(41)Chapter 1.1.6– The Mock Battles and Her First Battle. (Part - 12)

Kiana- I’m Kiana Eris, a pleasure to meet you too!

Then we have Kiana, who happily takes back her handkerchief and stores it in her purse, and says this as casually as one can be. Myra looks towards Roxy that is right next to Kiana, it seems she was waiting for Kiana to say something so that she can board Roxy.

Myra- Have you made a new friend Miss Noire? She does seem like a nice girl; would you mind fully introducing her to me?

Roxy- Miss Roosevelt, we just meet-

Myra- No need for that much formality in this type of scenarios, you can call me Myra, and you too Kiana, I can give you the privilege for such.

Roxy- Is that so? You can also call me by Roxy. As I was saying, I just met Kiana, in fact we had a battle to the death a few moments ago. Even though I have a great amount of latent potential, I was still defeated by her quite easily. Ah, it really seems I have to learn the turtle way if I want to have a slight chance at winning.

Myra- I saw the battle with my one two eyes, and I don’t think it went to that extreme. Miss Kiana sure did an amazing job, though, where did you get those scissors? I’ve never seen a weapon like that, nor have thought about using a pair of scissors for such an extent. You also seem to have quite the insight about people's strengths. How does that work?

“I did some adventure work, that's why I can somewhat tell how strong someone might be. And those scissors, well, that’s a secret of course!”

She flashes quite the smile at them right at the end. She sure seems cheerful to say this and once again Myra is taken back by how Kiana is acting. In other words, how Kiana's personality is.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.

Kiana- Also, you two seem to know each other.

Myra- That is correct Miss Kiana, me and Roxy, we have collaborated together a few times in the past. However, from that question you don’t seem to know who we are, correct?

Kiana- Erm, I’m sorry but, not really. This actually is my first time here, in this town. I got enrolled in this Academy but someone came to my village to enrol me here rather than me coming here and trying my luck.

Myra- (Well, her natural and casual reaction makes sense now, and if she really did adventurer work it can also explain her strength. Although, if I didn’t see her battling Roxy, I would not believe her at all as she seems quite fragile. The most fascinating thing is how extremely precise she is in seeing other people's strength, she was 100% right on her assessment. I do wonder, what else she can do... And those scissors, I have to find a way to know how she got them, they are way too high quality for someone who looks this poor.)

Myra- Unfortunately, I’m out of time, you see, I’m a busy woman. I bid you welcome to this town and even the Academy. Before I go, can I ask you where are you from?

Kiana- The middle of nowhere in a small village.

She was rather quick and from her answer, it’s more than noticeable that she’s not willing to tell her where she’s from. Although, Myra simply shrugs it off, she knows that pursuing any further won’t get her anywhere and it might do the opposite of her unknown goals.

Myra- I see, I won’t pry any further. It was nice to meet you Miss Kiana, you sure are different from others. It was also good to see you, Roxy. I hope we can work together in the near future, last time you sure did a spectacle.

Roxy- Yes, you are right, but it was more thanks to you that I was able to do so. I will talk to my manager about that, I will give you an answer once she has decided on something.

Myra- That’s good to hear, but I do have to get going. Goodbye and have a nice day.

  “Goodbye!”

Just as she has been doing, Kiana flashes her a smile that goes from one ear to the other while Roxy simply says it with her monotone tone of voice. Right after this, they also bid their farewells to one another, going their merry way in the process.
