December 4th, 1918

We started out the day with almost everything we need. We had enough firewood, enough food, and a rather abundant water supply. For another win, all of the boys are healthy. Not a single one have frostbite or are feverish. I must thank God for this. I would not have to be a doctor today. I could just be one of them for the next few hours. Unsurprisingly, this brought about work. We decided earlier to hunt most of today because we will spend the next couple days trekking north. Lawrence seemed quite let down that I did not have a warm tent for him to escape to, to which I remarked that he was beginning to get weak. He shut himself up. My friends are quite amusing when they want to be.
