Anomaly A – the suspected serial killer that freaked him out on Day 1.
Oh, how Yu Zhiye hoped that he would never see this anomaly ever again!
He even wished that the young man would suffer an accident and become another no-name side character who got buried six feet under by the death angels.
In fact, anything was better than the scary conjectures he imagined!
Alas... the worst case scenario appeared.
The anomaly was back and he certainly didn’t look weaker than before…
Not only were his muscles much more defined, but even his temperament was far more pretentious.
Standing there with hands in pockets like everything happening around was none of his business, he looked at the aggressive crowd demanding answers like they were all clowns.
It really gave off that “I’m ready to do some solo-leveling face-slapping” vibe.
Yu Zhiye obviously wasn’t foolish enough to join that bunch waiting to get their faces slapped.
Instead, he honestly went to join his party of melon eaters.
“Eih! Big brother is here~”
“Yo Steve, finished burying your treasures?”
“Yep. I left everything together in that place. If you want it, go find it.”
“Yeah? Bwahahaha! Good thing I’m not Joy Boy!”
After joking around a bit, the topic turned to the peeps blocking the anomaly.
Jack: “Looks like that obnoxious bunch isn’t planning to let that guy off.”
Yu Zhiye was reminded of his own predicament days ago. “Jack, you’re… not going to go help him?”
Jack rolled his eyes. “Sheesh. There’s now little missy and you by my side. Do I look like the irresponsible type to drag my entire team into the water?”
“Besides, no matter how I think about it, that kid looks nothing like a poor young man waiting to reverse his fortune. Being nosy might even splash me with dirty water. No thanks.”
That confirmation settled Yu Zhiye’s heart.
Good. He wasn’t the only one to notice something wrong with that anomaly.
Others weren’t dumb. A teen who could survive outside for six days and return was definitely not a simple pushover waiting to get bullied!
They understood this, and so did the think tanks of that big team.
That’s why, even when the argument got heated, they didn’t dare to tear faces and instead went for the moral high ground.
Four-eyes Kwan adjusted his glasses. “My young friend, we’re all just trying to survive here. You seem to know a lot… It’s unkind of you to keep such secrets to yourself and watch the rest of us drown.”

Lackey B: “Yeah! Yeah! Boss is right!”
Kim Sungho: “Ohoho, I must agree with Mr. Kwan. It’s quite selfish and unreasonable to not care about the lives of others like this.”
Anomaly A coldly sneered. “Oh? Then what do you all have in mind?”
Kwan Minhwoo: “I suggest you share some... tips… for the greater good.”
“What if I refuse?”
“Madaraka! Think we’re really afraid of whatever trashy superpower you’ve awakened?! Tell us, or how about baldie and I give you a taste of our fists?”
“Now, now, there’s no need to get so worked up, Mr. Park.” Kwan Minhwoo placated the bad cop then turned back to play the good cop.
“My young friend, you see how it is. Not everybody likes speaking kindly… But I completely understand why you aren’t willing to tell us anything.”
“We’re not an unreasonable bunch. Everybody has secrets and we won’t pry too deeply. But at least tell us some basics, like how you, alone, got passed the quicksand safely.”
That four-eyes really had a way with words. Though some nuts are tough to crack, this anomaly actually gave in here.
“That isn’t some big secret. So I don’t mind give you a clue, as long as you all get off my back during my stay here.”
Kwan Minhwoo smiled as if his scheme succeeded. “Of course! What say everyone?”
“Ohoho, naturally, naturally.”
“Che. Who would want to come bother a pipsqueak like you? We all got better things to do.”
“Hurhur, that’s right.”
“Tch. Even if somebody tells me to, I won’t because I don’t get paid enough for this.”
“Boss’s words is my word!”
“My, my… don’t look at this miss. I’m not the type to look for trouble.”
Anomaly A scanned over everybody’s faces one by one and finally landed on the golden triangle watching the show from afar. “What about them?”
Kwan Minhwoo slyly smiled. “We can’t speak for them, but they don’t look like the type to bother others, do they?”
Anomaly A surprisingly accepted this and didn’t keep them in suspense any longer.
“If you all use your brain a little, you’ll realize the clues to survival are available in plain sight.”
“Oh? My young friend, what do you mean by that?”
“Why do you think we transmigrated to this place with clothes on our back? Really think they’re just for decoration?”
“Everything granted to us, just like our talent and all the resources at our feet, are our tickets to survival. Whether you know how to use it or not, that’s your problem.”
After passing out food for thought, the riddler was ready to leave, but Park Insu quickly blocked his way. “Not so fast!”
Some annoyance flashed through the young man’s eyes. “What.”
Kwan Minhwoo frowned. “Mr. Park…”
“Shut up, four-eyes! None of your business here!”
After rudely shutting up the good cop, Park Insu embraced his role as the villain. “Hurhur… brat, you’re the one who cleared the eastern temple?”
Anomaly A smirked as if he already guessed what tricks this bunch was playing. “So what if I did?”
“So it was you! Heh! Sneaky facker made me work for nothing! Now, I’ll give you two choices! Obediently hand over what’s not yours or else—!”
The villain never got the chance to finish his threat because a single glance from the main character forced what’s he was about to say back down his throat!
The next moment, the villain weakly fell to his knees with a face flushed like his throat was getting strangled!
Though the others didn’t know what was happening, when they felt the abnormal aura radiating from the teen, they all backed up in unison, leaving the poor Park Insu all alone.
Anomaly A smirked disdainfully at this. When he felt this was enough to teach this dog a good lesson, he restrained his aura and strutted away to the melon-eating team.
Once the man was finally gone, everybody breathed a sigh of relief.
“What in the hell was that…”
“Who knows. But it’s best to not provoke him.”
Everybody then went up to the kneeling man that was stiff like a statue. “Mr. Park…?”
That call woke up the man, but he immediately freaked out like a lunatic who’d just seen something horrifying.
“No! No! Get away! Spare me!”
A few men quickly held the panicking lunatic down.
“Insu! Calm down! Calm down!”
“Ugly mutt, quit struggling!”
“Mr. Park! Wake up! He’s gone!”
When Park Insu realized this, he panted like a drowning man and finally calmed himself somewhat.
Kwan Minhwoo stared at the bad cop with a serious face. “Mr. Park, what happened?”
That reminder made Park Insu shake again, but he quickly held his fear back and growled with a gloomy face.
“Madaraka! I don’t even know myself! Just know... that’s not a human! He’s a... monster!”
