The 1st sun is just about to rise. As he wakes, the archmage, Phoenix, complains, “Really? I wake up, and of the 5 suns, the 1st is only beginning to rise? Ugh.” He gets up, gets dressed, and then checks to see if he got any system notification, and he did. It is something about him reaching his class’s level cap, which is 1,000. He then requests for a class advancement quest, which would allow him to become a sage. “Hmmmm… What to do for now? Are there any unclaimed gates open?” Phoenix thinks out loud. Gates are these portals to different dimensions full of monsters called magic beasts. His phone rings, and he grabs it to see that both Clara and Josh, his 2 best friends, are calling him. He answers and then asks, “Why are you 2 calling me so early? It is…. 2:00 AM!” Clara replies, “We have a surprise for you! Meet us at the Hero’s statue!” “Uh… Ok.” Responds Phoenix, confused. He goes to the Hero’s Statue and sees them. He thinks to himself, "Something doesn’t feel right…” He uses Dispel illusions on his “friends,” and they fade. Then, he sees… a woman? He tries to use his magic to attack the woman, but the system negates his magic. He thinks to himself, “She must be an architect. This isn’t good, but what did I do to anger this architect?” The architects are beings of immense power that enforce the rules of the system. “Hmmmmm. The only way to defeat an architect if you aren’t one yourself is to use hero magic, but that can be very dangerous due to negative side effects.” he thinks. Even though he’ll have to face deadly negative side effects, he uses hero magic enhanced by the hero’s statue. “Hero’s wrath!” He cries out as he starts to feel the negative effects already, with the spell bringing a final death to the architect. Or, so he thought! As he tries to relax, he suddenly senses the architect’s attack and thinks, “I knew it wasn’t going to be that easy!” He gets hit, and then starts an incantation for a VERY powerful spell. “All consuming inferno, celeste infinite, remove this architect from existence ONCE AND FOR ALL!” An incredible light and flame then destroyed the architect truly, this time. He then received a few system notifications, mainly about him gaining the title, “Architect Slayer,” which made it possible for the use of his abilities while fighting an Architect. There was one about Phoenix having to face the judgement of the council of Architects in a week.

“You destroyed an Architect. Tell us why we shouldn’t do the same to you.” Said one of the Architects. Phoenix replies, “You can try, but I could do the same using lighting magic if I so wished. After all, I am the Architect Slayer who protected himself from an Architect that attacked me for no reason…” “Does the Architect Slayer not know of the prophecy?” whispered one of the architects. That caught Phoenix’s attention, mainly because that comment confused him. “Am I a part of some kind of prophecy? Even if I am, why would an architect attack me?” inquired Phoenix. He then felt 2 extremely powerful beings enter the dimension. “... One of them is an embodiment. The other, I have no idea what is.” Phoenix said in response to the entries of the powerful beings. An architect replies, “The second being is a grand ruler, specifically Blade. The embodiment you sense is the embodiment of prophecy, Julius.” The grand ruler, Blade, asks Julius, “Is that human that destroyed the architect that has broken the cosmic laws the one you say will become an elder monarch, Julius?” Phoenix heard this and then, upset due to the intentional disrespect in the grand ruler’s voice, attempted to destroy Blade, just to be sent flying. Surprised, Blade asked Julius, “Why couldn’t I destroy him?!” “Because the unlimited power of prophecy protects him until the prophecy is fulfilled,” answers Julius. “So when he ascends to elder monarch-hood?” Blade asks. “Yes,” replies Julius. Blade thinks to himself, “I guess I’ll just have to wait to destroy him.” “I couldn’t even cut that Blade!” Phoenix exclaims. Phoenix then noticed… Something? He then passed out.
When Phoenix woke up, he saw the real Clara and Josh staring down at him intently. “... Personal space, please?” Phoenix requests. “Oh… Sorry!” Clara and Josh say in unison. Phoenix looks around, and doesn’t recognize where ever they are, though, he can tell that it is some kind of hospital. “Where are we?” he inquires. His friends shrug. Josh says, “We were teleported here and found you.” “Huh. Let us see. Let me see where my fate has led me!” Phoenix chants. No response. “Strange. The divination magic I just used was one of the strongest spells meant for learning one’s location, and yet, it failed.” he thinks out loud. “Is the door unlocked?” asked Phoenix. “Yeah.” Clara answers. “Let no obstacle hinder our path. Let no knowledge be a secret that would hide a door. Let our path be unhindered!” Phoenix chants in order to reveal and unlock any exit. That spell succeeded. The locked door flung open as a loud shattering sound echoed through the room, and Phoenix and his friends left the room.
