"Double fuck..."
Although the notebook and pen flew from him, they only suspended in midair in front of him—not a big deal—so Masa Ed became relieved and exhaled.
'That almost scared me.'
Moving on, Mada Ed about to retrieve the notebook became surprised as it opened on its own to its first page and as the pen flew towards it and starts writing on it.
’At this stage, I should just assume whatever is going on here is supernatural unless they are using advanced technology from that country, which I doubt...'
Masa Ed set aside the thought on his mind and looked at what the pen wrote on the notebook.
[Coward]
"Coward?!" Masa Ed blurted out in surprise because he didn't expect the word to refer to him, knowing fully well there is no trace of cowardice in his blood, not one bit.
"Nah, you must be trippin..."
Like he is talking to a person, Masa Ed turn to the notebook and pen duo. And like the pen can hear him, it once again scribbled on the notebook.
[Coward, you should respect my opinion. Don't forget I am here to help you navigate this place.]
Masa Ed chuckled after reading the written words that is the source of his amusement.
'Now its blackmailing. Why did I even care... Maybe I am one of those people that their intelligence lower under stress. Having a squabble with an object; how childish...'
Moving on... Masa Ed smiled at the pen and notebook.
"You are right. I am a coward."
He conceded, and on hearing his words of concession, the pen starts flipping midair in all directions randomly like its expressing its elation.
'Showing your true color, what a child.'
Masa Ed scoffed inwardly.
Unaware of Masa Ed thought and the fact that he has already profiled it as a child and will therefore treat it has such for the sake of smooth interactions going forward, the pen after its obvious display of jubilation of victory, returned to write on the notebook.
[Now, coward, listen. You have two minute left on this corridor before the lights goes out, you have squandered one already. If you want to leave and not get caught by the human butcher after the light goes out, you will tear a piece of paper of this notebook, and on it, you will write a riddle that its answer is definitely and only DOOR, nothing else. Then lastly, you will place the side of the paper where the riddle is written on any of the corridor's two walls at its two end. And don't forget to carry your lantern with you. I wish you goodluck, coward.]
After the pen wrote the last word, it immediately flew towards Masa Ed alongside the notebook, looking like the soul in it left to take a rest. And although Masa Ed felt annoyance when he read he has squandered a minute and he is still annoyed a little, he nevertheless caught it, and not dawdling at all, he first look around the corridor where its source of warm white light couldn't be found as its spotless white ceiling and spotless white walls aren't fitted with any, then after he carried the lantern he dropped in front of door 33 that he improvised, he made his way towards the wall at the end of the corridor that is just few steps from him.

"Tch, now a riddle is the problem."
Muttering in irritation as he reached the wall, Masa Ed with the notebook and pen in one hand placed the lantern that is on the other hand on the white floor beside him. And as he already knows, all he needs to do now is either remember a riddle that has door as its only answer or create one on the spot—and he must do this, including writing it on a piece of paper from the notebook and placing the piece of paper on the wall in front of him in less than two minutes.
"This might really be difficult. A riddle that has only door as its answer. Where should I even start from?"
Masa Ed became stumped, and he starts rubbing his chin as he attempt to calm his worked up mind, preparing it to create the riddle he needs—one that surely has door as its only answer.
'Well its kind of simple. I just list out the properties of a door and its relationship with people and other objects, and from the list I will select some of them that I can cleverly string together to form the damn riddle.'
"Ahhh... Its really simple, but the major issue is a door must only be the answer, nothing else. Fuck! That's tough, a window can be a door too." Masa Ed blurted out in frustration, before resuming his contemplation.
However a moment later, as he suddenly became more aware of the eerily quiet corridor, he subconsciously revisit the strange things he has experienced so far and envision those he might experience soon, and because of it, the feeling of fear and apprehension he thought was long gone returned to him with far greater impact that he felt a bone chilling sensation behind him that made him quickly turned around, thinking the lurking human butcher he is starting to imagine is behind him.
'This is getting nowhere...'
Finding nothing out of place, Masa Ed chided himself, then he took a deep breath to calm himself of the unreasonable anxiety that is getting in his way before he took his seat on the corridor's white floor.
"Alright, the last problem is to find one that distinguish a door from a window, but first..."
Masa Ed voice echoed in the corridor as he turned his attention to the notebook, opening it and carefully tearing off its second piece which is after the first piece the pen like it was possessed earlier wrote on.
Also, Masa Ed seized the pen by its shaft, and placing the piece of paper on the notebook, he starts writing what he has been able to formulate so far.
[I am a thing present in any regular human house. I am an object they fit on another object with at least one of my end usually fixed in place to the object. You go through me to get inside and you similarly go through me to get outside. In front of me, regular humans must at least slow down when I am serving my function. When you stand in front of me, I can lead you to a place you have never been. ...]
"Fuck yes! I get it."
Masa Ed became excited as he received a flash of inspiration that solved what has really stumped him—which is how to go about exactly distinguishing a door from a window, because he is aware there are grand windows like doors in certain super extravagant buildings that fit all his descriptions, and will therefore not make the answer to his riddle only a door.
Moving on, Masa Ed, licking his lip out of excitement and glee quickly added the inspiration as the last sentence of the riddle after he cleverly constructed it into one.
Although he is unaware of the time that has elapsed in exact since the white pen informed him he has two minutes left, Masa Ed was certain, he still have more than half a minute left, so he quickly went through his riddle, checking for mistakes and errors as he stand to his feet.
"...You go through me to get inside and you similarly go through me to get outside. Is the similarly really needed? Maybe I shouldn't have included it... Well, it doesn't matter, I just hope I can leave this shithole after this..."
Talking to himself, Masa Ed moved closer to the wall at the end of the corridor that is stopping further passage.
Once again, knowing fully well he still have little time left before the lights went out after which the human butcher will reappear, Masa Ed quickly go through his riddle, hoping their is no oversight.
Then as the white pen instructed, he turned the side of the piece of white paper where he wrote the riddle towards the wall, placing it on it, and as the paper touch the wall, it glued to it tightly, surprising him briefly before the light of the corridor went out suddenly, plunging the place into darkness that totally frightened and paralyzed Masa Ed that he remained glued to his spot with all his muscles denying his command and his spirit screaming.
And in the next instant, just as his wide open eyes saw the reflection of a burly and hairy figure like a bloody gorilla two times larger and taller than him with spiky set of bloody teeth—standing behind his reflection with his two of its four hands raised, both holding a butcher knife that their sharp edges will surely land on its shoulders, cleaning them cleanly; Masa Ed let loose his bladder first before his mouth opened wide for a scream that refused to emerged.
