By the time Rulu returned to Blue Sea City, it was already evening. The rge advertising screens along the streets were continuously broadcasting Governor Suwen's earlier speech, and many people had gathered in groups, discussing the major incident that had recently taken pce in Blue Sea City.
"It seems things aren't going as smoothly as I'd hoped. These Rebel organizations can't become my strength. What should I do next? Without their help, it'll be very difficult for me alone to fight Governor Suwen, who commands an army."
Rulu pulled the car to the side of the road and sat inside, turning over possible strategies against Governor Suwen.
"Only five days. Gathering enough force to confront Governor Suwen in five days — that's still far too difficult." Rulu stared at the advertising screens on the street, watching Governor Suwen repeatedly provoke and swagger before him, and felt a surge of fury. He also recalled how he had been mocked and looked down upon at the Rebels' secret meeting, how even Captain Guan had not believed him, and how everyone assumed he was just boasting.
"You people — you really think I can't accomplish anything without you? Fine. Even if I'm alone, I'll do this. I don't need anyone's help. I can take out that Governor Suwen by myself!" A murderous intent bzed in Rulu's eyes, and in that instant, he made up his mind.
After eating something quickly, Rulu drove toward the Governor's Residence in Blue Sea City. Upon arriving nearby, he parked the car and waited patiently in the vicinity. Time passed slowly. The night grew deeper and deeper, and the streets were now empty of pedestrians.
"It's about time. I can start moving — but I don't know whether Governor Suwen is inside the Residence. I need to gather some information first." With that thought, Rulu got out of the car, found a concealed spot, and carefully surveyed the outer perimeter of the Governor's Residence. He noticed many soldiers standing guard and patrolling near the outer iron fence. Rulu fixed his gaze on a soldier who had strayed from the others, then rode the wind and appeared silently behind him.
The soldier heard a strange sound behind him and spun around to check. When he saw a figure dressed in bck wearing a white smiley-face mask standing behind him, he panicked and raised his weapon to fire — but at that very moment, the masked figure in bck spoke: "Quiet. I have some questions for you."
"Yes, as you command." The look of panic on the soldier's face vanished, repced by a calm, utterly unruffled expression.
"Where is your Governor Suwen right now? Is he inside the Governor's Residence?" Rulu asked directly.
The soldier answered, "Governor Suwen is here. He has been staying in the Governor's Residence these past few days and rarely goes out."
"What's the situation inside the Residence? How many soldiers are there, and who is protecting Governor Suwen?" Rulu asked again.
"There are at least a hundred or so people inside the Residence. General Feihu has been by Governor Suwen's side these past few days, overseeing his security."
"Do you know where exactly Governor Suwen is within the Residence right now? What are his daily habits?"
"I don't know. I'm only responsible for patrolling the outside of the Residence."
"Good. Close your eyes. Open them again in ten seconds."
The soldier immediately closed his eyes. Rulu rode the wind, rose into the air, cleared the outer iron fence, and entered the interior of the Governor's Residence. Ten seconds ter, the soldier reopened his eyes. He seemed to have forgotten entirely about the masked figure he had just seen, scratched his head, and went back to his patrol.
The interior of the Governor's Residence was vast — like a small park. Rulu had visited the Residence a few times before in the company of Mayor Qiao and had some familiarity with the yout. Using the cover of the night and the trees within the grounds, he slipped past the patrolling and stationed soldiers, making his way through the interior.
Along the way, Rulu used his Spiritual-power to control several soldiers, questioning them about Governor Suwen's whereabouts. According to them, Governor Suwen was currently resting in a vil estate to the southwest.
Rulu continued moving through the interior of the Governor's Residence, and before long he arrived at his destination. On a wide open stretch of ground pnted with all manner of flowers and trees stood an exceptionally luxurious three-story mansion, its interior bzing with light — clearly occupied. Around the mansion were approximately fifty armed soldiers standing guard, along with seven or eight humanoid armored soldiers roaming the grounds. The security was extraordinarily tight.
"Governor Suwen must be inside. I need to find a way to slip in — but with so many guards, how do I infiltrate without alerting them?"
Rulu hid in the grove of trees near the vil estate, studying the mansion while thinking through his options. He considered riding the wind through the air and nding on the roof to sneak in, but noticed figures moving on the rooftop — there appeared to be soldiers guarding it as well. This forced Rulu to abandon the idea of entering from above.
