The piles of armor surrounded me in piles, most of the armor was low quality iron with very little carbon content which made them brittler than my bronze. Another problem with the Yeti's armor and weapons was the purity. While carefully measuring amounts of certain metals and metalloids could make a good alloy the impurities in here where not beneficial. It also made them slightly easier to mold with [Geomancy] which seemed to have a hard time grasping metals and basically gave up on pure ones. When I 'moved' metal I really moved the rocks and such around it. As even highly impure metals where several fold more expensive to manipulate.

I had two 'theories' about why this was, one metals where more dense; hence, I was still moving the same amount just mass and not volume. The second one was that it had to with how concepts where perceived, if Metals where considered 'apart' from rocks and dirt, then perhaps that had an actual change on [Geomancy].

The first one sounded logical and made sense; however, doing the equations of density and mass for the compounds and the comparing them I didn't see a linear connection between mass and Mana expenditure. However that did not completely discredit the theory as their could be a highly complex/fluctuating equation that formed a non-linear connection.

The Second theory was with the information at my disposal impossible to deny nor prove. I didn't have a full picture of what the Conceptual Plains were or how they interacted with magic. I was also not a theoretical physicist, so I would not be creating a complex theory just for one unknown to completely dismantle it.

This all went to say I had no Idea what to do with all of this iron armor was basically useless, smelting it would turn the scrap metal into worse scrap. However now that I thought about it, maybe they could be used for fortifying or maybe Anastasia had some use for it that I didn't know?

I had to wait for Anastasia to resurface before I could confidently move with more zeal. In the meantime I used the more intact pieces of armor as a inspiration as I took two bronze ingots Anastasia had been kind enough to fix up a dilapidated smithy. The bed of coals roared to life with azure fire before calming down to a hot shimmer over the coals. At intervals a puppet would push down on the bellows. Heating up the ingot I summoned my class hammer and began to hammer the front plate of a basic armor plate roughly following the shape of the Yeti armor. I did the same for the back plate except the part for the tail which wasn't really important for the puppets.

  ...

  [Star Flared Chest plate]

  Rank Two Uncommon Armor

A simple chestplate based roughly on the design of a cave yeti design though missing the slots for their tails. The most unique part of this armor is its material, high purity aluminum bronze smelted and forged into shape with the aid of [Cosmic Flames]

Effects: [Fire Resistance] and [High Purity Alloy]

  ...

It was a decent piece which I began to copy, each one roughly the same though some had slightly stronger abilities or an additional one but nothing truly extraordinary.

The hyper focus ended when I was alerted that Anastasia was out and about. How did I find out? Her mad mental cackling that broadcasted its self while I was working causing me to nearly overheat the sheet of bronze I was working. Quickly I had to cool and redo the bronze sheet.

'Alright mind telling my you sound like an evil villain right now?' I asked her setting the half finished chest plate aside.

'I did it I unlocked a different type of puppet!' Anastasia responded excitedly.

'Wait I thought you couldn't level up traits?' I asked her questioningly.

'no I didn't level it up per say but after understanding the differences between [High Ogres] and the stock human puppets I can now make them, they cost two legs in order to cast but they also have a greater totem allowance.

Anastasia explained, at the same time I made it to the closest thing to a central hub in these ruins. Their I came across it, in the same way the human puppets lacked detailed facial features these guys had the rough layout of a [High Ogre] with a big bulky body and a stunted snout and tusks however it lacked eyes.

This one was a half step Rank Two, so technically weaker than an elite however it would hopefully have greater potential.

'So do you know how many totems you can fit in these guys?' I asked her as I looked at the small buzzing form of Anastasia.

'I don't know yet when I pulled it off I wanted to show you!' Anastasia replied.

'Alright well I finished the raid on the Yeti, they have iron weapons but really low quality to the point where it's worse than bronze. I said and all most immediately she dragged me off demanding to see them.

'oh their like weird red faced furry humans' Anastasia replied as she examined, and it was points like these that remembered that Anastasia was probably going to be pretty face blind when it came to humans and vice versa.

'I just have to make a silk puppet out of one of these guys!' Anastasia said as she was about to start dragging a few off.

'Wait Anastasia before you do that, we need to plan on what the next step is!' I halted the impassioned mad scientist.

'Ugh, fine alright let's go' Anastasia replied as she released her test subjects.

  ...

'Okay well should we pick off one at a time or should we attack both at the same time?' Anastasia asked me as she started pointing at points of interest for both factions.

'hmm, their seems to a chink point right here that would split the Ogres in half, if we fortify that position we could attack this side from behind...' I said while using my finger to point out the four settlements we had scouted that we would separate. The main problem was that even with the dark Im pretty sure that the other two would be able to see what was happening. They could go turtle which would be preferable, but they could decide that we where bigger problems then each other. I voiced such to Anastasia.

'Hmm, well the other two don't have such obvious weaknesses in their settlements, unless you think you can straight just drop the Yeti's cities from the ground?' Anastasia asked me and I had checked on it but the Yeti where probably one the smartest of the tutorial creatures only beaten by the Fungal Folk. They had created a runic construct that flowed from some unknown source that blocked me from doing anything but bending the metal.

'No they have someway to block out magical interference, I can't do anything beyond rippling the metal.' I explained.

'unfortunate but I think this is the best option though I think what we should do is fortify with the puppets while you muck up the Ogres that way we can clean up quickly.

'Alright do you need anything to prepare for it like for example making some battle ready Ogres?' I asked her as I could image they could act as large juggernauts soaking up damage.

'Hmm, give me a day and I can make about four, then I can continue to produce them' Anastasia said and Four was good but I wanted about a hundred however I knew I was going to have to forge them armor.

'Alright what armor do you want them wearing?' I asked her and she thought for a moment before answering.

'Give them chainmail with plate around them more non moving parts like their arms, shins, and shoulders, remember cutting off their arms are more dangerous than them getting stabbed in a non existent heart.

Nodding we both departed, I sighed, making chainmail was going to be a pain. First I would have to hammer out a large amount of wire and make the individual links for four Ogres.

Returning to my forge I place the half finished chest piece into the fire before I began to calculate the number of ingots I would need, and the general design. The chest front and back would be covered In chainmail, with a heavily armoured coif and neck guard. Both shoulders would have Pauldrons and the legs would be decked in heavy plate. It would be heavily impractical outside of these circumstances but oh well.

First I started off easy, measuring and hammering out the plate parts getting them nice and flat. From their I reheated and hammered them Into the desired shape with the hulking untotemed ogre standing for me to make sure everything fit into place. Once the plates themselves where ready it was time for the chainmail.

This time my skill whispered to me their was a better way than to forge them out of wires. Following the whispers suggestion I created a mold using [Geomancy] from their I liquidated some aluminum bronze and poured it into the mold. Using my magic I prevented the metal from shrinking or spilling out the mold. Easier said then done as I had to use very very precise mental control. Eventually the casted rings were done and ready.

From their on I began to measure out and cast the required sheets of Chainmail.

  ...

  Anastasia's P.O.V

  ...

I first made a ogre puppet as I had left my first one to Kien though I would hundred percent upgrade that one, but now I had decided what totems to put in them.

Looking over the materials at my disposal It clicked taking a pinky bone of a [High Ogre] I carved the long lines of runes making sure they made the Mana flow properly. Then I began to add on different parts as they came to me, I knew what I was crafting was a totem of [Ogre Strength]. I had an idea, I could input two, one in each arm to give them twice the strength of a true [High Ogre] alongside with some of my remaining hare bones I could make be able to move quickly and with easy.

Another spark of inspiration, what if I gave them the sword skills of a Draugur? I weaved a blueprint on how the totems would interact and how they would pull and collect Mana.

With this stacked amount of totems I would have to add a Mana attract totem that would help empower the amount of mana they would produce.

The Draugur swordsman totem would sit at the head, a magical attraction totem would sit at the heart, and the aforementioned ogre strength totem would sit at the arms pulling for the heart totem.

Crafting the totems of ogre strength took a bit of work to get right. The mana one was easy it barely took any effort, however after a quick double check I figured out I would need to double the mana output.

Merging the runes of the Mana attraction with that of a gecko regen totem would hopefully work, it took a while to get it to stop mass generating limbs and shedding them. Finally the weakest of the totems, the rabbits which would help them move from place to place while the Puppet commander led the other puppets. Juggernaut Skirmishers.
