(73)Chapter 1.2.8 – Not All of Them Are That Bad. (Part 1)

  A few hours ago.

Around the time when Kiana was with Myra. Taniah just had lunch and it’s currently looking for Alice so they can talk about Anya and Kiana's situation. While she was enjoying her expensive, well done, delicious food, a fellow member of the student council tells her something that makes her almost choke with her drink that she was conveniently drinking when it happened. Oh fate, you sure know how to be inconvenient, now do you? Either way, she was told an unbelievable story, one that relates to Alice and her unmeasurable strength, one that makes her get up and look for Alice because of it, but only after finishing her lunch that is. A woman needs to have her hunger satisfied, right? She also needs to take care of her hygiene after finishing her lunch, you know, brushing her teeth for example and- Alright, we get it! Moving on!

“Now, where can I find her? If I was Alice, where would I be right now? Post lunch training? Somehow that does not seem that far stretched but I don’t think she would be doing that today. After all, her class might be trying to recruit members…”

Early I’ve made a comment about fate being inconvenient, do you remember? Of course, you do, it was mere moments ago. Fate is doing its thing again but this time around, rather than being inconvenient it will be the opposite and luckily for Taniah, she happens to stumble upon Alice as she walks around the Academy. It seems Alice just had lunch as she was right outside of the canteen, the one that Kiana failed to discover.

“Good afternoon, Miss President, how can I help you? Do you need something?”

Taniah- Alice! How many times have I told you already? You don’t need to be this formal when we are alone! I mean, even if we weren’t, there still isn’t a need for that. Just call me Taniah! Sigh… Anyway, I was actually looking for you, so yes, I need your help.

Alice- You know it’s hard for me to switch like that. I was just having lunch with some rather “important” students, so I was not able to relax yet. But, go on, what do you need? You seem a little excited.

Taniah- Do I? I mean… Maybe I am? Who wouldn’t? Here’s the situation, a colleague told me this about you and I also have a few “news” to say.

And so, Taniah proceeds to tell Alice everything that has happened to Anya and Kiana's reaction to it, what the students then tried to do to Kiana, or in other words, they were framing her to make her out to be the bad guy of the situation. From the little time we spent with Alice, I think we can see how she will react.

  ........

  ......

  ...

“I should’ve broken a couple of bones, maybe then, they wouldn’t do such a stupid thing.”

Yep, Alice is quite pissed about all of it. It’s easy to understand her though, not only in the previous day a group of students bullied someone right in front of her, it was Anya in this case, for some reason they went ahead and did it again the very next day. To make it even worse, when they were bullying Anya, a brave soul protected her, Kiana was the one who did that as we know however, when they got their backs to the wall, somehow, they got their hands on summoning stones and used them on both of them, but luckily Kiana was able to deal with said summons. Then for the cherry at the top, they went ahead and lied to a few members of the student council about what happened, making Kiana seem to be the damn villain and bad guy of the story. Who wouldn’t be mad after hearing all of this?

Taniah- Alice, calm down! You’re scaring me… But I agree with your sentiment. I won’t say that I condemn one for being violent but in this case, that might’ve been the right answer. However, just like what happened yesterday, if you do something like that again I won’t be able to protect you. It wasn’t easy at all convincing them to let you go with just a warning.

Alice- I know that and I’m deeply grateful for what you did and do for me, it’s just that these people piss me off, immensely. Not only that, I don’t think you have an idea of how strong Black Wolf Fang are, those monsters are enough to tear you apart and in a gruesome way at that. If it was one on one you can comfortably win but three of them at once? Taniah, you’re a walking lunch for them.

Taniah- Really? I didn’t have an idea that they were that strong and vicious, but do you think they would allow the wolves to do something like that to them? That seems a little too evil, even for them, no?

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

Alice- The biggest problem is not that, at their levels they don’t have a chance to decide anything at all. If Kiana was not there, they would’ve dealt with Miss Pandora followed by themselves right after that. I can only imagine the fear and dread that Miss Pandora felt when those wolves were summoned. I don’t doubt Kiana's abilities at all but she sure does not seem strong. Because of it, I can understand your doubts about it.

Taniah- So I was not the only one that got that impression about her? From what Kiana told me, Miss Pandora is fine, but that’s only physically, I can’t say much about her mental state. In fact, I was actually thinking about meeting her and converse with her about all of this. For some reason, I have a bad feeling about all of this so I was thinking about getting her some bodyguards.

Alice- That seems the best course of action. I will go with you, I also want to talk to her, not only I want to make sure she’s fine, I also want to hear what happened from her. Maybe she did something that caused those students to do such a thing? She does not seem like a bad person but that does not matter at all for these types of people.

Taniah- I know that, I’ve noticed that it has been getting worse and worse by the years. If this keeps up, it will end up creating a massive division between the students, I will say 3 factions will be created from how everything is going. The uber rich faction, the rich faction and everyone else. The uber rich will rule those beneath them, the rich those who are beneath and the rest are basically screwed, if they are even allowed to be here of course. Ah, the future sure is looking dark…

Alice- I still don’t understand, what makes them so arrogant? What leads them to think that they are so superior to others? The vast majority of them are where they are thanks to their families. There are always exceptions, for example Miss Roosevelt, she is here of her own accord, not only that, she has already done so much for the Academy, the students here and even outside that they can only imagine what are her real deeds and astounding results from such. However, the rest of them, it’s all thanks to their “papas and mamas” that they are here.

Taniah- Alice, I understand your vision but don’t see reality from that perspective, it’s blinding you to it. The majority of them are just inexperienced, they still have responsibilities at the end of the day, after all, their “papas and mamas” businesses still needs to be taken care of. They are here for that purpose, to learn how to take over their parents or family businesses. Not everyone is at Miss Roosevelt level nor they need to be.

Alice- I know that, but that still does not give them rights to bully others for having less. I just won’t accept that type of behaviour, never. To me they are nothing but bullies, whether they have a business to run or not.

Taniah- You don’t have to accept anything; you don’t have to like their motives and or actions. It’s just that we can’t exclude reality just to be convenient to our narrative. Not that we are in the wrong, in fact, I do think the Academy will be much better without them but there’s nothing I can do about that. Let’s move on then, no pointing on keeping beating the same subject over and over. It seems our conversation somehow always ends up in this topic.

Alice- I wonder why? About Miss Pandora, do you have any plan? How do you want to tackle her situation? Just putting a bodyguard won’t fix the issue, you’re just putting a band aid on it basically.

Taniah- I know that and I do have a few things in mind, but I first need to talk to her to fully understand who’s telling the truth and whatnot. Although it seems you trust Kiana's side of the story rather quickly, why’s that? Do you know her? A fellow member of the student council did tell me that you fought her, but what he told me about it, it seems a little... Dubious to say the least.

Alice- Well, I have no clue what he told you but I hope it was the truth at least. However, I do know her and at the same time I don’t know her. I actually fought with her a few hours ago. That is why I can trust her that much.

Taniah- And here it is something that I will never understand! You fight someone and now, somehow, you are best friends with her! Congrats! That is the only thing that I can say to it! That sure is normal at all!

She says all of this with a sarcastic tone of voice in case you didn’t notice. She rolls her eyes back as she says it, her hands are going all around as she exaggerates what she’s saying with them. Alice on the other hand, she’s not amused at all, not even a small smile appears on her face as she sees this charade. However, I do understand their point of views. For someone that is not a fighter at all or at least someone that does not enjoy fighting, seeing something like that happening is a foreign concept, a few moments ago they both are at each other's throats then, at the end of the battle, they are somehow friends. Unless you do it, you will never understand what goes behind it.

On the other side, having someone fight you, somehow and for some inexplicable reason, allows you to understand everything about them or at the very least their current motives. Their bloodlust if they have any, how much strength they use considering how much they have, the way they fight and so on, small actions that allows you to understand the other party, after all, if your sworn enemy somehow does not have any bloodlust towards you at all, can you really consider him the enemy?

Alice- I mean, you do get to “know” the other person when you fight him. The way they attack you, how they use their strength against you, each smile, each blow, everything tells you how this person is, and from what I got when I fought her, I saw a respectable, genuine woman. Not only that, she won fair and square, she’s the real deal and I mean that.
