Knowing that Kobolds were heading his way, Kenji prepared and launched his attack the moment they came into view.

  “Graggggggg!!!” The Kobolds screamed as the sharp Ki blade pierced their bodies, killing them in an instant.

  After killing the Kobolds, Kenji calmly walked up to the dead bodies and collected the Ki.

  With the success of killing three Kobolds without breaking a sweat, Kenji marched deeper into the cave with confidence.

  Ten minutes later, he came across seven Kobolds and succeeded in killing four of them with [Ki Blade], but the other three entered [Fury Mode] and frantically chased after him.

  Gasp “So… difficult.” While running away from the Kobolds, Kenji soon lost his breath and his legs started feeling sore.

  “Just another minute.” Seeing that the Kobolds were catching up, Kenji forced himself to continue running.

  After the [Ki Blade] attack, most of Kenji’s Ki was gone, and to recover it he needed to stop using Ki.

  That was why he was having such a hard time.

  But he had almost recovered enough Ki for another attack.

  A minute later, Kenji stopped running. With his body once again surging with vitality, he launched another [Ki Blade] at the bloodthirsty Kobolds.

  Two Kobolds were instantly killed. Unfortunately, one survived and rushed at Kenji at full speed.

  Just a few meters away from Kenji, the Kobold lunged at him, revealing its sharp fangs.

  However, unlike what the monster had in mind, it didn’t bite into human flesh. Instead, Kenji acted swiftly and waved his dagger toward the Kobold.

  Cutting through the fangs, the dagger easily severed Kobold's head.

  “Huh… that… huh… wasn’t easy… huh.”

  After killing the last Kobold, Kenji relaxed, but he had a hard time controlling his breath.

  After calming down, he collected the Ki, increasing his reserves once again.

  “Should I…” Looking at the carcasses of Kobolds around him, Kenji fell into deep thought.

  Currently, he couldn’t decide whether he should call it a day and take a few good Kobold carcasses with him, or continue killing monsters.

  After much consideration, Kenji decided to continue hunting Kobolds. [Ki Blade] roughly consumed 300 units of Ki, and the remaining Ki could only support him for a quarter of an hour.

  So, Kenji wanted to increase his reserves by as much as possible.

  Making a decision, Kenji headed deeper into the cave. Whenever he encountered a group of Kobolds, he would spam [Ki Blade] and run away.

  Once his Ki recovered, he would use [Ki Blade] again to finish off any remaining Kobolds.

  Kenji repeated the same process over and over again.

  “I… should head… back.” Inside the cave, Kenji had no way to tell the time, so he had no idea how many hours he had spent hunting Kobolds.

  Thus, Kenji hurried back to the city.

  “Here, and remember I give the best price in the whole city.” Handing over a Silver and a 50 copper coin to Kenji, the Fairy reminded him.

  Not seeing Kenji for two days, the Fairy assumed that Kenji was selling his monster carcasses to other vendors.

  “...Okay.” Kenji didn't get what the Fairy was trying to say, but he took the Silver and a 50 copper coin and left.

  “Now, I can…..” Just as Kenji was daydreaming about laying on his bed and having a beautiful sleep, he remembered something.

  “Oh, no…I am going…to be late.” Remembering his appointment with Mary, Kenji hurried to the Fairy Market.

  As Kenji arrived at the meeting place, he saw Mary sitting on the front stairs of the Library, looking around impatiently.

  “There you are, didn't we agree to meet here at 5:30 PM. Look at the time it's almost 6:10 PM.” Mary spotted Kenji the moment he walked up to the library. Getting up, she said in a harsh tone.

  Meanwhile the moment Mary started walking toward him, Kenji froze; he couldn't think straight and got lost in Mary's beauty.

  “.....Are you even listening to me?” Mary saw Kenji staring at her face and asked.

  “O..of course.” Kenji replied, still lost in her beauty.

  “As I was saying…” Mary didn't quite believe him, but she continued, “You should have awakened some Ki Body, otherwise you would have died the moment you channel Ki from Source Ki. But yesterday you also mention able to use [Ki Blalde] without the help of a [Skill Book].

  From what I gathered E-rank skills like [Ki Blade] need months worth of training before mastering them. Since you are able to do that in just a span of a month then you must be pretty talented. Here, these are the [Skill Manuals] that I borrowed from the Library.”

  Mary handed over three [Skill Manuals] to Kenji and then looked at the giant clock on top of the Library.

  “Need to go, I am running late. Remember to return these by tomorrow and be on time, 5:00 PM sharp.” Reminding Kenji, Mary hurried on her way, as she was already late for night classes.

  As Mary left, Kenji came back to his senses and looked at the [Skill Manuals] in his hand. Opening one of the books, he was surprised to find that these [Skill Manuals] were exactly what he was looking for.

  Wanting to dive into them, Kenji hurried back to the housing complex.

  “Kenji, dinner?” Kevin asked, seeing Kenji heading to his room in a hurry.

  “I…am good.” Although Kenji's stomach had been growling for quite some time now, thanks to the food pill he was still full of energy.

  Returning to his room, Kenji got rid of his blood-filled clothes and changed into a new pair.

  Then he opened one of the Skill Manuals and started reading. Amidst all the reading, Kenji slowly drifted into sleep.

  “No, no….” The next day, when Kenji woke up, he found that the [Flash] was covered in his drool.

  Thankfully, the [Skill Manual] wasn't made from normal paper, and he was easily able to wipe his drool off the page.

  “There are some leftovers in the kitchen, help yourself.” Maria said as she saw Kenji entering the living room, after which she went back to absorbing Ki.

  After putting something in his stomach, Kenji headed to the backyard to practice the skill he spent the last night studying.
