The Road Trip(3)

“ You always make fun of me, leave it. I am not interested in such a place. Don’t listen to what I have to say. You always ignore me just like that.”

“ So you agree that you are a spoiled brat.”

“ I am not a brat anymore. I am an adult so please stop making fun of me. It had been two hundred years since you had been making fun of me.” Ellaya said with a dissatisfied mood.

“ OK. Whatever you say but it has been only over one hundred and forty seven years since we first met.” l teased her more for being wrong on the math.

“ Just round it off and you would be able to get a two hundred approximation so you should at least treat me like a two hundred years old.” She tried to make her move.

“ Not a chance. You are still a child to me even if you have become double the age of yours cause if we round off then I am still eight hundred years older than you so in front of me, you are still a child.” I wrestled with her on the topic of age.

“ You and your first batch of humans. Do you really think that people will even care about that if you told them that you belonged to the present sector as everyone that comes from the time space vortex all becomes part of the present. You are not a very important batch of humans even if you had seen the first formation of dimensional shiftings. Such things had become more complex and the times had changed. Now the standard of living only depends on the Pinyin and resources.” Ellaya continued her narration.

“ But I have enough Pinyin and also resources whether it is money, land or Deprave parts.” I countered her narration as I was not someone that one could simply take as a background character in their story. I was rich even if I did not want to say it.

“ What do you mean?” Ellaya enquired about my possessions.

Despite how I looked, l had a dimensional domain that was more secure than a fortress. Although in spite of its security, it came with the problem of constant shifting and changing of the constant dimensional coordinates. This was a hassle of a job everytime one wanted to enter the dimensional zone without harm cause if you were stranded in a dimensional vortex, you might be transported to another sector or place. It becomes difficult to come back. No one ever had ventured in the time space continuum and lived to tell the tale. If humans went inside them, they would become turned Depraves and these Depraves could easily travel in the continuum stream as the collapsed world was where they thrived and flourished.

The world inside the vortexes was something that was a forbidden area for humanity but not much could be said about the Depraves. They probably could travel back and forth from the near vicinity of the time-space vortex. Although the tests were never published but as I was one of the inner members of the mesopotamian sector, l heard some rumors but it was not a solid foundation for me to make them a part of my belief system unlike the hocus pocus group whose normal feed was rumors like these. In the collapsed world, even with the people that were from the future, there were many people that thought that there were magical and fairy beings in this world. They promoted the Depraves as one of them. Maybe there was a being that liked this hocus pocus deal of humans and killed his time in making these time space vortexes but such things were beyond the understanding of the normal people of the collapsed world. There were groups that made their livings in charities and in believing their own stipend deities.

Even in the mesopotamian sector, they had a deity that they worshiped and they had a strong backing for it too. As for me, l did not consider myself a very devout follower of this deity, it was mostly lip service and there were many who were who also led simple lives like cattles. There were some exceptions to it who followed up more devotedly, I had some friends or more like colleagues that I knew of. I just tried to remain out of trouble most of the time. They referred to themselves as Muhammadens or something else. There were many factions within them as it was the case with all the deities subsector. They called themselves by different names, all divided among their leaders. As I was one of them, l did not think of doing something like that because I thought that these deities were something man made. I liked my own sector but I could not follow all of their teaching as I did not want to be a part of all the mellow drama that came with their civil wars or something. I was a happy person living in my own house with a hill and other sceneries were all that I liked about.

“ By the way, when would you be ready for the transshipment? We do not have that many days, the caravan will be leaving in a few days so you better pack up your things.” Tuz said with an alarming tone.

“ What are the specifications and details of the transaction that you want to make?”

“ Did you hear about the caravan?”

“ Yeah! Yeah! The more important thing is what do you want from me but there are some things that l am not clear. Why do you need me to go with you? You can do these things without me but what are the specifications that you need me for this particular problem?”
