Thank you to everyone who has been responding to the polls at the end of the chapter, and commenting on my chapters! It’s been awesome interacting with all of you! As of writing this post this story is now number 10 on the Deck Builder Tag Rising Stars list, which is awesome! If you have not yet, please drop a rating if you’ve been enjoying the story - it boosts the story in the algorithm and gets it in front of more readers! There aren’t a lot of Deck Builder stories on Royal Road in comparison to other genres, it would be awesome to get the sub-genre some visibility!
Roughly two weeks ago I posted a poll asking about Lore Drop posts (below Chapter 29: A Monster in the Deep), and the majority of responses indicated they wanted to learn more about the world Jacob and Rama live within. Therefore, I have decided to release Lore Drop posts in between regular chapters on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays! These Lore posts are a lot less time intensive to write, and will give me a little breathing room to build a stronger backlog while still giving all of you readers something to immerse yourselves in the world. Every Lore drop post will be written from an in-universe perspective, and are From the Files of the Card Enforcement Agency.

Speaking of a Backlog, this is a good time to mention that I have a Patreon! For those who have really been enjoying the book that is the best way to support my work, and it features behind the scenes content about how I write and what I’ve been up to as a writer. I am working on constructing a better backlog to post onto the Patreon so supporters can read in advance, for now it has all of the first drafts of each chapter - which has roughly 5-10k more words than the officially posted chapters - and a backlog of Five Future Lore Posts will be posted on Friday! As I build a backlog they’ll get more posted there, and the Patreon is the first place I will be posting chapter drafts the moment they are completed.
If you’ve read this far, thank you so much for reading my story - I look forward to releasing more chapters and growing the series with all of you! Comment below something you really want to learn more about, and I might add it to the list of topics for future Lore Posts! Our first Lore Post will go live this Wednesday, December 31st, at 5pm PST and will cover Creature Cards.
