Chapter 120 - A Stalker and an Alleyway

I had followed the woman to the river bank. I made no move on her. Didn't feel right just yet. I leave the area. I passed Nick. Sick fuck. Guess I am going to have to give up on this mark. She is going to end up in the river with a slit throat. Damn she looked like she had goods on her too.

  -----

I spot her again walking the same path…

Nick didn't take her? That's surprising. I follow her a bit. See if she notices me. So far she hasn't. Those cat eyes are always looking forward to her destination. Never a glance to the side. She will make for easy pickings. I let her go. Not tonight. Don't feel right. I pass a nervous woman on my way back to my hovel.

  -----

A third time she passes me by. Tonight is the night. I creep on her. Slowly, surely. Don't make a sound. Don't let her hear you. We are nearing the river. I hear the start of an argument down the street. Damn. I head back to my hovel. My stomach grumbles at the missed opportunity. Maybe tomorrow.

  -----

I followed her again. She still does not notice me. She deviates slightly. Walking closer to his alleyway. But why? She never did so before. It's not long before she is snatched by the rapist. Damn. I could wait and try to snag the dress while he is busy. But I don't want to watch. I leave before the screams inevitably start.

  -----

Bipp pulled the attendant into the alley way. She had gotten too close like sooooo many others. He pulls at the dress ready to rip it off her. His other hand around her throat. Never did a Pimar before. The fabric stretches absurdly then disappears from his grasp. He looks at his hand in disbelief. The other hand feels the neck grow larger. The narrow alleyway gets more crowded. A hand grips his neck and lifts him up. Not a hand…a claw. He sees the spider body now black and still growing. The monster's two hands tilt his head to his shoulder. He sees her open her jaws. Four incredibly sharp fangs. They bury themselves into his neck.

  -----

She's back again? How is she alive?

She never seems to check around herself, always heading to the river bank. She should be dead. But here she is again. Best relieve her of her coin this time. No more getting discouraged.

She catches my hand as I try to go for her pocket. She starts to drag me away. How did she know? She never seemed to have noticed me before. I'm young, she'll let me go if I whine just right.

“Damnit lady, I'm hungry, let me go.”

She doesn't release me. She is dragging me pretty far for a scolding. I see the river bank. I go and reach into her pocket with my free hand. I pull out a knife. I jab it into her leg. A moment later the flesh twists. Her grip on my wrist tightens. My wrist snaps even as I watch her leg mend itself.

It becomes a spider leg, black. I am crying out in pain as she lifts me by my shattered arm. Her jaws clamp onto my sides. Ahhhhh fuck this hurts. I see someone looking at the puddle of blood she made from the knife wound. It all starts to grow dark when I find myself airborne. I landed in the river. I try to swim but I have no strength and only one working arm. I try to breathe but it's water not air I take in. My lungs burn.
