Walking in the direction of the inn I soon found it at the end of the street. It was a two story high building made completely out of wood. Above the broad wooden door is a sign with a beer mug on top of a bed and some words below it. Quite strange to look at but I guess I'm not one to judge. I never really had a sense of art myself after all.

  Going through the door I walk up to the counter on the left side of the room, next to a flight of stairs. Behind the counter stands an old man who looks like the innkeeper. He has brown but slightly greying hair, a brown full beard, two bear ears instead of human ones and quite a large build even when compared to the other people in this town. His body is also really well-built, broad shoulders and quite some muscles. To be honest, he looks really intimidating.

  "Welcome, little miss. My name's Jim and welcome to my inn, Fergal's sleeping beer. If you're wondering why it's not called Jim's sleeping beer, that's because I inherited the inn from my father. Anyway, what do you want?" (Jim)

  "Umm, I'm Celina and I'd like to have a room for the night and something to eat." (Celina)

  "A room with a single bed'll be 25 bronze per night. What do you wanna eat?" (Jim)

  "Do you have something without meat?" (Celina)

  Yes, I'm a vegetarian dragon. Got a problem with that?

  "Well I can ask my wife to patch something together. Just wait a second." (Jim)

  After waiting for a minute or so the innkeeper came back.

  "The food will be ready in about 30 minutes. The room will cost 25 bronze and the food 15 bronze, so 40 in total." (Jim)

  "Ok." (Celina)

  Taking out the money from a pouch which I got with the quest I hand Jim the 40 bronze coins. He puts the money in a pouch hanging at his waist and gives me a key.

  "Your room is right up the stairs the second room on the left. If you want to you can wait there and I'll get you when the food is ready." (Jim)

  "I'll wait there, then. Thank you very much." (Celina)

  "No problem. If you need anything I'll be right here." (Jim)

  After nodding at Jim and saying thanks once more I walk up to my room.

  "I think he said the second door on the left, right?" (Celina)

  I open the door with the key he gave me and walk inside. The room is quite spacious, or at least bigger than my room on earth. It has one window, a bed, a table with two chairs and a closet. Not a lot but it's just how I like it. I hate it when a room is too cramped.

  Sitting down on the bed I activate the superior senses skill for my hearing. It's time to find out some stuff about this world!

  So, after about 25 minutes of listening in on various converstations I found out that this world is called Meredith. There are two known continents, Ozira and Nitrin, with a total of nine countries. Ozira, which is the continent I'm on right now, has two countries and Nitrin the last seven, even though Ozira is bigger. I'm currently in a town called Garen's Well, which is the second biggest town in this country Etreien. It's a country full of demihumans and demons and the currency here is called chronos. There are gold chronos, silver chronos and bronze chronos, although most people just say gold, silver or bronze. One gold is worth 100 silver and one silver is 100 bronze. Anyway, Etreien is apparently at war with its neighboring human country Askil and there's even a demon lord and four summoned heroes! Maybe they're from earth, too?

  Oh, and if you wondered how this town is surviving without a river or any fields around it, they're apparently trading with some kind of rare stone that can only be found here. One kilogram is apparently worth a couple of gold so they're quite rich.

  Now to try out something I forgot when I checked my skills, which is to check what each stat does. Maybe they do something completely different than normal, who knows?

  "Stats." (Celina)

  "I guess I'll just start from left to right." (Celina)

  "Yeah, Mhm, ok. So it's an established fact that I'm a cheater now, huh? I won't even comment on this anymore. Too mentally drained already." (Celina) [AN: me too]

  After finding out what I wanted to know I walk out of my room and down the stairs in order to not bother Jim. I sit down at one of the tables at the back of the inn and wait for about five more minutes until my food is ready. Jim walks over with a plate full of steamed vegetables, some yellow sauce, which looks like sauce hollandaise, a sunny side up egg and some bread.

  "Here's your food, little miss." (Jim)

  "Thank you very much." (Celina)

  I take the silverware from the table and start to dig in. I finish in about 20 minutes and walk back up to my room in order to sleep. A lot happened today and I'm in need of some proper rest.

  "OH MY GOD!" (random guy 1)

  "Ugh." (Celina)

  "RUN!" (random woman 1)

  "Hmm?" (Celina)

  Why is everyone so noisy outside? I just wanna sleep... wait, run?

  "THEY'RE COMING DOWN!" (random guy 2)

  They? Coming down? Who are they and what's going on outside!?

  I jump up from the bed and look out the window. There's still some light out there but the only thing I can see are people running around in panic. Nothing dangerous there so what's actually happening? Maybe Jim knows what's going on outside?

  I run out of my room and down the stairs where I see Jim talking with a woman that looks to be the same age as him and a girl that looks to be about my age. The older woman has a slightly wrinkled but still quite beautiful face, black cat-like eyes, long black hair, a pair of black cat ears and a black bushy cat tail. She must have been a beauty in her younger days.

  The younger girl has 2 light blue cat ears and a light blue cat tail. She has shoulder-long hair which is also colored a light blue. Her eyes are also cat-like but one of her eyes is red while the other one is a bright gold. She's a crying mess right now so whatever's happening outside is probably really bad. They haven't noticed me yet so I just decide to listen in on their conversation.

  "Don't worry Rinea my dear. Everything will be alright, I swear I'll protect you both. (Jim)

  So the younger one's called Rinea, huh? I wonder who those two are to Jim. If he's saying something like that they're probably family, right?

  "Please don't go out there honey. Let's hide in the cellar until it's all over. (Older Woman)

  "That's right Grandpa *sniff*! Don't go out there!" (Rinea)

  Oh, so she's his grandchild, then I guess the older woman would be Jim's wife judging by the way she calls him?

  "No Kameko, if they land the whole city will get wiped out so it's no use. I'll stop them with the help of the others." (Jim)

  Well I wanna know what's happening outside so I guess I'll just interrupt their conversation now.

  "Umm, Jim what's happening outside right now?" (Celina)

  "Hmm? Oh, you're that girl from before, Celina right? Well a huge meteorite will soon land on the city. Some smaller ones already crashed, didn't you hear them?" (Jim)

  ...What? Meteorites!? And some already crashed!? How the heck didn't I notice something as loud as that!?

  "If I were you I'd evacuate but that's probably already too late now. Me and some of the stronger people in the town are going out there to stop them so it'd probably be better if you just stay here with Kameko and Rinea and hope for the best." (Jim)

  "Y-yeah, ok." (Celina)

  "I need to go now, the others are probably already waiting for me. Goodbye Kameko, Rinea." (Jim)

  "Please come back safe honey." (Kameko)

  "Don't worry, I will." (Jim)

  Jim hugs the both of them before walking out of the inn. M-maybe I should go out to help, too? I mean I'm a dragon and I have all those cheat-like abilities, it's just that, you know? Meteorites are scary. Ah, screw it. If they fail I'll die anyway so I might as well just go out there and try to help them however I can.

  "Your name is Celina right? We should go and hide in the cellar just in case one of the smaller meteorites crashes into the inn." (Kameko)

  "Sorry but I'm not staying here. Limiter off." (Celina)

  I deactivate my limiter and time seems to be slowing down. Heck, the both of them aren't even moving anymore. For safety reasons I create footholds below my feet. I don't wanna destroy the inn just by walking after all.

  I run out of the inn and up above I see one hell of a meteor just a couple of kilometers above ground. How big is that thing!? It's at least as big as the whole town!

  But where is Jim? I can't really just search the whole town before that thing crashes. Maybe I should just wait until they do something? Or just go at it alone? The early bird catches the worm or something like that, right? So how should I do this? Maybe just punch it like S****** from O******* man? Nah, I don't want the debris to destroy the town so maybe I should just burn it down with my Fire Breath? Or maybe I'll do both! Ok, so first I'll smash it and then I'll disintegrate it with a full power Fire Breath. It should probably work out. Let's do this!

  I gather strength in my legs and jump up at the meteor. I arrive in an instant and punch with my full strength. The meteor shatters and I create a foothold which I use to propel myself back down to the ground. Looking up upon landing I confirm the damage I did.

  "As expected that's quite a lot of debris. Better do this fast before they get too close." (Celina)

  I take a deep breath and use a Fire Breath with 100.000 MP/sec.

  BLAAAAAM

  My Fire Breath covers the whole sky and the debris disintegrate into dust.

  "Guess that's that. I wanna get some sleep so I'll let the others handle the smaller meteorites. I hate waking up right after falling asleep." (Celina)
