Chapter 44
{ Offering Loyalty }
The Triple Lotus Flower, also known as the Passage of Life.
Each island possesses one or more such flowers, depending on the island’s age in the World of Death, the size of its population, the strength of its lord, and many other factors. The flower blooms once every year and cannot be harvested or used except by a living being.
As for its benefit, it is simple—it revives one of the dead back to life and allows them to leave the World of Death.
Not “leaving” in a literal sense, but rather returning them to life. That is why the dead do not think of obtaining it unless there is a gate to leave the World of Death. Otherwise, even if they remained here as living beings, they would turn into food for all the existences in the World of Death.
And if they died again within the World of Death, they would not be reborn—instead, they would become abominations or ghosts… existences neither alive nor dead, rejected by all worlds, enemies by nature to all existences, even to grass itself.
Naturally, this filled Ian’s heart with joy the moment he learned of it.
Especially with the presence of a lord in this place.
What if he could lay his hands on him?
But Ian decided to give up on taking the lord and instead obtain this woman.
Why? Because the lord was far too strong. So strong that the current Ian could not withstand him.
Thus, he and Yassin set their sights on this woman as they watched her battle against Chris.
Strong.
Intelligent.
With a mysterious background… which meant her talent would not be ordinary.
Ian wanted capable people beneath his wings.
He had already seen the difference in power of someone at the Second Level—so imagine having dozens of them under his command. Would numbers even matter then? Imagine having hundreds.
Thousands.
Millions… of Second Level cultivators… or even Third Level.
Who could stop him then?!
Because of this, Ian understood that numbers did not matter—especially as ranks rose. What truly mattered was the power of the higher levels.
The closest example of this was what Yassin had just done—defeating ten Second Level monsters and a hundred at the First Level.
Of course, Yassin was exceptionally special even among the Second Level, and not everyone possessed his strength… but still—just imagine……An entire army of Yassins.
Who could stop Ian then?!
Ian had been accumulating Death Accumulation for some time, before releasing it in a single attack combined with Hell Grasp.
The wall shattered, but the leader hastily retreated.
“Your power has increased greatly, from what I see,” she said coldly.

“And you haven’t,” Ian mocked.
“Still weak,” she said.
“Of course. But… what about everyone here?” Ian mocked.
The woman frowned. “I won’t submit to you.”
“That’s not a decision you get to make,” Ian sneered, waving his fist.
Death Accumulation (26).
His punch shot out—stronger and greater than before—while with his other hand he struck with Hell Grasp.
Two skills at the same time… and at a very high grade, the leader thought as she barely managed to evade.
She unleashed bolts of lightning, but Ian dodged them with ease. Not all of them—one strike hit him, but his armor blocked it.
“Magic Missile!” Liu fired.
“Sword Flash!”
“Night Arrow!”
“Wind Cut!” Bali called out.
Suddenly, dozens of attacks rained down on the leader.
“Lightning Blink!” The woman turned into a flash and barely evaded to the side, but—
“Where do you think you’re going?” Ian appeared in front of her.
Death Accumulation (27).
The timing was perfect, the power of the attack high and concentrated—and she was momentarily weakened after canceling her skills.
The leader was shocked… Before she could react, Ian’s strike sent her flying straight toward the tiger’s jaws.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!
The tiger unleashed the most powerful roar it had.
The leader couldn’t react.
She was still suspended in the air, but the roar froze her in place and tore through her body.
From beneath her armor, her body was violently ripped apart—tendons and flesh were exposed… even bone.
The White Tiger was furious to a terrifying degree.
Its friend had been injured, and its lord was enraged—just imagine the fury of such a creature.
A howl—
The fifteen wolves howled and pounced on her as she fell to the ground.
“Enough,” Ian said.
The wolves and the tiger retreated, but they still surrounded her—any movement and they would tear her apart.
“Now… do you acknowledge my dominance?” Ian said coldly.
“I won’t… I won’t submit.”
She spat.
Before she could finish her sentence, Ian placed his foot on her abdomen.
“This is your last chance… life… or death.”
“The daughter of the Lord of the Pure Sun City would not be foolish enough to refuse,” Yassin said calmly.
“You… you know?” the woman said in shock.
“Submit… and you will see a new light,” Yassin said.
The woman’s expression hardened.. She grasped the dirt beneath her and stared at Ian. “I will tear you apart one day.”
Ian removed his foot from her and looked at her indifferently.
“When you have the power to do so, I won’t object.”
“Asia offers her respect to the lord,” the leader said, kneeling on one knee.
“Stand,” Ian said, handing her the flower.
Asia received it from him.
Now that a living person has grasped the flower, she could obtain it easily. She received it, and at that very moment the Triple Lotus Flower shone with a blinding white light that completely enveloped Asia.
Then the light faded, and Asia appeared once more.
No injuries.
No blood.
No danger.
Her very existence had completely changed.

“There’s something you have that belongs to me,” Asia said.
Ian was surprised for a moment before taking out her Profession Change Stone, which he had not yet used.
“What do you want it for?”
“I’ll use it to upgrade my profession,” she said calmly.
Ian handed it to her. She took it and crushed it between her hands.
Strands of light entered her body, causing her to breathe slowly and close her eyes for a few seconds.
“Thank you.”
Ian nodded calmly. “Let’s leave…”
Although time flowed differently—ten hours here equaled one hour outside—Ian wanted to check on his village. More importantly, this was a place exclusive to him, one he didn’t have to share with anyone, allowing him to come and go whenever he wished. Another thing—the Village Center was about to be constructed.
Ian wanted to take another step forward… and that step would be through the Village Center.
“My lord—” As soon as he returned, Yora greeted him, with a girl dressed in black standing behind her.
“Have the tailors started working?” Ian asked in surprise.
“Yes,” Yora smiled.
Ian looked at her. “You’re doing an amazing job.”
Not only had she distributed the departments, she had also found silkworms using her skills and had the tailors produce clothing for the villagers—but… what was with these clothes? Why did they look like assassin outfits?
“What do you think, my lord? Our Assassin Squad!.. And this is Zero,” Yora gestured.
Ian was startled and looked at her .“Zero… why?”
“A new name for a new life, my lord…” Zero bowed .“I have important information!”
