C14

It had been many solar rotations, years, since I last took a proper break. I had honestly not been able to tell. See, after my mission from my lord, I tended to stay out mor months, and sometimes years. Only occasionally returning for my maintenance.

But today, I wanted something. I had encountered a problem, and it was something that needed rectified as fast as possible. I needed a gun.

My Synaptic Disintigrator is about as long as I am tall, and that makes maneuvering it in close confines a... difficult endeavor, as I had found out.

As I was watching life around the forests, I had decided to go into a large thick set of trees. Not a problem, but what I hadn't realized was, it was inhabited. A pissed off pair of gigantic birds started attacking me, and I couldn't maneuver my gun around.

I had to let them repeatedly scratch me, actually scratch me, until I caught one, broke its wings, and threw it at the other. They came crashing down, where I mercy killed them.

It turns out that they were protecting young, and I ended up caring for them until the two chick's had left the nest. Why, you ask? Because I killed their parents with my intervention, and kindness costs naught but time. As an immortal with nothing to do, I had that in spades.

But I digress. I needed a gun, a pistol specifically. So, after my stint as a avian parent, I returned to the tomb, to my break. This break would include begging the crypteks to make me something, and meditation.

So, as I arrived and my official break began, I messaged one of the few crypteks awake.

"Honored cryptek Vekiopet, might I entreat thee?" I ask.

It takes days for a response, rather quick from what I gather.

"To whom requests my attention?" The mechanical voice of Vekiopet was dry, with a bit of curiosity and irritation. Best to make things straightforward.

"Honored cryptek, I am but a humble deathmark, in search of a way to greater serve our dynasty. I need weapons, to better eliminate the foes of the dynasty." I say.

"Oh? Is that so..." He stated. He paused, thinking. "This, I can do. What is it you require, deathmark?"

"A pistol, Honored cryptek. And perhaps a long knife." I say. The knife was spur of the moment, but I remembered that I had a knife in my old life, and my human side had always wanted a 'Cool' knife. So, why not ask?

"Such can be done. I will inform you when I am finished. Await my summons." He said.

"Of course, Honored cryptek." I say. I sat down, and began to properly meditate, awaiting my summons to the crypteks lair.
