Dear Dad,
We've made it to the lands of plenty.
We're probably not going to starve to death while we're here cause there's food growing on trees and bushes and shrubbery. Really, all over the place. There are people everywhere, but it's different from a city. They're, like, really spread out. It was insane to see from the top of the valley. It goes on forever, sparse forests and dottings of houses, but no farms or fields. It looks like people built their homes wherever there was enough room for a handful of them. I've never seen anything like it.
It rained around mid-day for a little while from seemingly perfectly clear skies, which was weird. Willow thought it might be from a cloud that had already passed overhead that we hadn't noticed and that it just took forever to fall, or maybe the cloud had turned into rain. Either way, we took shelter under this colossal tree while it happened, and then it was gone, and everything had a dew on it.
There weren't a lot of houses or anything as we entered the valley. Still, it was beautiful and hot. We all shed some layers as we went further into the valley.

We stopped at a decently large clearing to set up, but there wasn't a lot to set up. We didn't need to set up tents cause it's so warm. There are, like, no bugs here, which is so weird. There are all kinds of wild fruits and stuff that Zanair made us be extra careful while trying, but all seemed safe to eat and delicious. I don't actually know what we ate, but I want to try it again and maybe have it for breakfast. My favorite was the blue fruits that grew in clusters like grapes but tasted like orange sherbet.
We didn't even need to light a fire cause it was warm enough that we didn't need it, and without the bugs, there's no need to light one to keep them away, and all of our food was amazing without cooking.
I only lit a candle to write this letter, and that's just cause the light from the stars isn't enough to write. It's so beautiful tonight, though. I honestly just want to finish writing so I can join the others' stargazing. I can hear the silly stories they're making up from here, and I'm a little jealous.
I wonder what the people in this valley will be like, perfect temperatures, plenty of food, and apparently no predators. It'll be interesting either way. It may be a day or two until we get close enough.
I'll tell you more as I learn it, and hopefully, more of our travels will be like this: beautiful, peaceful, and with full bellies.
We're not letting this slow us down, but it's all a win in my book.
Love, Jack
