After a while of fiddling, I decide to go roving. I had noticed it a while ago, but it was hitting full force now. I was... losing touch, I suppose.

My emotions were flat lining. I was loosing feeling, and it was disheartening. So, I slowly opened a portal, and began my walk, thinking all the while.

I wasn't tired of Anibeli, nor my job. In point of fact, I found it nice to be around her. But... by the dead gods, I don't know... maybe I just need time to myself. Me, a dark room, and a long period of uninterrupted silence. It sounded nice.

I emerged from my portal on the lower decks, and found myself in squalor and decay. The deck was dark, slightly messy, and blood stained the floor. I ignored it, and looked around. No place yet...

I began walking slowly, thoughts playing through my artificial mind, then going away to be replaced. I was barely paying attention, simply walking as I thought.

Movement in these corridors was sparce, from what I could see and detect. Mutant signs were here too. Not like ogryn or felinids, but proper Mutants, capital M.

But, I ignored it all. If something wanted to try their luck, I would skin them alive. Might even help stabilize my spiraling emotions.

Eventually, I found what I was looking for. A small room, out of the way, in pitch blackness. I opened the door, and a mass of claws and teeth came lunging out.

I sidestepped away, stepped back, and drew my gauss pistol. I fired, and struck the thing center mass. It screamed in agony, it's off-putting, too human voice fading as it slowly turned to dust. I portaled my pistol away, and walked in.

The things den was filled with bones, and worse. It's brood, I could her them in the corner. 5. I walked over and looked down. I took in their disfigured sight, ind felt not a thing.

I reached down, and grabbed one by the throat. I squeezed, and something snapped. I dropped it, and grabbed another. Squeeze, snap, drop.

Eventually, they were all dead. I moved away, and stood in the center of the room. Silence, and stillness. As it should be. My glowing ocular peered out of the dark, and slowly, I began to relax.
