EXT. DOCKSIDE -- EVENING
Neri: Here we shall find another. A bad one. One who's been here a long time.
Everyone in the car looks emotionally beaten down, save Del.
Robert: Should we take a break? This is draining.
Del: You have limited time. You're mortal now.
Almost all of them get out, except Robert and Blade. Robert rubs his face.
Robert: Oh, this is awful.
Blade: No offense, Robert, but... it sounded like it all could've been avoided by picking your friends more carefully.
Robert looks up at her, very put off.
Robert: Aren't you supposed to be the sensible one?
Blade: Compared to you guys, maybe...
Robert: It's just... I'm just... well, no offense to you, but what- what do you know about our job? You're no god yet.
Blade: That's true, but if I'm remotely understanding any of this, neither are you.
Robert looks off in the distance, and raises his eyebrows, surprised at the point she's just made.
Robert: Also true.
Robert looks down, and thinks for a while.

Robert: I'm a little afraid of what's gonna happen to you.
Blade looks somewhat frightened at this.
Blade: What do you mean?
Robert: I'm just... not sure how much authority I have right now, if any at all.
Blade facially winces.
Blade: I'm not sure what to do about that.
Robert: Don't have to, I don't expect you to, but... try to imagine it from my point of view for a second. You go from this position of power, where you could change things you didn't like about the world, or at least the world around you, and then you go to... this. I'm sorry, I know it sounds terrible, I can't phrase it any other way.
Blade: Didn't you give me a speech about that? 'You can make a difference, but only in the physical realm', right? And that- that's with you using your abilities. That's not something that everybody has.
Robert: Yeah, you're right. I guess I was just, echoing the things I've been told to believe. I've gotta take these things with a grain of salt. Try things out for myself before believing someone at their word, no matter who they are.
Blade: I honestly don't think I've had that problem. I've always been careful with who I listen to.
Del: Robert! Blade! Come on!
They both listen immediately. They both hop out of the car.
Blade and Robert speed up.
They all stand in a row atop the docks.
Someone rises out of the water. A beautiful woman. She is naked. SHe leans on the docks, studying them all, especially Robert.
Del: Whoa-ho-ho.
Neri: Del! Show some restraint!
Del looks harshly at Neri, then his expression softens.
Del: You're right. (to the Temptress) I apologize.
The Temptress waves the thought away.
Temptress: Think nothing of it.
Robert: We need you. You're one of the first ones here
Temptress: I know.
She beckons to Robert.
Temptress: I want you, for a moment.
Robert looks to the rest of his team with a ridiculous, open-mouthed smile. Most everyone else looks quite envious, squinting their eye at him. Robert respons to the Temptress.
Robert: Okay.
Robert dives down with her.
The Temptress leads him down, farther into the deep, Robert only too happy to follow.
A large building appears, and she floats just outside a steel door, awaiting him. When he catches up with her, she opens the hatch, and water floods into the decompression chamber. They both enter, her closing the hatch, and the water begins to drain.
Robert: What were you planning on telling me?
Temptress: Nothing. I want to gain your trust, Rob.
Robert: You've got it.
Temptress: No, not yet.
Robert squeals. The Temptress watches him with a suddenly curious look, as if she's got the wrong person.
Temptress: Are you... experienced?
Robert: Ye-no.
Temptress: Oh, dear.
Robert: What? What 'oh, dear'?
Temptress: It's... nothing. I thought you would know. Well, no matter.
She presses a button.
