“Wha… what’s going on?” Approaching the worker he had a little interaction with yesterday, Kenji asked.
“Kenji, right? Well, yesterday Thor pooled all of the Firefly party’s money and bought a storage bag. From now on, they won’t be employing workers for transportation. Even contracted workers were laid off.”
After briefly explaining the situation to Kenji, the man immediately headed off to look for another job.
After hearing his words, Kenji was confused for a while. He had no idea what a storage bag was, nor how it could replace such a large number of transportation workers for the Firefly party.
“Should go someplace else…” Mumbling under his breath, Kenji wandered toward the notice area.
Half an hour later, Kenji found another party offering 2 Silver coins per trip. Without hesitation, he went to join.
“Don’t take it the wrong way, kid, bu
t aren’t you too weak for this kind of job?” Emli asked, looking at Kenji’s pitifully thin figure.
As the person in charge of transportation duty, Emli didn’t want to waste 2 Silver coins. No matter how pitiful Kenji looked.
“I… I… have a… good Gift…” Kenji spoke in a low voice, not daring to meet Emli’s questioning eyes.
‘Emli, how can you be so heartless? Just look at him. Maybe he has a seriously ill mother or father at home. Or maybe he needs to feed his hungry siblings.’
Emli kept staring at Kenji with a frightening expression, while deep down she struggled internally.
“Sigh Fine, you can stay.”
In the end, Emli decided to let Kenji come along. Even if he couldn’t carry monster carcasses, he should at least be able to help with the weapons and armors.
Seeing Emli agree, Kenji nodded and went to stand with the rest of the workers.
“Lucky kid.” Seeing Kenji join the group, the other workers looked at him with scowls.

Fifteen minutes later, the call stone hanging from Emli’s waist began to shine.
“Let’s go.” After a short talk with the person on the other side of the call, Emli led everyone out of the city.
Knowing that it was only 9 a.m. and that he still had a whole day ahead of him, Kenji didn’t immediately start using Ki. Instead, he slowly followed behind the group with his pitifully low stamina.
Seeing Kenji struggling to keep up, the workers glared at him in anger while increasing their pace.
With no other choice, Kenji had to mobilize his Ki to keep up.
Around an hour and a half later, everyone arrived at the Moonblade party’s hunting ground.
Unlike other parties, Moonblade consisted entirely of female members. Which is why, although it ranked at the bottom of the top 100 parties in Aqua City, its popularity was no less than some of the strongest parties in the city.
Seeing the beautiful ladies of the Moonblade party, the workers flexed their muscles and skillfully lifted the monster carcasses.
However, to everyone’s disappointment, no one from the Moonblade party looked their way and instead remained focused on recovering.
“Emli, take Sasha and Vespera with you and make sure to return as quickly as possible.” Kirra, the leader of the Moonblade party, instructed.
“Are you going to continue?” Emli asked. After all, they weren't supposed to spend so much time hunting today.
“I need money. Seraphina’s situation is getting worse day by day.” Kirra replied in a slow voice.
Ever since they were transported to this world, her sister had fallen into a coma. Even the Fairy doctors had no way of helping her. All they could do was keep her alive.
However, recently the energy clashes had been getting out of hand, and she needed a constant supply of healing and energy potions to keep her body from breaking down.
“Don’t worry, everything will be fine.” Vespera, who was sitting next to Kirra, comforted her.
“Emli, what’s the situation with that kid? He couldn’t even carry a Grey Hound, much less a Stormsteed.” Sasha asked, glancing in Kenji’s direction.
“He….” Just as Emli was about to explain, Kenji mobilized his Ki, lifted the massive horse carcass, and placed its upper body onto his back.
“What an impressive Gift.” Seeing Kenji walk with such weight on his back, everyone was surprised.
“We should head back now.” Seeing that the workers were ready, Emli took Sasha and Vespera and headed back toward the city.
The marching speed of the workers was quite fast, as all of them possessed strength-boosting Gifts. If it were before failing the Heavenly Trial, Kenji wouldn’t have been able to keep up.
However, although he failed the Heavenly Trial, the Heavenly Aura had strengthened his body to a certain extent, enabling him to tap into more of his Ki reserves.
Along the way, they encountered an attack from Wind Frogs, which they survived by hiding under a large cloth made of Aroki spider silk.
Unlike others, members of the Moonblade party actively visited the library. While researching Wind Frogs, they came across a note stating that the safest way to travel under Wind Frog acid rain was to use cloaks made from Aroki spider silk.
After asking around, they discovered that Aroki spider silk was relatively cheap. As a result, they bought an entire roll to cover both themselves and their spoils.
Safely surviving the Wind Frog wave, the Moonblade party continued on their way.
Half an hour later, everyone entered the city.
“Here, have to say kid, your Gift is pretty good. Wanna go back for another trip.” Handing over the money, Emli asked Kenji.
“I..I..can't.” After rejecting her, Kenji closed his eyes, fearing Emli's lash out.
“Okay! If you wanna work, show up on time tomorrow, 11:00 AM.” As the Moonblade team has been hunting Stormsteeds for a while, they know that just transporting one back to the city leaves the workers unable to work for the rest of the day.
Thankfully, recently their contracted workers have undergone their second Heavenly Trial and have made work so much easier.
As Emli left, Kenji also made his way back to the housing complex. Yesterday's overwork and today’s heavy Stormsteed had done a number on his back.
