“I am extremely sorry. I couldn’t save them.” After a long silence, Rex spoke those words with great difficulty.

  Today was the second biggest blow of his life. Under the relentless attacks of the Lizardmen, he could barely defend himself.

  The next day, Kenji woke up with his stomach growling. It had been more than twenty hours since he last ate anything.

  As Kenji entered the living room, there was no one in sight. He went straight to the kitchen, but unfortunately, there was nothing to eat.

  With no other choice, Kenji headed to the market to look for food.

  After leaving the housing complex, it took him only about ten minutes to reach the Fairy Market because he used Ki to strengthen his legs.

  “This… I..I am still… deciding.” As the Fairy suddenly appeared, Kenji panicked a little and lost his composure.

  “Sir, from the looks of it, you don't seem to have enough money. I understand. After all, a Monster Tide is going on. How about this? We have a payment plan here. You can continue eating here until the Monster Tide ends and pay afterward.”

  Seeing Kenji's expression, the Fairy immediately got wind of his situation and calmly offered a payment plan.

  “Let's buy one first and deal with this tiredness and hunger, and worry about other things later.” After some inner dialogue, Kenji decided to buy one food pill.

  “Here, Sir!” A few moments later, the Fairy came back with a single pill in a small glass bottle.

  “…Here,” Kenji looked at the pill bottle for a few moments before fishing out 4 Copper coins from his pockets and handing them over to the Fairy.

  “I will… be going now…” As Kenji was thinking about taking the food pill and heading out of the Sweet Perry restaurant, he noticed the Fairy looking at him without moving.

  “Sir, why don't you try it now?” The Fairy could tell from experience that Kenji had never tried food pills before, and with his weak body, the pill would do wonders.

  “…If… you say so.” At first, Kenji wanted to refuse; however, seeing the Fairy’s face, he opened the small bottle and put the food pill in his mouth

  “This!!” Out of nowhere, Kenji’s eyes widened.
