Fyrel, Nieren, and Eine's introductions were met with simir curiosity and intrigue as the Dwarves from Galfriei Domain rarely traveled to the capital. While Elves were even a rarer sight unless you've been to the Kingdom of Marn were many wood elves become sves after the fall of the Wood Elf Kingdom.
Eine for her part really thrived with all this attention as if this was her true element and she loved all the attention. The former orphan just basked in the glow and embraced the fact that she's a princess and a Velnax.
While Nieren didn't hate the attention, she did feel a little bit out of her element. She much prefer to roam through forests hunting monsters and tracking down her prey, but this was her first time in a long time that she's been in a noble banquet of this size. From what she remembered before her family's Kingdom fell over 40 years ago. She recalled that noble elven gatherings were much more modest and smaller in scale, not like these human parties.
The Ladies of the Court couldn't help but talk amongst themselves at the rare sight of four Demi-humans, but the rarest of them all was about to come next as they all silenced down as they saw the silhouette of who they thought was the mysterious and infamous Dark Elf that most had heard about, but few have ever got the chance to meet.
The Herald cleared his throat as he to couldn't help but be nervous when announcing the next person.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I present the Princess Rya Velnax, Saintess of Ironside, Healer of Sorellia, and future Crown Princess of Fiafyr," the Herald announced.
Hilda, Leandra, and her allies all frowned at this as they knew that this was a sign of the Queen's intentions, but Hilda feared that the Dark Elf got her cws into Rianna as the Queen was acting more youthful and risque than a woman her age should act. Surely the Queen was offered a reward to regain her youth for her loyalty, but the price must have been her soul.
'No! Not the Queen!... I need to—No! I have to trust in the Goddess's guidance. Whatever happens here today. I just need to confirm who is the foul Noblewoman and go along with her pns to stop Rya, and her corrupted followers.' Hilda thought as she kept her eyes peeled.
Rya, who was standing by the entryway nearly tripped over her own feet when she heard the Crown Princess title being bestowed upon her.
"What did he say?" Rya asked, dumbfounded before she whipped her head around to find her mother Yuliana, with a puzzled look and Queen Rianna, who had a mischievous grin.
'D-Did Rianna change my title on the invitation?' Rya thought as stared at the Queen with a "What the Fuck?" look.
Rianna only smirked and gave Rya a wink before putting up her stoic demeanor. She then whispered, "I Queen needs to be ready for everything, my dear Rya. Don't disappoint."
Rya's right eye started to twitch in frustration. 'She fucking did! Why the hell would she throw blood in the fucking water!?!'
Rya closed her eyes and faced the entrance once again and took a deep breath. 'It's fine! It's fine... So, what. If I can't deal with uppity bitches, then I'm a disgrace to my former occupation. I'm a consultant, a fucking amazing one too! So, don't worry, Rya. You got this! Besides, I have a pn...'
Rya's face went stoic, and she began walking down the stairs, not realizing that her new title had made quite an impression and her worries about running into another "mean girl" on Hilda's level had diminished greatly.
'Who's gonna want to fuck with me? I'm the fucking Crown Princess. HA! Take that, Hilda! I can py your little games better than you can!' Rya thought confidently as she made her way down the stairway in her beautiful bck and red dress that had red rubies in the skirt flickering in the light. She had her elven choker colr neckce around her neck since the day she was teleported to Tertius. The glowing orb that was embedded into the middle of the choker shined brightly as everyone could see the yellow and red yin-yang symbol from within the 2 times golf ball-sized gem.
As she entered the great hall, all of the women in the room had a sense of awe and fear as this was the first time anyone has seen a Dark Elf. The rumors about their beauty and power were not exaggerated in the slightest, and even though they knew that she was a Dark Elf, most had trouble believing that one was actually standing in front of them.
Most of the noblewomen felt a chill run up their spine and could not help but thank the goddess that their husbands weren't here. Rya's body was a thing of perfection with a slim waist, giant gravity define breasts, and a nice hourgss figure. And with the way her bck and red dress fit her perfectly, there was no doubt that she was a beauty worthy of her title, even without the magic she possessed. If only they knew that she was four months pregnant then their jealousy would have increased tenfold and Leandra, Aric, and Duval's pns would have been ruined.
Hilda was the only one who among Rya's rivals who noticed the dark elf's weight gain and thought it was a punishment from the Goddess. But her slightly bloated belly was hidden by the corset of her dress and it was smaller than 90 percent of the adult women there. So, even if she was showing a slight baby bump, she would still be the envy of the room.
The noblewoman looked on as Rya walked down the staircase with a smile on her face.
'How does she manage to be so calm?' They thought to themselves as the room went quiet.
'D-Does she really eat babies?... No, the stories must have been exaggerations, right?' Another noblewoman thought to herself.
'Her eyes are glowing blue, like a beast.'
'I wonder how strong she is. I've heard she has destroyed entire armies single-handedly, could it be true?'
'I wish I had hair like hers... A-And breasts like hers—Gah!? What am I thinking? She must be cursing me. Yeah, that's it!'
'Is that an artifact she's wearing around her neck? Does that give her more power?'
'Her skin is so brown. It's like she has a tan all the time, but her teeth are so white and straight. I thought the stories said Dark Elves had pointy teeth?'
'What kind of dress is that? Is she some sort of savage showing off that cleavage of hers? What's the point of her using that shawl if her chest is exposed anyway?'
'Is her hair naturally white? Or is it dyed?'
'She looks so exotic... It's no wonder why the Crown Prince was seduced by her. If I'm not careful, she might try to steal my husband to harvest his organs!'
'I wonder how old she is? Is she over 100? But she looks like a 19-year-old.'
'She must be a sorceress. That's the only expnation I can think of to why her breasts don't sag! She's bigger than the Queen and yet her back can support those watermelons. What's her secret?'
And so the random thoughts of the nobles were endless, as Rya stepped down from the stairs and stood before her allies, bystanders, and mostly rivals.
'Huh... This isn't as bad as I thought,' Rya told herself as the women in close proximity to her took a few steps back out of fear. 'It's been awhile since the st time I saw so many frightened faces.'
She looked around the room at the Ladies of the Court who were hiding behind one another. She even spotted a few women trying to hide behind a servant.
'Well?... Since they are all standing around like statues. Might as well scan them,' Rya thought as she reached inside her cleavage and found her Seer Stone and pulled out the demonic monocle.
'Hmm, I wonder what if any of these dies have any interesting Mana Veins,' Rya thought as she brought up the sinister looking artifact and the jet bck lens began to glow purple around the rim.
The few women who knew about Rya's artifact paid it no heed as they knew it was harmless, but the rest of the dies were startled and took a few more steps back.
"W-What is that thing!?" Lady Cassandra Bckwood asked, her voice trembling as she watched the Dark Elf pce the demonic object against her right eye.
"It must be something to see into our souls. We are going to die!" Lady Lucinda Montcir decred as she hide behind Baroness Isolde Stirling.
"Is it a curse!? Has she cursed the whole court!?" Lady Evelina Dravenhart asked as the crowd took a collective step back.
Ysandra, Saffron, and Seraphina Valerian looked at the dies and chuckled.
"This isn't a ughing matter! That thing is terrifying! Why aren't you three scared!? Did you see how the dark elf just pulled that thing out of her cleavage!?" Lady Elizabeth Dule asked as her voice cracked a little bit.
"It's nothing to be afraid of, really," Ysandra assured them, smiling.
"But look at it. How can't it not be frightening?" Lady Medalia Phanza said as she gestured to the demonic-looking monocle.
"It looks like a relic from the Hells," Isabel Wrightwood said, shaking her head.
"Don't judge it by its cover, Marchioness. She's used it to find 13 mages and 24 majas. She's going to bring upon a Renaissance of magic," Saffron said.
"Really? You're sure it's not cursed?" Elizabeth Dule asked.
"Positive. It can only reveal Mana Veins. It's used to find and locate majas and mages, not hurt anyone," Ysandra assured her.
The women around Ysandra, Saffron, and Seraphina felt a little more at ease, but they reserved their judgments unless they could verify its use.
"Mages, huh? When did you see her use it st?" Medalia asked.
"She used it on young Lord Johan. During dinner a few nights ago," Hilda chimed in not realizing that she accidentally helped out Rya and once she realized what she said, she covered her mouth.
"Johan? M-My son?... She used that thing on my son!?" Elizabeth asked as she turned to look at Hilda.
The foreign Princess let the cat out of the bag and she couldn't lie about it once all eyes were on her.
"Um... Yes... She did... Once, his father Baron Johnathan found out that she used it on orphans and she was using it at dinner. He pleaded to her to confirm that Johan had a good Mana Vein... And?..." Hilda trailed off, realizing that Elizabeth might not take it well.
"And did she confirm that he did?"
"...Yes, yes, she did. But like I said. She's honorable, for a Dark Elf, and she did have a pained look on her face when she ineffably confirmed that your son has a common level vein," Hilda tried to expin.
Elizabeth looked like she was lost in thought and remembered a couple days ago that Johnathan was pstered drunk as her son brought him home. She was so worried that the Dark Elf done something to him that she couldn't sleep until the butler informed her that her husband was asleep and everything seemed to be in order with his health.
Leandra who regained her regal aura looked calm and collective but deep down she was ready to strike with the fear of Rya was at its peak. If the Dark Elf was on the back foot with all Duchess's false accusations then the court of public opinion would turn in Leandra's favor.
But Leandra also knew that Rya wasn't some commoner and she was a very smart woman. She witnessed first hand how Rya made everyone look like a fool during the first Emergency Session that she first appeared in. She even got Leandra furious which wasn't an easy task, and Leandra wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.
"So, that's what happened to Johnathan... She made him fall for her trap," Elizabeth mumbled as she held her head.
Hilda wanted to correct the Baroness but she could tell that Elizabeth was lost in her own thoughts.
