utterly decimated during the attack. Suddenly, beams of azure light appeared on his ship bringing with him Freyr and a team of Command Elves and Sabines.

"Begin repairs on the ship, immediately" ordered Freyr, with authority in every breath.

As the Elves started repairs on the Biliskinir, Freyr began walking throughout the bridge of the crippled ship.

"Supreme Commander!"yelled Freyr as he noticed Thor lying on the ground nearly unconscious.

Freyr ran over to Thor's side noticing the stains of green Asgard blood smothered all over the Biliskinir's floor.

Suddenly, Amos arrived on the Biliskinir choosing to use Godspeed instead of regular Asgard beams.

"Amos Fyree, I had not noticed your arrival. Come quick, Thor is badly injured."

Godspeed. The new beaming technology that Amos invented did not come with the dazzling blue light that usually accompanies Asgard beaming technology. No, Godspeed teleports a person or object, in and out, without any illuminating residue leaving a trail.

"Sorry, Freyr, I used Godspeed. I have the new system tied to my nanites neural interface. All I did was think about the Biliskinir and I arrived. Now tell me, how bad is Thor, do you think we can save him?"

Freyr assessed the condition of his badly wounded superior and shook his head in grief. "The Supreme Commander has suffered greatly and his body is badly damaged. We will need to get him back to O'thalla immediately so that he can obtain a new body.

From the corner of his eye, Amos noticed an Elven Sabine, who looked just like Carla from Scrubs, walking to Freyr bringing with her an Asgard Medical pod meant to preserve Thor's condition.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"Thank you Carla. Now please place Thor inside and program it to continuously monitor his condition,"instructed the fraught Asgard.

As Freyr was speaking, another beam of light appeared on the Billiskinir's bridge.

"Hail, Freyr!" said yet another Asgard, Amos and the Commonwealth were previously unaware of.

"Heimdall! Hail Fraendi! I had heard rumors that you were on Adara II but was not certain. It is a pleasure to see you again old friend,"said Freyr as he met his kinsmen.

"Likewise, Commander Freyr. I was monitoring the battle on the surface and thought it prudent to come aboard the Biliskinir to assess the condition of Thor."

Heimdall stopped for a moment as he noticed the bridge and outer halls of the Biliskinir teaming with beautiful women clad in tiny colorful dresses.

"Humans? Here? Freyr, what are humans doing on an Asgard vessel,"wondered Heimdall, perplexed by their presence.

Freyr walked closer to his comrade and said, "These are not mere humans, Heimdall they are of the Elves. Biosynthetic lifeforms created out of the ashes of our great foe, the Replicators. I have here standing with me now, their creator and King, Amos Fyree."

Heimdall looked up at the tall black man in Star Fleet attire donning a scruffy beard and wooly hair.

"Wait… you're Amos Fyree? I can't believe it. Did you really save Hala? I've heard stories,"spoke Heimdall, his demeanor like a little girl attending her first One Direction Concert.

Amos blushed, he knew he was popular in Ida, but not that popular. Tales of his exploits throughout the galaxy have hit even the most remote of Asgard worlds, even Adara II. Still, Amos carried with him a humility that wasn't becoming of a man of his caliber.

"Hello, Heimdall, yes I am Amos Fyree, nice to meet you,"said Amos, his face struggling to hold back a grin.

Soon Sha're and Michael appeared on the Biliskinir, followed by Reva, Karlan, and Warrick. Finally, to everyone's shock, Egeria and Freya arrived on the beleaguered ship with none other than Dr. Sarah Gardner in tow.

"Ampu, Freya and I successfully removed Osiris from Professor Gardner using Asgard beaming technology. Now she is back on her feet,"said Egeria, both her and Freya holding Sarah's arms as they walked on Thor's ship.

Professor Gardner was still wearing the same seductive outfit she wore while host to Osiris. The more Amos looked at her, the more he realized why Dr. Jackson had feelings for her too.

"Ahem, Professor Gardner. Greetings. My name is Amos Fyree, you may not realize this but I am one of your students — from the future."

A confused look came across Dr. Gardner's face as her mind tried to comprehend the implications of Amos's words.

"About a year ago, you were taken captive by an alien parasite known as a Goa'uld. That entity then abducted you from our homeworld of Earth and used your body to reign terror on the galaxy,"explained Amos. "My team defeated the alien entity inside of you and freed you from being the Goa'uld's host."

Professor Gardner began to mumble words softly as if she was trying to speak. "Please call me – Sarah. I remember — vaguely — what happened. I was — in the — library looking for an artifact, and then," she paused briefly to collect her thoughts, "Daniel."

Sha're moved from beside Michael Jackson with urgency and quickly walked over to where Sarah was standing.

"Daniel. You know my Danyel?"said Sha're a look of seriousness on her face.

In all the excitement, Amos had forgotten to tell Sha're that Dr. Jackson was sleeping with her too. How was he going to break the ice and keep peace between Professor Gardner and Dr. Jackson's wife.

Then, all of a sudden, Thor's medical pod began to ring. "Saved by the bell," Amos thought. "Hmm, now that I'm thinking about it, Lisa would make a good elf, but then again so would Jessie and Kelly too."

Heimdall and Freyr, still standing near Thor's medical pod, both shook their heads in terror as Thor's medical pod began flashing red.

"Thor's lifesigns are flashing critical, if he doesn't transfer his consciousness into a new cloned body he could soon die,"said Heimdall as he analyzed the pod's data.

"Wait just a minute," said Karlan. "The Asgard are clones?"

"Why yes, yes we are,"said Heimdall.

He continued, "As a matter of fact that is the reason why I was here on Adara II in the first place. You see, my people are copies; copies of copies of copies. Several million years ago, we abandoned meiotic forms of reproduction for a form of mitosis which granted longer lifespans and greater intelligence. Unfortunately, our species was met with an unseen externality that threatens to make us all extinct."

"You ran out of ink,"said Amos.

"If by running out of ink, you mean our cells' regenerative properties began to diminish then yes, yes we did,"reaffirmed Heimdall.

"So in other words, if Thor doesn't get a new cloned body ASAP he could die?" stated Warrick, his curiosity piqued.

  "Precisely,"said Freyr, confirming Heimdall's explanation.

Freya, letting go of Professor Gardner, stepped forward amongst their discussion and said:

"Pardon me. I believe I may have a solution."
