Chapter Seven: Innocent Romance

She's so nice yet fierce, kind of like a Wyvern if I'm remembering what Nikola said about dragons correctly. Valentina bit her mochi. I can't wait to talk with them again. Maybe mom, aunty, and Elizaveta need help with the flowers? Oh no! If they need help with the flowers and I'm not there, then how are they going to get that help? Valentina's face darkened as she panicked. "Oi, you good?" Tomoe side-eyed Valentina, "No." Valentina shook her head.

Tomoe sighed, looking at Valentina. "What, dropped another mochi? I'm not getting you more packs. We're twenty minutes away from my place. I'm not turning around to walk forty minutes." Tomoe said. "I just thought about what if the flower shop needs help. How can I help with the flowers if I'm here?" Valentina whispered. "The men I sent to give your family compensation money are pretty expendable. They should be in Russia now. I'll just give the new orders to work at that flower shop. That way, they can call me if your family needs botany help." Tomoe waved off the issue, pulling out her phone.

"Really?" Valentina stared at Tomoe wide-eyed, "Yeah, it's not an issue. Yuzhen, get those guys to just stay and work for her family." Tomoe spoke on the phone. Now I don't have to worry about the flower shop. I can help whenever. Valentina smiled around her mochi. Elizaveta did say something about knowing if I'm in love. What was it again? Valentina tilted her head, looking at the sky. "Oi, puppy. You keep looking at the clouds, the light post is going to fuck you up." Tomoe ripped the mochi out of Valentina's mouth.

"Hey! That's mine!" Valentina pouted, "Well, you should've been paying attention." Tomoe chuckled, walking into a light post as she laughed. "Are you okay?" Valentina stepped in front of Tomoe, cupping Tomoe's cheeks. As Valentina examined Tomoe's face, the two began to blush at how close their faces were. "Y-yeah, I'm good. Don't worry about it." Tomoe palmed Valentina's face, pushing her slightly. "I'll get started on food prep. Go set up that laptop once we get inside." Tomoe looked away from Valentina.

"Could you help me with it? I never done something like that before." Valentina asked. "Fine, it shouldn't take that long. But lunch will take a bit longer due to it." Tomoe sighed. "Thank you!" Valentina smiled brightly, "Yeah, yeah, whatever." Tomoe walked ahead of Valentina. Once the two got to Tomoe's home, Tomoe went over to the couch. "Let's see what Yuzhen did with this." Tomoe opened the laptop, seeing that she needed to make an account for it. "Absolutely nothing. Alright then, should be quick." Tomoe sat on the couch.

I should put the groceries away while she sets up the laptop. Valentina walked over to the kitchen. Opening the freezer, Valentina saw that it was filled with sake. Maybe...the fridge? Valentina opened the fridge. Looking at the empty egg cartons, the coffee creamers, the vegetables, the sauces, and thepacks of cheese filling it. How do I put up the groceries? What do I throw away? Why is there so much alcohol? Valentina looked over everything.

"I'm done setting everything up," Tomoe said. "Eh? Oi, where the hell did you go, puppy? Do I need to get a leash for your ass?" Tomoe yelled, seeing Valentina in the kitchen. Tomoe walked over to the kitchen, standing behind Valentina. Tomoe poked Valentina, "Boo." Valentina shrieked, jumping towards the fridge in fear. "Meanie, you scared me!" Valentine turned around, jutting her lip in a pout. "You're one jumpy bitch. I thought that level of jumpy was reserved for terrible fictional side characters." Tomoe stared deadpanned at Valentina.

Valentina's lip began to quiver as her eyes teared up. "Hey, hey. Stop, none of that crying shit. The fuck were you doing anyway?" Tomoe looked over her shoulder, staring into the freezer and fridge. "Oh yeah...I haven't opened my fridge in fucking months. All that food is most likely expired. Luckily, those eggs and everything else I cooked were in the mini fridge." Tomoe gestured to the cabinet next to the fridge.

Seeing Valentina's eyes puff up as tears began to roll down her cheeks, Tomoe cupped Valentina's cheeks. "Hey, hey, hey. Shh, shh, shh. None of that. Stop crying." Tomoe wiped Valentina's tears away with her thumbs. "What do you need from me? What will keep you from crying? Do you want an apology? I'm sorry, 'kay? Just stop crying, puppy." Tomoe spoke softly, bringing Valentina's forehead to hers."O-okay." Valentina blushed, her tone shaky.

"Good, good. Now run along while I deal with the kitchen." Tomoe released Valentina. My stomach is fluttering, and my heart is pounding. This has to be what Elizaveta said about love. My face feels hot. Every time we're close, I blush madly. My legs feel shaky. And I just want her to hold me. Valentina walked over to the couch, getting on the laptop. "She's kind, gentle, soft, playful, caring, and firm," Valentina muttered under her breath in Russian.
