26 – Selfishly Solipsistic Steps Suiting Schultz

Worldwide's scarabs coated her arms as she backed away, pressing her hand to the building at her right; it suddenly cracked and colpsed towards her, and as she tried to sweep back, the density of its rubble suddenly rose rapidly and sought to crush her alive-

  - but a geyser of water bsted her back and away as the building colpsed ahead & right of herself, her eyestalked foe still shambling 50ft ahead of her. As she nded in the middle of the avenue again, she felt the stickiness of the asphalt below rise suddenly and sticky her step; thrashing about to step with greater effort than usual, she realized what his Revenant was - to focus & defocus on particur properties of materials - and stomped down for a wave of fme that shot up the road towards him, yet it dulled into a weak orange as the corpses of two civilians fell behind him and another two pairs of stalks grew from him to affix them upon himself.

"Oh, great." she muttered as he began rushing towards her. "Need to find a counter, counter..." She swept and turned, ice forming under her step to keep her rush away unabated as he continued to pursue behind.

In the air around, she heard repeated over and over again until it had been reduced to the level of mental static that otherworldly chant of "FTL", repeated through as many husks there were falling to their deaths or half-deaths around her. She wished she could help or expend her scarabs in protection, but she understood already that she was not to sacrifice her safety for them; whenever there was still a set of eyes contained in their skulls, she sent a swarm of scarabs to devour them before her foe could take them himself.

As she turned and rushed into another avenue, she saw a building at her left and knew her pn; she burnt an entrance through the outside wall, and inside she swept as another tide of flesh and pound of blood fell behind herself; she saw her foe clumsily halt himself outside of the entrance she had made, and every eye he possessed peered at her, her skin weakening as the building colpsed into a rain of rubble around herself-

  - but a dozen geysers of water shot out from herself and bsted every piece towards him; their density was defocused and barely even touched him as they floated by, yet in the middle of his distraction she shouted for Worldwide and a bst of pressurized steam sliced through his stalks in several geysers of blood.

Staggering back, he was too slow to dodge her bde impaling clear through his face and put the other end; she shoved him to the ground and stomped his skull apart; with no Revenant he could not resist her any longer, and so she had a rare opportunity at violence that would not ever again make itself avaible.

She felt a loosening of all frustration and anger over the past months, collected into a single pincushion below herself that was biologically unable to die until she severed his heart. Again she stomped apart his skull, and again his externally-tched heart still beat; she burnt away his right leg and froze his left, then melted his lower half into a slurry of blood and gore as she sliced & sshed & sliced through him, repeatedly, until at st she severed the connection between his heart and himself and he died below.

"If only there were a hundred of you." she muttered. She had never dealt with anger well, but Urasaria at least provided an outlet. Whether it was a good one is for others to deem.

Her grip tightened around the tablet at her back; she knew that her location was visible to Aimee and the others, at least, yet she was still cautious as she crouched down to scan the Revenants she had fought.

[Microscopic Tendency: Ability to focus and amplify particur properties of materials to the defocus / decrease of others. Amplification / decrease is proportional to preexisting property of materials maniputed. (NOTE: Host's eyes will be permanently repced with stalk-eyes.)]

[Rock & Stone: Ability to burrow and spew ores. (NOTE: Host's hands will permanently fuse and morph.)]

[Dissolution: Ability to manipute resonant frequencies of objects. (NOTE: Host will lose ability to speak.)]

Mia again remembered that ugh of sadistic humiliation; she wondered if they had been directly coerced, or perhaps worse if they may have accepted their identity willingly.

All sound disappeared from the area and burst outward again; she turned to the source and the dreadnought was there again, thirty feet away from her, his arms risen slightly as if a celebration.
