Chapter 37

  That Is Her, I'm Sure Of It!

  Ann:

  I look at Sophie-Ann and tell her yes I saw her. The woman's name is Deborah and she is the senior nurse in the OBGYN department and has been with the hospital for about 22 years now.

  Sophie-Ann:

  Louis, how old is Nicholas?

  Louis:

  He will be 22 in a few months. Why?

  Sophie-Ann:

  Is there a way to find out when she started working here and if it was around the same time your mom was pregnant with Nicholas?

  Louis:

  Yes. She started working here exactly 4 months after mom found out she was pregnant. OH SHIT! It wasn't long after mom's first ultrasound. Her parents called and asked if she and the baby were healthy. She never told them she was pregnant. She stopped talking to them all together when they came to the house one day and they tried to kidnap Dorian. Mom never talked to them again until the day they called when she was pregnant with the twins.

  Mom told them she was pregnant with another boy.

  Maurice, Ann and I hid the fact she was pregnant with twins and we hid Geneva from everyone at the hospital and in the pack. As far as everyone knows she is a distant cousin on the Dracul side of the family and with Lolly and Pop Pop living in the pack with Killian and Johanna no one has questioned it.

  Wayne:

  There is an old prophecy in the family about a daughter having very powerful twins. One a girl who has the ability to control every supernatural. The other a boy who has two wolves who is just as powerful as his twin. Together they will be King and Queen of all supernaturals. Bring an end to all wars.

  Ann:

  That explains why they are keeping a close eye on their daughter but not why they are kidnapping other powerful supernaturals. Unless they want to stop the twins' destiny or find a way to drain their power.

  Louis.

  We need to get you both out of here now.

  Rachael and Thomas walk in right at that moment. How they do that I don't understand and not sure I will ever want to understand.

  Thomas.:

  It's time to sign your release papers so you both can go home. We will take care of everything here. Deborah is up to something and we will catch her before she acts.

  Rachael:

  We have been watching her for a while now. We have enough evidence to get her fired but not enough to turn her over Alpha Jackson just yet.

  Ann:

  I can bug her office and her car without anyone knowing.

  Louis:

  No! I will have Henning tend to that. He knows how to get around without being seen. I will create a computer virus and get Henning to fix the computers.

  Thomas:

  That will work perfectly Lou. I see her being handed over in about a week.

  Rachael:

  I will never get used to your visions, my dear husband, but right now we need to get these 2 love birds back with their family before Deborah comes back.

  Don't worry about packing anything. We 3 will take care of everything including the leftovers and the food in the freezer and refrigerator.

  Ann take your parents home.

  Ann:

  WHAT?

  Thomas:

  Louis, you never told your mate that John and Doris are her parents?

  Louis;

  It slipped my mind. Sorry Ann.

  Ann:

  Oh it's alright. What is another surprise from this family?

  Rachael:

  We will stay here and pack while you take your parents home. Lou, you should walk your in-laws and mate to the car and come back and help us pack everything.

  Lou:

  Gladly,

  Ann:

  As we walk out we see Deborah lingering around, like she is waiting on something. She asks us where we are going and I tell her, my parents have been released and I'm taking them home. She says I thought you were an orphan. I say I thought so too but it turns out my parents have been looking for me ever since the car accident happened and we were separated. When they found me, they thought all of us should attend therapy. We are over our issues and they will be staying with me and Lou from now on.

  She looks like the rug was taken out from under her. Whatever she thought she was going to do, she will not have a chance and thanks to our little lie, what she thought she knew, has been discredited by me. I never noticed before but Sophie and I could pass as sisters but mother works better with our story.

  Deborah lets us pass. She looks defeated but she deserves it for working for such evil people. I wonder what she is going to tell her bosses? She made a mistake? She didn't have enough information to verify details? Oh well that is her problem, not mine.

  Lou walks us to my car and Nome is there to meet us. She says she got a link from her nephew that I may need an escort. I hug her and tell her thank you. Then Thoran walks up with something in his hand. It's a bug. Someone has bugged my car. Thoran holds his finger over his lips signaling us not to talk. He opens his link to Lou and myself saying, Lou needs to hurry back to the room and tell Rachael and Thomas to listen for someone scream and for me to keep up the act calling Wayne John and Sophie-Ann Doris or Mom and Dad. Do not use their real names at all. I nod my head letting Wayne and Sophie-Ann know we have a plan and just roll with it. They nod in understanding what I'm saying silently. Nome says well, my niece should we get home and let these men get to cleaning. We get in Nome's car and head home. Thoran will drive my car back after checking Louis’s car for bugs.

  Louis:

  Thoran only gave me 5 minutes to warn Rachael and Thomas. I only have 2 minutes left when I reach the room. I explained what had just happened outside.

  We head to the elevator and hear a loud scream. It's Tessa, she is the nurse on this floor who was just hired the day after Wayne and Sophie-Ann arrived. Just how many of the hospital staff are spying for my sorry grandparents? I will check Wayne and Sophie-Ann for trackers in their skin again when I get home. Right now I need to get Tessa before she can get away.

  I look at her and she is still holding her ear. I ask her why she screamed and if her ear is alright. Gives me a tight smile. I tell her I need to examine her to make sure she doesn't have anything in her ear or an infection. She shakes her head but I'm already leading her to the exam room.

  Thomas has already contacted the hospital security team. They are also warriors sent by dad to keep Wayne and Sophie-Ann safe. All I need to do is delay Tessa until they get here.

  I have Tessa lay on the table and I see a recorder in her ear. As I pulled it out. I linked Thoran telling him we have one spy caught and I'm waiting on the warriors to take her to the dungeon for interrogation. He says we can portal her to the dungeon together and portal back to get the cars. I tell him that's a great idea. I tell him what room I am in and I give Tessa an injection to knock her out.

  Thoran opens a portal and we drop Tessa in the dungeon where Dad is waiting for us. We portal back and drive the cars back home. It will take at least 24 hours for Tessa to wake up so there is rush into the interrogation.
