Today, Henry got an infection from his wound. I know not why he got it, just that it is beginning to get rather bad. Angelo trailed behind me today as I was told of his ailment. I immediately went to his beside and tried my best to treat him with the things that we had. Again, the people told me that they did not have anything to treat infections, so I was on my own. I told them that at the rate that the village was getting infections, they really needed to fix that. They couldn't help but agree. I showed Angelo how to treat what I could with the iodine. It wasn't much, but it was more than nothing.

"I heard you were with Lana yesterday. I thought I told you to stay away from her. She's nothing but trouble," Maria said from behind me. I didn't see her from how much I had been focusing in the previous hour.
"Sorry, Ma'am," I told her, my accent showing, "It wasn't by choice. She talked to me. I didn't try to talk back. She was just there. I didn't want to be rude."
She smiled, "That's fine. I don't mind that. See you."
"See you," I whispered as she walked away. What has my life came to, holding onto feelings that I am not supposed to possess in this dull war?
