Zzzzt... Rumble!
The 18th Layer of Hell, which had been calm for less than a minute, suddenly began to shake violently.
It wasn't an attack from demons, but came from overhead.
The ten-meter diameter hole Slayer had just punched through was starting to show eerie purple cracks at the edges. That was Spatial Turbulence.
Because the time flow and spatial rules of each layer of Hell are different (e.g., Steamer Hell consists of high-temp distorted space, while Ice Hell is frozen space), now that they were forcibly connected, the conflicting rules were causing a violent rejection reaction.
Rubble wasn't falling down anymore; it was flying upwards, defying gravity. Visible black lightning appeared in the air.
"Crap! It's a spatial collapse!" Daoist Singularity's face instantly turned whiter than paper. "Big Hero! That shot of yours was too hard! You broke the 'Keel' of the Underworld! Now the eighteen layers of space are going to stack together and flatten like a pancake!"
Slayer looked up.
He also sensed something was wrong. The huge hole overhead was squirming and shrinking like a wound, spewing chaotic energy storms.
He raised the BFG, appearing to consider whether to give it another shot.
"Don't! Absolutely do not shoot!" Singularity was so scared he almost lunged to hug the gun barrel. "Shoot again and the server will really explode!"
"Big Hero, hold the line for me for two minutes! I'll Apply a Patch!"
Singularity cut the chatter. From his massive backpack, he pulled out his bottom-of-the-box treasures—four golden Golden Cudgels (Replica Edition), and a large bucket of "Nuwa Sky-Patching Glue (Industrial Grade)."
He leaped into the air, charging toward the collapsing hole.
Just then, the high-level Demon Lords who had been watching from the sidelines finally reacted.
"Now! That Daoist is casting a spell! Kill him!"
A five-meter-tall "Baron of Hell" roared, charging over with dozens of Imps. They realized Singularity was the only weak point.
Slayer blocked the path in front of Singularity.
He didn't look back at Singularity, simply breaking open the double-barreled shotgun and loading two Freezing Rune Shells.

[Mission: Defend Target [Singularity].]
[Time: 2:00.]
Combat erupted.
Slayer didn't actively charge; instead, he transformed into the sturdiest line of defense.
An Imp tried to bypass him to attack Singularity in the air. Slayer didn't even turn around; his left arm blade stabbed backward.
Splurt!
Blind kill. The Imp was pinned dead in mid-air.
In front, the Baron of Hell slashed down with flaming dual blades. Slayer raised the Super Shotgun, using the custom "Meat Hook" to latch onto the Baron's shoulder.
Whoosh—!
He used the momentum to launch himself up, kicking the Baron in the face in mid-air. Using the recoil, he completed a 360-degree turn in the air, casually blasting two lunging Gargoyles into pieces.
This was absolute Air Superiority.
Meanwhile, above his head.
Singularity was sweating profusely, conducting "High-Altitude Welding Operations."
"Heaven and Earth Positioning! Five Elements Stabilization!"
Singularity drove the four golden pillars into the north, south, east, and west cardinal points of the hole.
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
The pillars lit up with golden light, forming a stable force field frame that barely propped up the collapsing space.
But it wasn't enough. The cracks were still spreading.
"Need more reinforcement!" Singularity pulled out the bucket of glowing "Nuwa Glue," and with his multi-functional whisk (now in spray gun mode), began spraying along the walls of the hole.
Hiss—
The moment the glue touched the spatial cracks, it instantly solidified into a transparent, high-strength crystal.
The battle below intensified. The number of demons increased. Slayer's ammo was running low; he had switched to the chainsaw, engaging in melee combat to buy every second for Singularity.
"Ten seconds! Hold on, Big Hero!" Singularity roared.
A Doom Hunter fired a missile that grazed Slayer's helmet, heading straight for Singularity.
Slayer's gaze sharpened.
He couldn't jump up to intercept (too far).
He made an astonishing move.
He threw the Super Shotgun in his hand like a dart.
Whoosh—Clang!
The heavy shotgun accurately hit the missile in mid-air. The missile detonated prematurely; the fire swallowed the gun, but Singularity was saved.
In the light of that explosion, Singularity finished carving the final rune.
"Seal!"
Hum————!
Golden light erupted.
The chaotic spatial turbulence calmed instantly.
The rough hole was wrapped in a layer of transparent, indestructible spatial barrier, turning into a perfect, pale-blue glowing "Vacuum Tube."
This was no longer a wound. This was an Elevator Shaft.
Singularity fell from the sky in exhaustion, caught by Slayer with one hand (like catching a basketball).
Slayer put Singularity down, then silently walked over to pick up his somewhat charred shotgun. He wiped the barrel, confirmed it wasn't broken, and reloaded.
Singularity lay on the ground, looking up at the tube filled with both technological feel and cultivation aesthetics. Though half-dead from exhaustion, he couldn't help but smile proudly.
"Whew... Big Hero, it's done."
"This is a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Line to the bottom. In the future, anyone who wants to go to hell just buys a ticket, swipes a card, and whoosh, they're there."
Slayer looked at the tube.
Then looked at the demon corpses covering the ground.
He reached out and pulled Singularity up.
"Destruction vs Reinforcement."
Slayer punched through the world.
Singularity patched the world.
Of these two, one was responsible for smashing the old order to pieces, the other for building the new order to be impregnable.
"Next chapter, Greening the Iron Tree Hell. Since the pipe is open, should we get internet for every layer? Slayer seems to be complaining that the WiFi signal here is too weak..."
