“Interesting…” Phoenix thought just as he was teleported to the first trial’s location; an enormous forest. As he looked up, he saw Aero and Phoenix’s instincts told him that this trial was about strategy and endurance. Aero then began approaching Phoenix swiftly, and Phoenix then realized that the strategy was for preparing ways to evade the person that is chosen to attempt to tag the initiate before 96 hours, or 4 days passed, and the endurance was for being able to push through exhaustion. Phoenix then calmly thought, “Easy enough for me. Though, without my passive divination enchantment, I would’ve failed on the first trial already.” Phoenix then teleported to the opposite end of the trial area and began using his magic and surroundings to create a well hidden, divination proof, and almost impenetrable base that has powerful ward spells all around it that existed in both the material and nonmaterial worlds simultaneously. “There,” He thought to himself while using mana detection, an ability that almost all spellcasters have that isn’t recorded as a skill, to try to track Aero, only to notice the mana signature of another initiate if he remembered correctly from the explanation for the initiation trials. Because of that, Phoenix used divination magic to see what was happening, and saw the initiate and a woman, probably the initiate’s tagger. He decided to teleport the other initiate into his base, which shocked the tagger since the initiate’s mana just vanished completely. After teleporting the initiate to his base, Phoenix asks, “What is your name? Do you need any healing?” The initiate answers, “My name is Acheron, and no, I am not injured at the moment. Thanks for asking, though.” Phoenix replies, “That is good to know, Acheron. My name is Phoenix, and I am both a regressor and the elder monarch of magic, king of mages. What type of magic do you specialize in?” “I mainly specialize in elemental magic. Why?” Acheron answers, slightly confused why Phoenix wants to know that. Phoenix explains, “Knowing somebody’s main magic specialization can tell me what weaknesses they would probably have. For example, most elemental mages can swiftly cast spells, but most elemental spells have the drawback of being both chaotic and AOE, and those don’t go together very safely. If you were a creation mage, the major drawback would be the mana exhaustion, but that is because it is capable of creating new deities from nothing. Do you have any questions about elemental magic?” Acheron answers, “Yes. Is there a way to make elemental magic more stable?” Phoenix responds, “Fair question. There is a way, but that requires law magic, and elemental mages almost never have access to said law magic.” Acheron replies while nodding, “Makes sense. What magic is your main specialization?” Phoenix answers, “Officially, it is astral magic. Because of that, if I had to fight against a more experienced administrator that was based around the physical world, I would have a major disadvantage that would be difficult to overcome, but so would my foe since they don’t know how to defend themselves from astral attacks.”
