in their knight training suit lena and edith spent the entirety of the morning doing different sets of exercises to build their stamina and strength under the careful watch of joris , completely out of breath both were lying on the grass outside , edith fixing her short golden messy hair asked " I am confused why bother learning how to use this sword since guns like revolvers exists " joris answered with a laugh " indeed it is true that guns are far more superior than swords but not these ..these swords are far more powerful than you imagine they enhance your strength and speed you become faster than a bullet and stronger than bull as for their special abilities that I wouldn't know " lena stood up " cat forgot to tell us about that sigh and how are we suppose to learn those abilities if nobody knows them " joris smiled " do two more sets of the same exercise and you are free for today "

lena unfolded the map and analyzed it - this world is similar yet different from my world in many ways thorne kingdom is on the west continent in the east continent there is the great desert and beyond it there is the nation of mountains and the islands of fire and winds of course I am sure that this is not there real names more like nickname - lena swept her eyes from the east to the south directly under the west continent she saw a word written " ELVES-LAND" - from what I remember as a child I was told that during the third age an era known as the fall in which the world was plunged into darkness thick black clouds covered the sky for more than a century , horrible creatures emerged bringing with them illness , during this times many empires fell and elves fled to the south the third age ended with the appearance of the twin goddesses this happened roughly 1700 years ago meeting an elf is impossible that is why edith is special she is half-blood she is child of pleasure born from the union of a man and an elf nobody knows her true nature except for some since no human met an elf they don't notice her ears as for her relation with the king it is completely covered after all she isn't the queen's daughter who would have thou - lady bridget keeping her gentle eyes on lena finally spoke " do you need anything else my dear " lena lifted her eyes from the map " no thank you I am fine "
the twin goddesses are the most worshipped gods across the world , the duality is a key core of it's conceptthe opposite of a profound truth is another profound truth "KTISIS" the goddess of creation , birth and light and "APOLEIA" the goddess of destruction , death and darkness .
the calendar used by the twin goddesses believers is divided in two the sun calendar and the moon calendar the former have 12 months and each month have between 30 to 31 days the latter have 12 months each month have between 29 to 30 days , every year the months move which is why both calendars never share the month number or day , on monday all believers must gather together , during that day lena went to saint loise cathedral with her two sisters and ser joris , during monday the cathedral was only used by the big fishes of the city such as the mayor and the representative of different political parties , noble families and self-made millionaires , common people go to local churches on this day of the week .
lena sat listening to the priest while her eyes analyzed the two statues behind him two beautiful women both hidden under a hooded cape behind them was a symbol a sun surrounded by stars and half-moon inside the sun -I never paid any attention to religion back on earth my family are strong believers of the goddesses to be honest I don't think there is a god and even if there was I don't think he cares about us the misery of both worlds proves it but I must act as if I care after all I am lena for now - as the priest ended his sermon everyone stood up and prayed " May the goddesses bless us Amen " just then lena saw an extremely beautiful women hidden under a black veil only her beautiful black lips were visible on her white milk skin standing near a door before disappearing when every body began leaving the cathedral lena walked to the door where the mysterious women was followed by edith " hey where are you going " they entered the door and followed a corridor arriving at an open area a fountain stood in the middle suddenly a door on the opposite side opened three figures appeared lena grabbed edith by the hand and took cover behind a pillar the old priest and the man with long blue hair were deep in their conversation " we have not been able to figure out their plans yet " the women in a white dress and long pink hair followed them silently , lena took a door that led to stone stairs it's as if she knew where to go after what seemed an eternity they both arrived infront of a massive door in the middle of the dark place where strange fog that covered the place lena felt strange chill " why did we come here lena and what is this place " edith wore a confused expression suddenly a voice from behind spoke " this is no place for you to be here my ladies " both lena and edith jumped out of fear " so what brings you down here " edith answered quickly " we were admiring the beauty of the cathedral and we got lost " the young priest with blond hair and cold smile took a step closer his facial features give a feeling of unease " well I should guide you back to public space " after leaving lena and edith found cat and joris waitting for them outside .
