Chapter 89 – Having Fun With Gravity Balls

Rey created a Gravity Orb in his hand with twenty percent gravity. He immediately felt his feet slipping, but he had trained himself enough that he could reject the orb's pull. At least he wasn't doing involuntary acrobatics around it like a cursed marionette. It might've also been the Gravity Domain under his feet that was keeping him rooted to the spot.

It better have kept him firmly planted on the ground, because he had temporarily increased the gravity to ninety percent, and was one bad thought away from turning his underwear into a crime scene. Considering these were the only underwear he had, he had to keep his asshole firmly clenched.

Now came the hard part. He shut off Gravity Domain, and his feet lifted off the ground immediately. He used Attraction on himself. It worked a little as the two opposing gravitational forces warred against each other to take Rey for a spin. So he stood perfectly still for a few minutes, afraid that even blinking too hard would send him into an unscheduled orbit.

Then, when he was confident enough that he could keep his feet, he took a step forward. As soon as he lifted his foot, it felt like that was it. But thankfully, he was able to take a step forward before Gravity Orb sucked him into its gravitational field. Then came the next step, which was equally as challenging. But slowly, they got easier. It was at the tenth step that he made a mistake, and the orb almost turned him into laundry in a tornado.

He shut off the Orb, which was still in his hand, and dropped to the ground. A sharp pebble dug into his side. He cried out, rolled off the thing, and rubbed his side. As much as he hated it, it was time to try again.

He did the same thing, and this time, he only managed a few steps before he was floating around the thing like debris around a dying star. Thankfully, this time he didn't land on any rocks or pebbles.

He kept on trying again and again, only managing a few steps before he was floating around. After his sixth or seventh try, he got so fed up that he made a motion to throw the orb away, and to his surprise, it worked.

The Gravity Orb went flying through the air as if it were a baseball imbued with power to attract anything and everything. His eyes widened as it landed near a small boulder that must've been a foot across and little taller than that, and immediately the boulder lifted off the ground and started spinning around the Gravity Orb.

Rey had an idea. He wondered if he could increase the gravity of an Orb that he had already created, so he put that to the test. He took several steps back and increased the twenty percent gravity to fifty percent.

  To his surprise, it worked.

The boulder revolved faster and faster around the orb as it fell into it. Rey felt the pull as well, but he was far enough away that he could easily resist it.

So, it's kind of like Gravity Domain in that aspect. Time to see if I can create two of them.

He created another one a few meters to the right of the first, with the same amount of gravity, and it worked. He did not doubt that it wouldn't, but it was still nice to have confirmation. The boulder stopped revolving around the first orb and was pulled to the second, but stopped right in the middle.

This made Rey frown. What do we have here? It's like those times when I use Attraction on an enemy and have them be pulled in two separate directions.

The boulder hovered neatly in the middle, spinning in place, falling into neither Gravity Orb, but the orbs were pulling off the dirt on the rock as they spun and gathered up dust and other loose pebbles.

"What is that?" Filomena mused before looking to Rey. "What are you doing?"

Rey grinned. "Creating my own planetary system."

"Well, your planetary system is making it hard for me to do my squats."

"Oh, nothing should interrupt a lady who's sculpting her buttocks."

He shut off the orbs, and everything fell. He looked over and found Kassandra staring at him, and he couldn't figure out whether she wanted to profess her undying love or tear him to pieces.

"What? Did it interrupt your workout as well?"

She huffed and went back to doing her sit-ups.

Rey cocked his head to the side. "Was it something I said?"

He was about to go back to playing around with Gravity Orb when he heard a screech. He snapped his head to it, and there was a deformed demon of some kind that had sharp bones protruding out of its elbows. Basically, his whole arm was nothing but a bone spear. No hands, instead it ended in a point.

"Hey," he called to his friends and pointed at the demon. "How do you think it wipes its butt?"

"I don't think it wipes its butt," Ajay replied. "It is a demon, after all."

"But imagine if it did. How would it clean its butt?"

"It doesn't look like it would be able to bend its arms."

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

Rey straightened his arm and tried to wipe his butt. The best he could do was wedge his hand in between his ass crack. "Nope. No butt wiping for him. Unless he pops a squat."

"That could work," Ajay agreed. "Or he could always wash his butt as all civilized people should."

Rey chuckled, and then gasped. "What if he's coming here to clean his filthy butt in our nice and clean stream? Wait, you could always evaporate all his dried shit with your fire. Nothing is cleaner than when it's cleansed by the flames of the righteous."

Ajay snapped his fingers. "That could work."

"Oh my God, he's infecting my man with his insanity," Filomena said, pinching the bridge of her nose.

Kassandra patted her shoulder. "It's okay, you still have time to save him."

Rey shot towards Ajay using Repulsion and landed beside him in a heartbeat, as he pulled himself forward with Attraction. He had gotten quite good at doing these Hulk-like jumps.

He jabbed an elbow in Ajay's side. "She called you, her man." He giggled.

Ajay snorted. "Knock it off, man."

The demon had come close enough that Rey could see more of its features, and he was definitely a humanoid at some point, but now nothing remained of the person. Its eyes were split into hundreds of eyes like those of a fly. Its teeth were a mishmash of fangs and regular teeth, blackened and rotten. The only good thing about it was its rank.

  [Demon (Exiled) – E+6]

By rights, he should've given it to one of the others, as they could still earn some experience from it, but where would he find such a willing volunteer to experiment on?

"This one is mine," Rey declared.

"But we can still get experience from it," Kassandra protested.

"I know, but I need a live body to do unspeakable things to." Rey shut off their Gravity Domain. "You guys can take a break. My Mana is running low as it is."

He let the demon come close and then activated Gravity Orb with fifty percent gravity. Once again, there was a slight tug, but the others clearly felt a stronger tug. They weren't rocked off their feet and went flying towards the orb, but they were digging their heels in, and even still, they were having a hard time.

"Someone's been slacking off, and by someone, I mean, all of you."

They moved back a little slowly and with difficulty. Ajay and Filomena left to get a drink, sneak in a smooch, or both. It was probably both. He spared a look at them as they walked away, hand in hand, talking in hushed whispers and giggling; they were definitely going to do some vigorous cardio.

Rey focused on the demon who had been slashing the orb in vain. It couldn't see the orb, but it had been collecting dust and pebbles, so it must've thought that whatever was causing this was in that cocoon.

Anyways, that was not what he wanted to try here. He had seen that he could create multiple orbs and even chuck them, which was useless since he could plop them down wherever he wished. Unless he was running low on Mana, he could pick one up and throw it somewhere else.

He felt someone's hand on his back. He turned to see it was Kassandra, who was using his body as a shield to protect herself from the orb's pull. He wanted to say that she could use his body in any way she wanted, but he didn't let his intrusive thoughts win, this time. But he was keeping this one on the back burner and would drop it on her sooner or later.

"What are you trying to do?" She asked.

"Just trying to see the various applications of my new skill. It's better to test a skill out in the safety of our current environment rather than get butt fucked by a demon for real. I have on good authority that they named it painal for a reason."

She snorted lightly. "So someone is kinky like that, huh?"

"What? No. Shh, let me concentrate."

He turned to the spinning demon, focused on the orb, and commanded it to move to the left, and it worked. Of course, the demon went on the joy ride along with it.

So, an orb can also be moved. Good to know.

Next, he created another Gravity Orb beside the original and decided to smash the two together. That wasn't difficult at all. They blended into each other quite well, and another thing happened that he wasn't expecting—the new orb doubled in size.

  Rey frowned. "That's unexpected."

He checked the pull of gravity, and it was still at fifty percent.

"What's unexpected?" Kassandra asked, grabbing onto his arm to stand beside him, and not get flung towards the orb.

"I created two orbs and merged them. The size doubled, but the amount of gravity stayed the same."

"It makes sense to me, since whatever these orbs are, they're not really physical things, so just because their size doubled, it shouldn't increase their gravity. After all, it is just magic."

Rey nodded. Then another idea struck him. He focused on the orb and did his best to ignore the screeching demon who was slashing at the orb as if it were a pi?ata and it would burst open and shower it with goodies.

He doubled the size of the orb, and then doubled it again. Then he stretched it to the max. The orb was about ten feet in diameter, give or take a few inches. It wasn't like the orb's gravity had increased, but due to its size, it was pulling more things towards it. Even Kassi was dragging her feet.

He gripped her arm and took several steps back until she could stand comfortably. She nodded her thanks.

There was one more thing he wanted to try, but for that, he would have to wait until the demon fell into the sphere, if such a thing was even possible.

He waited for the demon to complete its spin and gave it a mighty push with Repulsion. The demon fell into the sphere. It was like an invisible hand gave the demon a corrective smack and yeeted it into the swirling orb.

Its shrieking intensified. Rey shared a confused glance with Kassandra, who seemed equally perplexed.

"Sounds like he's being ripped apart," she said. "I almost feel bad for it."

"Don't. It wouldn't do the same for you."

"Just because someone will do evil things to you, doesn't mean you should do evil things to them."

  Rey smiled. "My angel…"

  Her brow furrowed. "What?"

"Nothing, babe." He winked and turned to the shrieking demon.

It was hard to see what was going on in the orb, thanks to all the dust and rocks swirling around the sphere. But that wasn't even the thing on his mind. It was what she had said. He'd been around demons for so long that he'd forgotten what it was like being around good people. He glanced at her and held her gaze. It was like he was seeing her for the first time, and a part of him found himself unworthy, but then Demon Rey ate that part up.

Stop being such a pussy. She's fated to be ours.

  Yeah. You're right.

The demon's shrieking finally died down, and Rey deactivated the Gravity orb. The demon's crushed form dropped to the ground. He looked similar to a crushed soda can. His bones were pulverized so thoroughly that it was hard to tell what his original shape was, but that was not what drew his attention.

It was the Tigerman running towards them.
