Their Knight Commander was dead, their army had surrendered. All that was left now was to deal with their fat bastard of a king. I didn’t plan on delaying this any longer. As we stepped closer to his castle my thoughts from that ritual came popping in my head, further fueling my own anger.
My henchmen seemed to pick up on this; V curious about why I was making such a face. While Damian and Mordred looked at me concerned. Though they didn’t say anything. Once we reached the entrance I turned to my followers and began to speak.
“V, I want you and the others to stay here.” I ordered them.
Mordred was quick to deny my order. “No way boss, I want to see you deal with that useless king!”
Even Damian had something to say, which surprised me. “…. I want to be there at the end.”
They both were very determined on this …. Fine I can’t really say no to that. “Alright, but V stays here, and I won’t budge on that.”
V was against it and was already getting upset. “B-but...”
“Now now little V let’s not argue with the boss. I’m sure he has a good reason. We’ll keep you company in the meantime. ~” One of my orcs expressed while bending down to meet eye to eye with the little goblin. Always glad to see my minions get along with V so well and good job of him to keep them out of this. I don’t want them to see what I’m about to do next…
V reluctantly nodded, feeling a little gloomy but understanding. With that matter settled, me and my two henchmen entered the castle. As I expected, they still had soldiers stationed here. Based on their armor, probably more of their elite soldiers. Hah, couldn’t even send more than the Knight Commander to take care of the problem huh.
“What are you monsters doing in here?!” They demanded. Not expecting us to enter the palace. They immediately drew their weapons and were ready to attack but both Mordred and Damian countered in retaliation.
“Hah, these guys aren’t that much stronger than the ones outside!” Mordred yelled out happily, taking one out with the swing of his axe with a bit more force.
Damian nodded as he gave a soldier an energy-filled gut punch, knocking them out. It didn’t take long before they had finished the group off. Soon enough we had managed to reach the entrance of the throne room with little trouble.
As we stood at the door, I looked around our surroundings where it was filled with unconscious soldiers. Heh, I sure am lucky to have such strong and loyal henchmen. ~
Since I had a bit of an issue on reaching the door for reasons I don’t want to divulge, I had Damian open it for me. As the door swung open, before me was the fat king. He seemed to be in a bit of a panic, trying to frantically yell out for help.
“What are filthy monsters doing on my chambers?! Tobais!! Get over here and clean up this mess!”
But no one responded, infuriating the king further. “That useless little- Guards seize them!!”
Again, there was no response. I decided to deliver to him the bad news, wanting to do so myself. “No one’s coming. Tobias is dead and your soldiers have either deserted you or are currently out of commission.”
Just as I expected the pig of a king to believe me and we stood there in silence as if he was waiting for something, but nothing came. It soon dawned on him how bad the situation really was, and he immediately got up from his throne as best he could and tried to run.

…. I say try but his ‘running’ amounted to nothing more but him trying to pull his own weight off the ground as he wheezed like crazy and sweated all over the place. It was easy to tell that the useless king never trained for a single day of his life.
Seeing the pathetic display, Mordred stepped in and asked. “Uhm boss, do you want us to do something here? I honestly can’t keep watching this.”
I shook my head. “Nah, let the fat bastard run. I want him to feel as cornered as possible.”
Both of my henchmen looked rather shocked over my comment, but neither questioned me. I’m willing to bet they could feel the bumbling anger that was welling up in me. Seeing that fat king made it hard for me to keep it in.
Without another word, I walked behind the pig. It didn’t take much for me to keep up so I could afford to take it slow with my henchmen right behind me. Not like there was anything he could do about it.
We kept following behind, shaking our heads in unison over the pathetic display. I was almost tempted to just end it now. But before I could go through it, we managed to enter a particular room. When I managed to recognize the room, I was taken aback.
I gritted my fangs, my eyes fully fired up. We were in the same room that was used for that damnable ritual! In fact, right inside there were several fellow kobolds tied up and ready to be used.
Out of breath, the fat king started to yell out to the men who were making preparations while pointing at my direction. “S-start the ritual! And use it on that lizard bastard!!”
The men seemed taken aback but quickly got to work, rushing their preparations but I wasn’t going to let that happen. “You two, stop them now!!” I ordered.
They obeyed without delay as they took them down then men one after the other and restrained them. Seeing this the fat king fell on the ground in fear, as he cowardly put his hands together ready to beg.
“W-wait you don’t have to do this! We can work something out!!”
I ignored him as I let my henchmen capture the rest of his men as I begun to walk towards him. He tried to run but with some of my mana returned I effortlessly made a slant on the ground beneath his foot, tripping him up.
He fell flat on the floor and found himself unable to get up, how pathetic. “…. are you done?”
He turned to face me, shaking his hand as he continued to try to negotiate with me. “O-oh I know maybe if I offer you all the riches in my treasury!”
I said nothing as I forced the ground to lock his arms and legs in place. There was more desperation in his voice now. “Ok ok you can have all that and the people too. No, the entire kingdom!!”
I raised my claw as I look straight at the man, my fury starting to come out. “I’ve had enough of you.”
The king tried to speak but suddenly he started to choke, finding himself unable to breathe. It was like the air around his head was thinning out. “What’s wrong, can’t get a word out?”
He struggled as his arms and legs shake frantically while still locked in from the ground securing him. The expression on my face didn’t change as I continued to speak. “You know, the more I got to know you the more pitiful I found you to be. Now I get wanting to conquer and take control of what you want.”
I inched close to him until I was suddenly on top of his writhing body as he uselessly tried to move his head to get even a little air. It was at this point that his skin was starting to change color, getting more pale.
I continued, my emotions now exploding towards the pathetic man. “Having your Knight Commander do all the work for you while you sit on your fat ass comfortably. Forcing those slave collars on your people and worse of all trying to use a ritual to rob a creature of their mind?!”
I then spat at the ground near him, feeling disgusted by even mentioning his deeds. My two henchmen were looking at me, not sure what to say. But I was too focused to pay attention to them now.
“Your idea of conquest is pathetic. You can’t even call it conquering, all you did was convince yourself as superior by using cheap tactics to get what you want. Unless you could have them submit to you; mind, body and soul then you can’t say they have been properly conquered.”
I took out my sword and aimed it at him, deciding I had enough of torturing this pig. “I’m done now, I don’t want you.”
With a single swing of my blade I sliced his neck, blood splattered on the ground as the king stopped moving as he laid motionlessly on the ground. When I was done, I dropped my sword as I tripped off of his body and fell to my side, exhausted.
Seems constantly manipulating the air on his head had drained far more Mana than I had anticipated. I had already pushed my limits already, so this was too much for me to handle. I could already feel my consciousness fading from my mind being exhausted.
Guess this means my body will shut down for a while, I wondered how long I’m going to be knocked out for this time.
Those thoughts ran through my head as I can faintly hear Mordred and Damian run towards me.
