Flash

Flash is the martial art practiced by Finn Actoin. Its origins trace back to an unnamed young farmer who was repeatedly harassed by bandits. Lacking the strength or skill to defend himself, he discovered—whether by intuition or divine providence—that he could channel the full force of his musculature not into attack, but into retreat. By overexerting his muscle fibers to the point of structural sacrifice, he achieved instantaneous bursts of speed so great that ordinary assailants could not react.

Though the original account has faded into legend, the core principle of Flash survived and was later incorporated into broader martial practice. Traditionally, practitioners restrict themselves to releasing no more than thirty percent of their muscular capacity at a time to avoid severe self-harm.

Finn Actoin is the seventh recorded individual to surpass this limit. Through extensive conditioning and mastery, he is capable of utilizing one hundred percent of his muscular potential in single explosive movements—earning him a reputation as one of the fastest men alive. Flash does not operate from a formal catalog of techniques. Instead, its practitioners adapt the art to their personal physiology and combat philosophy. Even so, all users of Flash share defining characteristics.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

  Characteristic #1: Speed

Flash is reputed to amplify a practitioner’s speed by as much as sixfold. Those who attain true mastery are said to move with such overwhelming velocity that even transcended—renowned for perception beyond mortal limits—are struck down before realizing an attack has begun.

  Characteristic #2: Reflexes

Due to its extreme acceleration demands, Flash naturally conditions and sharpens a practitioner’s reaction time. Movements that would appear instantaneous to ordinary fighters are perceived with clarity.

  Characteristic #3: Leg Strength

The discipline places extraordinary strain on the lower body, leading to significant involuntary development. Regardless of intent, the legs of a Flash practitioner become disproportionately strengthened and reinforced over time.
