Chapter 19

  Back At School

  Jackson:

  Walking in the school our first stop was to speak to the principal Mrs. Helen. I explain that with Grayson's sudden disappearance it would be in the best interest if the children did not return to school. She tried to argue but it was no use. I would not put my children or the children left in my family's care in danger. I tell the children to go gather their supplies.

  I tell Helen that I know the teacher called Miss Sue lied about talking to girls and Grayson. She didn't seem shocked by my discovery at all, which told me she already knew about the lie. I told her I was going to have a little talk with this Sue person, but the first person I was going to talk to was Leon. He had taught my older children. I knew him very well and very straight forward. I always liked his no nonsense way of talking and thinking.

  Just outside Leon's class door I hear the boys explaining why they are not coming back. I walk in and Leon shacks my hand and I ask if he has a few minutes to talk. He tells me he has a break now and will be happy to answer all my questions.

  First I ask him about his conversation with Grayson. His story matches exactly what the boys told us and points to the last place he saw Grayson walk. I want to check that hall.

  Second. Why doesn't he like Sue? He tells me there is something strange about her. First she doesn't have an ounce of teacher in her, it's like she is on a mission of some sort, instead of being interested in teaching small children. She is too harsh on the ones she thinks is dumb or too smart. She doesn't understand that children learn at different levels. Not all kids learn the same.

  That alone set off red flags in my head. That this person doesn't understand children. The fact she does not one ounce of patience with anyone. I link Nick to look into this Sue person. I thank Leon and gather the boys and go check on the girls.

  As I start to open the classroom door. I hear a slap and Johanna cry and a woman saying "I told you you are not leaving my class or this school, I don't care what you say".

  I storm into the room, grab the woman holding her in place. I link Helen and tell her to get here now, that Miss Sue is going to the dungeon for an attack on a child. It is abuse and I won't stand for it. Helen runs in and sees the hand print on Jo's little face. She is shocked and says some words to Sue I don't understand.

  Four of my head warriors come and drag Sue to the dungeon. I plan to interrogate her later.

  We walked out of the class and down the hall that Leon said was the last place he saw Gray.

  Vlad stops dead in his tracks refusing to move and whispers for us not to go closer. I ask him what he sees. He says he sees a portal glowing black and it was made by black magic. I bend down to talk to him. I tell him I don't see it. I pick up a pencil and throw it where he is pointing, telling me it is right there. The pencil lands in the hall. He is swearing to me he sees it. I ask Geneva if she can see it. She says no daddy but I can feel something dark was here not long ago. It's fading but it was here and that dark magic takes days or sometimes weeks to fade out completely. I link Lyidia and ask her to come to the school to check it out for dark magic.

  Vlad:

  We arrived at school Daddy talks to Mrs. Helen and to Mr. Leon then we go get the girls. We hear yelling and a slap. Daddy bursts into the class and sees a woman and Geneva is holding Jo protectively. Daddy is pissed. His eyes glaze and I know he is linking someone. Mrs. Helen runs in and says something to the woman then the warriors come in to take that cruel woman to the dungeon. Daddy doesn't like using it but in this case she needs to be in there.

  We walk towards the hall where Mr Leon says he last saw Gray. As we turn the corner I freeze. I see a black hole. It's a portal. I know it's a portal because I listened while Yang trained. Daddy asked me what was wrong, I told him what I was seeing. He takes a pencil and throws it into the black hole. It lands on the hall floor. It didn't get sucked in, it passed right through. Yang says she can't see it but she can feel the dark magic in that space. Daddy's eyes glaze again. He tells us he linked Lyidia to come investigate.

  Lyidia:

  As soon as I got the link from Alpha Dracul, I opened a portal to the school. I quickly follow the directions the Alpha was giving me. I pass by warriors carrying and woman out. She reeks of powerful dark black magic. I see the Alpha with the children. I ask if I can speak freely. He tells me yes. I tell him about the power woman I passed being carried out, he tells me she was the girls teacher and that she slapped Johanna because they are now going to be homeschooled and wouldn't be in her class anymore. Strange for a teacher to act that way but the Alpha is handling the situation and it will not end well for that person at all.

  Alpha asks me if I feel or smell anything weird in this hall we are standing in. I told him there was a dark magic portal here. That will need Svens help to find out for sure, that Sven is like a seer but he sees past events. The Alpha links Sven and I open the portal for him.

  Sven:

  I got a link from Alpha. Lyidia opens a portal for me. I can't make my own portal. That's not my magic. My magic is casting spells and seeing past events. Seeing the past isn't my strongest ability because I don't get to use it often but I think that is going to change in the future.

  I arrive at the hall where Alpha, Lyidia and the kids are standing. Alpha asks if I can tell if a portal is here. I tell him it isn't here now but I can tell him how long ago it was here and if there is a specific person I need to concentrate on. He tells me yes. Grayson. He is missing. I'm shocked because Gray is the most powerful warlock we know that exists. I open my mind and concentrate on Gray. I see Gray, he's talking to a woman who is with Geneva and Johanna, he leaves and talks with Leon and the boys. He walks down this very hall as he steps a portal opens and he is sucked inside.

  I relay all this information to the Alpha. Who if asked there is a way to tell where Gray is at. I tell him unfortunately there is not. I'm not able to track people or portals. But I know someone who can and if need I would try to contact him.
