Davie couldn’t believe how oddly humble Chronos’ place was, though it felt humble – looks could be deceiving. Chronos lowered Davie onto a shelf.
“You will stay put here” said Chronos, “don’t you dare think of escaping while I’m around!”
Chronos then headed towards his den as he inputted the security code. Davie could see how complex the security system was.
“What are you going to do with me?” asked Davie.
“Thought about destroying you, but then again you could be useful for other chores” laughed Chronos.
Davie didn’t know what Chronos meant by that. All Davie knew was that he was Chronos’ prisoner for the moment. Chronos could tell that Matthew and Havana lived close by and knew they were going to be a threat to him very soon.
“Uh, those two are the more competent ones that think they can go after me” laughed Chronos.
Chronos then got onto his ship’s computer and began to input their names into his database. It was revealed that Matthew Kidd was a fellow rogue time traveler just like himself – but unlike Chronos, Matthew didn’t get that far. With Havana, she is the descendant of Bibi Caan the notorious Jewish Orthodox mage who used Abaddon the golem.

“Mmm, very interesting background” thought Chronos.
Chronos could tell that Havana could no doubt use Abaddon in the near future if she wanted to, as a means to rescue Davie if she wanted. He would have to take note on the golem’s shapeshifting abilities. Meanwhile for Havana, she arrived home and headed into her room while her father Carmal rested. She immediately began to send text messages to Thad and his guardian Matthew.
“You copied me here too?” asked Thad in a text message.
“Hey, your guardian stated it was okay for me to do it” replied Havana.
Thad didn’t seem to enjoy being forced to be tagged along – he wanted to not even bother with Davie. But so long as Matthew was involved he had no choice. Matthew was just sitting down for some dinner with Thad and Numerious the Robo Monk.
“So, what happened to bringing home a tiny robot companion?” asked Numerious.
“Apparently a rogue janitor took Davie in” replied Matthew, “I think he might be a fellow time traveler like myself.”
“Interesting, he must have infiltrated the Academy to gain access to that tiny robot” replied Numerious.
Thad knew he would have to be pulled into the next mess with his guardian over the tiny robot. For now, at least Thad and Matthew got to enjoy a slice of life together with Numerious. Davie would have to wait, as for Davie the first order of business for Chronos was to dust the kitchen area. Chronos wanted to see if he could use Davie as a spying robot, he would have to learn how to reprogram Davie first.
“I think you will be useful for hard to reach places” laughed Chronos, “maybe I might keep you around after all.”
Chronos knew someone like Davie would come in handy – but it would be a price of Davie’s own servitude. As for Thad, Matthew and Havana preparing a rescue mission that would be for another time to be told.
