  Breakthrough

  Geneva:

  It was odd that Mom and Dad weren't up for breakfast. With all that has been going on we all knew they needed the extra sleep. Ryan made us breakfast. We had 3 meat omelets with orange juice. She even packed us lunch because we had fallen behind going to school so we needed to put in extra time in class.

  Today was a little different in class. We were combining Math and Science so we could get caught up. After school, we had training. It was different also. Aunt Nome, Tanchi and Lolly were teaching together. It was just Jo and I in their class today. Jo was working on her weapons and I to use my elemental power to make snow flakes and icicle targets for her to aim at. I made several snow flakes and icicles. I stopped them from falling. Just like I froze Vlad when I was 2 years old. I used my mind to move them so Jo's 10 darts would line up and hit all of the hundreds of snow flakes and icicles I made at one time. It was the first time I froze objects and mentally moved them so they would all be hit. I had a breakthrough! I can't control time but I learned I can control the speed of my abilities. I can speed it up or move them in slow motion. I was speeding up Jo's throws of the balls hitting the glass bottles and slowing them down. Uncle Thoran called me into Uncle Ashura's room. Uncle Ashura tells me he is going to shift into his dragon and he wants me to try to control Brocka, his dragon. This is my first time meeting Brocka. He is beautiful. His colors are like a peacock. Blue, purple, gold, green and even some red and white. Brocka asks me to come closer and I do. He gives me a hug with his tail and I tell him how beautiful he is. He tells me he is glad to finally meet me and tells me this is a test and he is not sure if it will work but he wants to try. He instructed me to try to pick him up and make it rain at the same time. It took a couple of tries but I did it. Brocka asks me how I feel and I tell him I have a headache and a little tired but I'm alright. He tells me the reason I have a headache and tired is because it takes a lot of energy to do what I just did and I am the only one in history who has ever picked up a dragon and I did it using my Telepathy. Being able to use Telepathy along with elemental abilities is unheard of and he and Uncle Ashura are proud of me. I hugged Uncle Brocka the best I could and kissed his nose. He tells me he has one more test, for me to bring Vlad in here. I find Vlad with Tanchi and Aunt Nome. I tell him he needs to come with me for another test I have to do. When we enter the huge room it's just Uncle Ashura, Vlad and I. Uncle Ashura asks me to try to make Vlad tell the truth about something but I must know it is a lie to tell if this test works. I only have one question I can ask Vlad that I know he will not be honest about when asked. I tell Uncle Ashura the question I'm going to ask. He agrees it's a good question and tells me to ask Vlad. I look at Vlad and ask him if he has a crush on Jo?. He automatically says no. His emotions and facial expressions don't change. There is no physical sign he is lying to me. I looked him in his eyes and told him not to lie to me and ask the question again. Do you have a crush on Jo? This time he is honest and tells me yes but he begs me not to tell her or anyone else. Next Uncle Ashura asks me if I will try to will Vlad to forget the question. I look at Vlad in his eyes again and say. Forget the question I asked you and forget the lie and truth you told. Vlad shakes his head and asks me if the test worked. Uncle Ashura and I both say YES at the same time. I thank Vlad and give him a hug and tell him “I love you Yin”. He hugs me back and says “ I love you too Yang. I'm glad to be your guinea pig”.

  The whole family comes into Uncle Ashura's room. All 33 of us were sitting on the floor and Uncle Ashura told them about all the breakthroughs I have had today. Pop Pop and Lolly hug me and tell me they are proud of me.

  Lolly had already told them about how I controlled the snow and ice and the darts at the same time. Uncle Ashura tells them that I can pick up Brocka and make it rain at the same time and how I can force someone to tell me the truth and make them forget about the question and the lie and truth they told. Vlad looks at me and asks me, what question did I ask him. I told him I asked if he liked his middle name. I told him he lied at first and I made him tell me the truth saying he loves it. He laughed and asked if that was the best question I could come up with. I told him I had to think something fast and that was what popped into my head. He said oh ok. Well now you know the truth now. I do love my middle name. Dad gave me a puzzled look and I just shrugged my shoulders. He smiled a knowing smile because he knew that's not what I asked.

  It was said that everyone had a breakthrough with their abilities as well. Vlad was taken to the woods where 5 portals were opened and closed. He was able to tell Thoran where they were located, who opened them and where they led to before the portals were closed. Nick was able to see through the closed portals too. Maurice was able to ghost travel through the portals that Vlad opened. Louis learned he has a type of sight and magic that allows him to see injuries and heal them without needing medical equipment. He can heal bruises, set bones and even see and heal some internal injuries. Catalina no longer has to use pencils and pens to draw. She just has to think about what she wants and put her finger on the drawing pad, this also works for her when she is being a sketch artist. Someone can tell her details and she puts her index finger on the paper and POOF, it appears exactly as the person described. Dorian can now use the elements to create weapons. His fire sword is awesome. Mom used her eyes and hypnotized Dad into giving her his credit card, of course she gave it back to him, but only after she made a few online purchases. Her ability only works if she is standing directly in front of a person. Dad learned to combine his vampire and fairy. If you can, imagine a vampire that looks like Count Orlok from the movie Nosferatu with black hair and black almost translucent fairy wings. They are long horizontal wings that almost touch the ground. I was a little disappointed that they didn't look anything like bat wings. Pop Pop used an ability he hasn't used in centuries. He hunted down a deer and drained its blood without using his fangs. That will be our dinner tonight after it is dressed out. The antlers will be used to make knife handles, the hide will be tanned and used to make whatever Cat or Dori come up with. We never waste any part of the animals. Everything is used for something. Lolly is using every fairy ability she has. She hasn't used them since leaving the fairy realm. Uncle Wayne and Aunt Sophie are pure wolves. They are training their wolves Roth and Serenity to be stronger and how to fight and defend themselves and they almost defeated Uncle Thoran and Hynes. Ryan is a mentalist and can read people's minds which is awesome. She can also fight and she was able to avoid getting hit because she read Aunt Nome's mind and knew her next move before she threw a punch or kick. Killian was very impressive too. He can control a space. He can make a room larger or smaller and can slow time down like Uncle Thoran. Jo has now upgraded from little toy weapons to more dangerous ones. No more Nerf darts and foam swords. Now it's hard plastic tipped darts and wooden swords and even some martial art weapons, plastic nuncucks, a blow gun, fans and a staff. Watching her is like watching Mortal Kombat in real life. Eric, Lexie, Wren and Brenton still are too weak to start any strenuous physical training so they are doing low impact exercises to build up their muscles and strength. They are getting stronger every day and thanks to the high protein meals and extra snacks, they are gaining weight and looking more healthy, instead of walking skeletons. It's now dinner time and after dinner is our family meeting with Brenton. I'm curious what more he has to tell us.
