After the death battle in the arena, Skylar was invited into a room to meet with the manager of the lair—the arena master—the green serpent.
"Uncle, do you like the experience at any rate?"
The serpent wiggled seductively in front of Skylar while looking at him with a playful gaze.
"Mm-hmm. It wasn't that bad; I am happy I survived."
Skylar sitting on a pure white platform resembling a chair responded. Meanwhile he is looking around, estimating the worth of the room of unbelievable dimension and the level of decoration done to make it a sanctuary of holiness.
So someone like you recognize beauty... Thinking in her mind, the serpent hissed from amusement. She found Skylar's interest in the room design that does not seems to match his nature amusing.
"Do you like the architecture and design here?" She inquired.
"Its incredible." Skylar replied. Meanwhile, he once again glanced at the pure white unblemished glowing walls; the golden pattern on the white ceiling that is about half a kilometer from the floor that is covered entirely in white cotton clouds, looking like a cloudy sky; the flower beds of brightly glowing white flower plants thriving on top of four headless giant golden statue placed in the room's four corners; and two of the three distinct pure white platforms located at the room's center—one, like a seat for giants that is exactly like the one he is sitting on and is making him look like a cockroach on a human seat; and the second, an altar serving as a table between the seat and the one he is sitting on.
"If you are wondering, uncle; this structure dates back to the previous era; everything: the three walls enclosing the arena, the rooms and even the arena were all carved out of one celestial marble rock floating on the sea of forbidden clouds. You must have seen it before you were brought inside. Uncle, can you guess what function this structure served in that era?"
The serpent with her forked tongued almost licking Skylar's face lectured and asked.
Then, Skylar with his gazed fixed on the serpent very big slit eyes replied:
"A temple, a convent, or both. And this room in particular has to belong to the overseer at that time, right?"
"What makes you think this room belongs to the overseer? There are a number of rooms way more extravagant than this one. I know you have not seen them yet, so, you might want to think about it again." She replied as her forked tongue approached Skylar's ear teasingly.
"Its because you occupied it. And why am I here exactly?" Skylar answered and asked, his questioning gaze piercing the serpent. Then the serpent realizing Skylar was not in the mood to chitchat, returned to her seat which is on the opposite side while hissing and wiggling, trying to be seductive—a sight Skylar finds incongruous, giving her serpent form.
Stolen story; please report.
"Uncle at this rate, let's talk about your performance in the arena and the points you earned."
As she speaks, she brought out a strange bird-looking creature with two pairs of wings and two pairs of a very big compound eyes.
Hmm, that's strange. I remember pretty sis said we get this summary only after we return to our room. Is she treating me differently? No, she might be up to something shady...
Skylar with a blank expression hid his suspicion. Then he looked to the side at one of the gigantic statues and asked:
"What point value was I assigned at the beginning?"
"Seven. At this rate, fitting, right?"
The snake replied indifferently just ad she yanked the poor bird's tail and released it, after which the bird flew up, and hover in between them, facing one of the walls of the room—one to their side.
"What about the lizard guy..." Skylar asked, but he was interrupted midway by the sight of the exotic bird that is maintaining a spot midair when it projected from its four compound eye, a screen recording of probably all his action in the arena.
What kind of creatures is this bitch dealing with; another one just like that strange annoying screaming bird. Was this one also stalking me or something?
Skylar mused. He watched the content of the holographic display. Then the serpent watching the content along with him resumed:
"Uncle, at this rate you did really well. I expected you were going to die on your first encounter with any of the other creatures. You should know the creature with the lowest point value after you was twenty..."
"Wait, why will you lump me together with creatures far stronger than me?" Skylar interrupted her with a frown just as he turned to look at her.
"Uncle at this rate you may not know; the weakest creature you will find here will definitely have a point value of twenty or more, you just happen to be the only exception. You are indeed very weak. Also, my employer demanded I put you up, so it wasn't my fault you almost died."
The serpent explained, her focus never leaving the projection midair that is like a 2D holographic display.
Fuck! Its like I thought. Maybe that's why those guys wouldn't let me go and chase me for that long, wait that means...
"So how many points did I earn?" Skylar quit his thought and asked with great curiosity, raising his head to lock gaze with the green serpent that reciprocated his gaze.
"At this rate..." She paused; she hissed teasingly and continued: "Just a thousand, three hundred and eighty five, not bad, right?"
Fuck! That's about seventy weak guys, is that lizard guy that strong to have had that amount of points at that early stage? Hmm... I don't know...
He pondered. Then he returned his attention to the content of the projection which is at where he met the big guy underground. And the silence accompanied them persist as the two watch the remaining content of the projection.
"Can I return now?"
Later, Skylar broke the silence just as the performance of the weird bird—its projection—come to an end at where he was escorted out of the waiting room amongst the other survivors by one of the two white snakes.
"Yes, I think it should be ready at this rate." The serpent replied with a crafty look in her eyes.
"What is it you are talking about?" Skylar asked. Then he stand up, standing on his seat.
"Your new room, hehehe..."
He received the serpent mental reply just as he jumped to the floor and sank into the soft white cloud.
Bitch! I know she was up to something suspicious. So she was buying time to carry out her sneaky plan...
Skylar thought, then from the drowning manufactured cloud, he leapt onto the top of the table, clearly not giving her the reaction she expects.
"Carry me." He demanded expressionlessly and his presence for an instant turned oppressive and overwhelming. Even shocking the serpent who managed to hide her expression of it.
"???" What was that I felt just now...
Though briefly lost in thought, the serpent did as Skylar instructed. Then with Skylar now on her back, she starts heading towards the golden gate of the most exalted room—leaving it and going to Skylar's new 'holding chamber'.
