VIRTUES: Silence. You wouldn’t understand this even if you lived another thousand years.
DISASTERS: Hmmm… perfect little angels. You’ll get what’s coming to you.
VIRTUES: Bring it on, we’re already boiling!
CéSAR / MORGANA: XIII… we’re the least of your problems, Lukas.
LUKAS / AUTHOR: Yeah, tell me about it. ???????
It all started with a notebook.
No plans, no dreams of success — just a bunch of messy thoughts scribbled between classes, between jokes and silence.
I wrote so I wouldn’t disappear.
I wrote to keep breathing, to turn what I felt into something that made sense.
Sometimes it was a phrase, sometimes a doodle, sometimes just a name: Lukas.
Back then, I was still trying to figure out who I was.
I got bullied, felt out of place, tired of being the easy target.
Until one day, without thinking, I threw a punch.
Just one — light, but straight and solid enough to shut someone up.
The guy’s front teeth flew, everyone froze in shock.
“What’s wrong, Lukinhas? You lost your mind?”
And I remember saying,
“If that’s the language you bullies speak, then fine — let’s talk in your language.”
That’s when I realized what had always been in my blood: the DNA of my hot-headed brother Luiz.
I raised my head and said:
“I told you to stop. Don’t mess with me again. Next time will be worse.”
After that, nobody touched me again.
I finished high school in peace.
And inside that peace, something new was born — the urge to show the world who I really was.
Lukas was born from that mixture of anger, courage, and the desire to change my own story.
I only changed one letter — from C to K — because Lukas was always part of me.
He’s who I was, and who I still want to become.
When I write him, I’m not creating someone distant.
I’m writing the reflection of everything I lived — the times I stayed silent, the moments I wanted to vanish, and the ones when I chose to stay.
The characters around him also came from my life.
Leli is inspired by my youngest sister — my daily reason to laugh.
We tease each other all the time, but we understand each other without words.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
She’s the light in the story, the breath of peace in the middle of chaos.
Luiz, of course, is the fighting brother — the one who’ll stand up for anyone he loves.
And Valquíria represents strength and justice — the refusal to watch others being stepped on.
I never needed to write character sheets.
I already knew who they were because they existed long before the story. I just had to write.
At first, Lukas’s world was only a pile of notes in that old notebook.
Then it moved to Word.
Later to Wattpad.
And finally, to Royal Road.
Each stage was a new try, a step of faith.
I honestly never thought anyone would read it.
But readers started to show up, one by one.
Some said, “Man, this feels like my life.”
Others wrote, “You described exactly what I felt.”
Little by little, the story grew.
Now there are almost nine thousand reads.
To some, that’s just a number.
To me, it’s proof —
proof that the kid who wrote in secret, who walked alone to school, who thought nobody would ever listen —
finally got heard.
There were times I thought of quitting.
Times I looked at the view counter and thought, “Nobody cares.”
But every time that doubt came back, I remembered that day — the boy who threw a single punch, took a deep breath, and moved on.
That moment taught me that sometimes, all it takes is one act to change your story.
Lukas is that reflection.
He has no crest, no recognized House, no innate power.
What he has is willpower.
He gets hit, bleeds, falls — and still stands up.
And that’s why he represents so many people.
The skinny kid no one believed in became a symbol of resistance — and of truth.
César and Morgana also came from inside me.
They’re the voices everyone has —
the reason that protects, and the instinct that pushes you forward.
For a long time, those voices argued in my head while I tried to find my path.
On paper, they became characters.
But deep down, they’re still part of who I am.
Looking back now, I see that every word I’ve written came from that forgotten ground —
the simple place where it all began: the notebook, the classroom, the feeling of not belonging.
From the “failure” was born the creator.
From silence came the shout.
The Invincible Skinny One is more than a character.
He’s the symbol that no matter your size, your origin, or how many times they tried to silence you —
if you stand up and keep going, the world will have to listen.
So if you read this and see yourself somewhere inside, know this:
every line holds a piece of truth.
Every victory Lukas achieves carries a bit of the kid who just wanted to be heard.
And every laugh from Leli carries the same joy that saved me countless times in real life.
The ground I forgot was just the beginning.
And from there rose the Skinny One the world will remember.
Hahaha! That’s just a glimpse of what I went through before reaching Royal Road.
Thank you all for reading and supporting this journey!
Whatever you’re facing — bullying, money troubles, emotional storms, or broken relationships —
remember this:
??? The secret of success is persistence.
That’s going to be Lukas’s catchphrase from now on.
Thank you, everyone!
We’ve reached almost — no, correction — we’ve reached 9K!
Now let’s aim for 10K!
